You don't have to bring out the brutality. LL's capable of giving justice without brutality. It does it all the time.

Freedom is a right on this discussion board. That's the precedent that's been set, and that's why this place is popular.

I don't know if you understand that you're essentially like a hacker out to wreak havoc. People haven't heard from you a whole lot until recently, and shortly after you arrive there's trouble, and you're involved, and you're banning people.

I know your perspective is that this is your place, but no one's lived the reality of that for a long time. No one's had to be fearful that there's a banner walking the halls. When you bring it in it's quite foreign. It's like the bully has just taken over your regular lunch table.

i agree with AG. your presence hasn't really been known at all here, randall. in all the years i've come here (i think 9 now) i've hardly seen any posts by you. i'm confused and bewildered at the presence you exhude (very authoritarian) vs. what this site has meant to me and so many others (complete freedom and mostly peace- which is derived FROM working out our stuff, together. it always happens and we've grown accustomed to it and is also another reason we love it). that is the reason for all this ensuing chaos, i think. nobody gets it. but this is our home, collectively, and has been for many of us for years. i'm also a loner, not much of a cliquey type, but i love so many here on LL and you would see a ripple effect (mass exodus) over the coming weeks/months were you to implement your new plans. don't you understand any of what we are saying on the 'other' 'side' here?

I understand what you're saying, AG. And I think you're right. But I tried it your way. It was for my own peace of mind, but I tried the high road. In the process of doing so, chaos erupted. Jesus taught to turn the other cheek. But I ain't Jesus. And sometimes, you just have to punch someone in the face. Talking to them doesn't work. Bosses fire people like that. Like an episode of a sitcom where the parents tried to teach the kids not to fight. The little boy was being bullied. The dad took his son to talk to the bully's dad to help teach his son how to talk things out, and when the dad opened the door, he wouldn't listen and just tried to punch the reasonable father. So, the bullied son's dad punched the other dad in the face. Sometimes, you just have to punch someone in the face.

In any community,if ONE person is ruining it for the many,that person is banned.
It is the rights of the many over the one.
I am not in charge but I would do that if I were.
My Gemini rationality is gone.
I am speaking out of pure emotion which I have held down for a year.
ONE person cannot be allowed to take a whole community hostage.
That person needs to be asked to leave for the sake of the many.
That is my opinion.

WC, I'm trying to restore it back to that. Once order is restored (i.e. people let it rest), freedom will be just as it has been. For the most part, LL polices itself. I just want peace.
