I don't think all that many Americans know about the NFL game in the UK last week. During the National Anthem, players took a knee...then rose to their feet and stood respectfully for "God Save The Queen".

So, let's hear no more bullshiiite from leftist loons that NFL players didn't and don't intend disrespect for our flag, National Anthem and for the United States when they kneel.

The raw data shows that when asked, “What has changed about your relationship with the NFL?” 80 percent said they will watch less football on TV because of the controversy and more than 53 percent said they are more supportive of Trump since his remarks last month that the protests are disrespectful to the U.S., its flag and the men and women in the military and law enforcement who sacrifice to protect all Americans.

In fact, 77 percent said they believe it is wrong for players to kneel during the national anthem — a protest begun in 2016 by a former NFL player who claimed he kneeled because of social injustice in the U.S.

It’s also noteworthy that 79 percent of respondents said they are a football fan, which Yahoo Finance explained is a statistic in keeping with its decision to only survey people who “patronize the NFL.”

“Those findings all have financial implications for the NFL and its 32 team owners,” Yahoo Finance reported.

And standing for God Save The Queen is especially egregious, since the National Anthem was involved in our conflict with Great Britain. But I wouldn't expect those meatheads to know anything about history.

This meathead has never bowed to the queen, but I'll take her over trump. Our two countries have been allies for a long time, so enough of the thumbs down for my home country.

Speaking of which: Bill o'reilly can **** off with that book title of his, Killing England.

The thumbs down was for the meatheads, not the UK.

CLAIM
The NFL's rulebook contains a regulation specifically requiring players to stand on the sideline during the pre-game playing of the U.S. national anthem.

WHAT'S TRUE

The NFL's rulebook says nothing about player conduct during the pre-game playing of the U.S. national anthem.

WHAT'S FALSE

The NFL's game operations manual may contain a policy stating that players must be present on the sidelines during the national anthem, but not that they must stand.

ORIGIN
Partway into the 2017 NFL season, the practice begun by San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick during the previous year’s exhibition season — of kneeling on the sidelines (rather than standing) during the playing of the U.S. national anthem before games in order to symbolize opposition to racial injustice in America — had become widespread around the league. Many players — and some whole teams — had similarly started “taking a knee” on the sidelines, or staying in the locker room, while pre-game renditions of “The Star-Spangled Banner” were played in football stadiums.

The protest gained momentum after United States President Donald Trump issued comments prior to the NFL’s Week 3 schedule suggesting that football players who declined to stand during the national anthem should be fined, that fans should boycott games, and that the league should alter their policy to force players to stand during pre-game ceremonies:

You are jumping the gun. He HAS a meeting with the owners to see where to go with it.

Actually I did and I can type it out for you in case your trump infection affects your hearing.

quote:
The NFL and NFLPA released a joint statement Wednesday saying that there has been no change to their stance on protests during the national anthem.

Players have not been forced to stand as President Donald Trump claimed Wednesday.

"There has been no change in the current policy regarding the anthem," the statement read. "The agenda will be a continuation of how to make progress on the important social issues that players have vocalized. Everyone who is part of our NFL community has a tremendous respect for our country, our flag, our anthem and our military, and we are coming together to deal with these issues in a civil and constructive way."

Fake news by the Donald passed off as "truth" by his peeps:

quote:
Trump tweeted Wednesday lauding the NFL for forcing players to stand for the national anthem.

President Trump heard him say that he thought players should stand. I guess his opinion isn't a mandate yet.

You need to go back to CNN if you want to find fake news. This was a reasonable interpretation of what the NFL head said.

Mother Jones to avoid the *gasp* Breitbart! responses http://www.motherjones.com/crime-justice/2017/10/colin-kaepernick-donated-25000-to-black-women-and-conservatives-lost-their-minds/

Damn, I remember the days when I had a subscription!

Anyway, his pig/cop socks were distasteful, but this is reprehensible. He needs to lose the socialist Muslim gf and the self tanner, then find a good therapist to sort out his daddy issues.

The more I'm reminded of about our queen, the more I like her.

Unfortunately, I was also reminded that DT wanted to date princess Diana. He was tasteless enough to say that she would have to get an AIDS test first. He also wanted william's wife to show her ******* , apparently.

Such class.

Yer guilty of trumpitis. Take 2 slugs of wiskey and go read 6 months of Mother Jones. If you still feel the need for alternate facts , call Anderson Cooper to get it straight.
