On the other hand, it's obvious you're thrilled when anyone shows disgusting, deplorable, contemptible disrespect for our flag, our National Anthem and America itself.

Fortunately, leftist whack jobs are in the minority in the United States.

Hardly, but you are biased and delusional. Kneeling is not disrespectful. Booing and yelling through the anthem are. That's what your guys were doing.

This seriously isn`t the big dastardly deal it is made out to be. Trump made it so and everyone ran with it.

Peaaceful protesting is a Constitutional right.

Peaceful protesting, on the job , is up to the owners to fire members or stop it. Simple yes??

Now, what is Trumps teeth gnashing diverting us from?

BS and hyperbole. Advertisers don't get a guarantee from the show they piggyback on. They can vote with their feet (Like many of Rushs sponsors for instance) How credulous can you get?

And for the hyperbole jwhype unsurprisingly takes the cake

disgusting, deplorable, contemptible disrespect for our flag, our National Anthem and America itself.

Do you really just swallow everytime DT hams it up? Or are you so far gone that the sight of black men kneeling instead of standing appears to be a doomsday event?

Its FOOTBALL fellas.. a game. never was about the flag until the Pentagon paid for pomp. Brainwashing 101 (though most people take time out for their beer during the charade dont they?)

You don't like violence but when people protest peacefully youre DISGUSTED.

as Juni astutely pointed out...

All of these deflections serve a purpose.

Diversionary tactics that work quite well, always have with media and peeps alike.

Trump’s incendiary tweets are the human equivalent of a charging display: Designed to intimidate his foes and rally his submissive base, these verbal outbursts reinforce the President’s dominance by reminding everybody of his wrath and his force...

THIS IS THE STORY BEHIND COLIN KAEPERNICK KNEELING:

Aug 14, 2016- Colin Kaepernick sits for the national anthem.....and no one noticed.

Aug 20th, 2016- Colin again sits, and again, no one noticed.

Aug 26th, 2016- Colin sits and this time he is met with a level of vitriol unseen against an athlete. Even the future President of the United States took shots at him while on the campaign trail. Colin went on to explain his protest had NOTHING to with the military, but he felt it hard to stand for a flag that didn't treat people of color fairly.

Then on on Aug 30th, 2016 Nate Boyer, a former Army Green Beret turned NFL long snapper, penned an open letter to Colin in the Army Times. In it he expressed how Colin's sitting affected him.

Then a strange thing happened. Colin was able to do what most Americans to date have not...

He listened.

In his letter Mr. Boyer writes:

"I’m not judging you for standing up for what you believe in. It’s your inalienable right. What you are doing takes a lot of courage, and I’d be lying if I said I knew what it was like to walk around in your shoes. I’ve never had to deal with prejudice because of the color of my skin, and for me to say I can relate to what you’ve gone through is as ignorant as someone who’s never been in a combat zone telling me they understand what it’s like to go to war.

Even though my initial reaction to your protest was one of anger, I’m trying to listen to what you’re saying and why you’re doing it."

Mr. Boyer goes on to write "There are already plenty people fighting fire with fire, and it’s just not helping anyone or anything. So I’m just going to keep listening, with an open mind.
I look forward to the day you're inspired to once again stand during our national anthem. I'll be standing right there next to you."

Empathy and understanding was shown by Mr. Boyer.........and Mr. Kaepernick reciprocated. Colin invited Nate to San Diego where the two had a 90 minute discussion and Nate proposed Colin kneel instead of sit.

But why kneel? In a military funeral, after the flag is taken off the casket of the fallen military member, it is smartly folded 13 times and then presented to the parents, spouse or child of the fallen member by a fellow service member while KNEELING. The two decided that kneeling for the flag would symbolize his reverence for those that paid the ultimate sacrifice while still allowing Colin to peacefully protest the injustices he saw.

Empathy, not zealotry under the guise of patriotism, is the only way meaningful discussion can be had.

Mr. Kaepernick listened to all of you that say he disrespects the military and extended an olive branch to find a peace.

If that s a true story, it explains so much behind the scenes. Heart touching for sure.

If not true, it`s great thinking and how people should be.

What nonsense an drivel. Do any of you leftists ever know what you're talking about before you pop off with bullshiiite?

This is what the leader of the pack of disgusting, deplorable, contemptible, imbecilic protestors said about WHY he refused to stand for the flag and National Anthem.

Colin Kaepernick:

August 27, 2016
"I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,"

So, these so called protests are a showing of total disrespect for the American flag and the National Anthem...as well as America itself.

Americans are fed up with the politicization of sports and more fed up with overpaid, pampered halfwits trying to cram their leftist views down America's throat.

Keep it up halfwits. Keep it up NFL and as your television audience, television revenues and ticket revenues decline you won't be able to pay these pampered little princes the salaries they've come to expect.

Or, you could shut your stupid mouths, follow NFL rules..already written and in your contracts....and play football.

As America said to the Dixie Chicks...shut the hell up and sing!

It's pure, unadulterated bullshiite.

No one has a right to protest on private property or at work without the specific consent of the business or property owner.

Let these halfwits take their soapboxes down on the corner and protest till their little America hating hearts are emptied of their bilge and bile.

NFL owners who consent to their players disrespecting the American Flag, the National Anthem and America are in violation of NFL rules.

“The specific NFL rule pertaining to the national anthem is found on pages A62-63 of the league rulebook. It states: The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem.

“During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition.

It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.”

That's clear enough for English speakers.

Surely as private employer it is their call. The NFL is not complaining. Let them deal with it how is it your business?

In the "2017 Official Playing Rules of the National Football League," there are no specific directives for what players should do during the national anthem. In fact, neither the anthem nor the flag are ever mentioned....

In fact, in 2016 the NFL made clear that players were not required to stand for the anthem.

"Players are encouraged but not required to stand during the playing of the national anthem," the NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said last year after 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick's protests gained attention...

The report found the Department of Defense had spent $6.8 million on what they called "paid patriotism" between 2012 and 2015. This money was spread out among 50 pro teams from the NFL, NBA, MLB, NASCAR, MLS and others.

Players are encouraged but not required to stand during the playing of the National Anthem,” the NFL said in a statement issued Saturday, in response to the controversy that emerged when 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick opted not to stand during the playing of the national anthem on Friday night in Santa Clara, prior to a game against the Packers

"I know our players who kneeled for the anthem, and these are smart young men of character who want to make our world a better place for everyone," Ross said. "They wanted to start a conversation and are making a difference in our community, including working with law enforcement to bring people together. We all can benefit from learning, listening and respecting each other."
