I love this show. It is filmed very close to where I live. The original season 10 finale that was delayed is on October 4. There will be an extended season 10 with six episodes early next year. Season 11 will have 24 episodes, carrying it to 2022. That will be the end of The Walking Dead. However, Fear will still be going on. And a brand new spin-off will start on October 4 called World Beyond. It's slated to only last two seasons, but we know it will probably continue. The three Rick Grimes movies are going to be released in theaters, starting probably in 2022. But the best news of all is that Daryl and Carol won't be killed off, because they are getting their own spin-off! Another spin-off is going to be an anthology series with short stories called Tales from the Walking Dead. We will be able to see long-dead characters return! So, while it's sad to see TWD end, we will still have a lot to watch. We will be able to see World Beyond and Fear on the same night.

Oh...Don't be sad... Enjoy it as much as you can for as long as it lasts...

Maybe a new series will be released afterwards and maybe it's going to be even better than this that you won't believe it! Be happy now that Daryl and Carol won't be killed in the end!

(I have to be honest. I have absolutely no idea who is Daryl and Carol).

I asked today some teenage boys if they know this series and "of course!!!" they know it! They even "scolded" me that I had never heard of it before!

If I ever watch this series, I will be surely hiding behind the couch, covered with a blanket and only my eyes will be visible!!! 👀

It must be scaaaaryyyy!

It's scary, but you also get to know the characters really well.

Dear Dumuzi, I am a woman, so please excuse me for being afraid when watching scary movies.

That's why we, women, need you, men, who are strong and brave to protect us...

you need someone to protect you from the tv? 🤔

nearly every horror movie fanatic i've known has been a woman tbh, my mother is obsessed with horror movies and halloween, other family members friends etc

most people will watch it or read it or whatever but it's pretty much exclusively women i've known who have been really into horror

when it comes to horror i'd rather play a video game than watch or read something personally, more interactive/immersive and keeps my attention better

Anyone wanting to get started with the show can begin fresh on Sunday with the new series, World Beyond. You don't need to know anything about the other two shows.

The show will be released here on Tuesday on Netflix and so, since it is your favourite one, I'm sending you all my best wishes to really enjoy tonight's first episode.

Protection from the TV? A show like this is terrifying, because you are on the edge of your seat. You don’t know if or when your fave characters will die.

Case in point, the finale was a rush of adrenaline! Best. Episode. Ever.

World Beyond was great. Unlike Fear, which had a very slow start and took a season or even two to get good, this show is off to a good start.

it was a joke, that being said i've never found anything i've watched terrifying, and the walking dead bores the **** out of me tbh

like i said before it's a lot of walking with occasional violence thrown in people dying is about the only time anything actually happens and the suspense isn't really built up

the tension in movies like martyrs (the original anyway havent seen the remake) or high tension (which had such a ******* garbage ending) is significantly better than anything the walking dead captures and even then not particularly scary

i can't wrap my head around a person finding a show terrifying 🤷‍♀️ they're not particularly gripping or immersive no matter how much happens you're still removed from it

i can grasp it more with horror games because you're being engaged in the game, so the tension is put on you through immersion more, but even then...

the walking dead fails hard at holding my attention on any level seemed promising at first quickly started to feel monotonous

i watched it for a while because my ex liked it, but many of the story arcs just feel like filler and the show could have been significantly shorter

It's certainly subjective, but the suspense of not knowing if and when a favorite character will come to an end and seeing those close calls is a formula that has worked well for the show.

Carol was about to die, but it was lame, because this was the long-delayed finale that couldn't be released due to needing post-production finishes, and by now we had already heard she was getting her own show, so we knew that she wouldn't die. It took away all of the suspense.

I've been meaning to write in this thread since morning, but it was just impossible. I was too busy and I had too many people around me.

I'm driving now, but I'm going to write anyway.

So, I was all ready to watch the first episode of Season 10 yesterday, as it was announced by Netflix. I had all the lights on, I had all the couch pillows around me and I had the other television playing the news.

But it never showed anything from Season 10. I read somewhere that we can't watch it after all. At least not yet.

So, I watched the last episode (The Storm) from Season 9 and then the episode before that and the episode before that! They were amazing! So many actors! What a scenery! What a concept! I closed my eyes every time there was a terrifying scene!

You should start with Season 1. Watch the first episode, and let me know what you think.
