Ronaldo had a huge psychological advantage over Bale. He is Bale's idol, Bale used to imitate him a lot. One normally does not do better than their idol. Bale would have had to cross that mental barrier to outshine Ronaldo, and he did not. In my view, he had already lost the game before it even began.

I had not expected either of these teams to make it this far.

It will be tricky for Portugal against the hosts. When they hosted in 2004, they lost against Greece in the final, maybe it's time to make up for it. I think they have a better chance against France than they would have against Germany.

I get what you mean. There are times I watch some movie just because I find the actress so beautiful even though the whole movie is crap or women's tennis just because the player is so hot, helps me become invested in the game.

Glad to meet u..again. Since you had not popped up here, you know, I was thinking...maybe Doux does not watch the game, she prolly isn't interested in it. I did not take you for the type thats interested in Sports. Even Mae surprised me lol. I knew she was interested, but didn't know she's this crazy about it.

Watching in pubs can be real fun. You can feel the tension in the air, people freaking out, and if there's some hot gal, the game will become a good excuse to initiate the convo. It's far better than watching alone anyway, if a game gets a bit boring I tend to fall .
Speaking of pubs, I'm thinking of watching the final in one, coz portugal can be damn boring at times doe .
