Exactly what did Corker say? That most Republicans want to deal with the Dreamers? So? In case you were napping or had your set locked on CNN, President Trump offered a path to citizenship for the Dreamers, and he even included more people than those. The Dems turned it down.

He said there's really no fight except in DT's Reality TV version of events. The shutdown is pointless.

And everybody's favorite republican until recently, Reagan, actually did advocate for open borders.

Dems are not but don't let that stop you repeating the Trompette party line🙈🙉🙊

And while Reagan did mull creating a ditch at the border, he never called for a wall — he called for the opposite.

“Rather than talking about putting up a fence, why don’t we work out some recognition of our mutual problems? Make it possible for them to come here legally with a work permit, and they, while they’re working and earning here, they’d pay taxes here. And when they want to go back, they can go back. They can cross. Open borders both ways,” he said in 1980.

The Wall is a scam in a long line of scams from a polished professional scammer.

The Trump scam worked like this. They would take investor money for anywhere that they could get it. Banks were reluctant to lend to Trump after his five bankruptcies, so the pressure was on to mislead investors and buyers, which is exactly what Trump and his kids did. The Trumps inflated their ownership role in projects while taking a cut of many areas and profiting even when projects failed, and investors lost their money.

The Trump family is not a tale of dynastic business titans.

And in the meantime, more illegal alien invaders come here illegally and work without a green card as well as committing hundreds of thousands of crimes.

They cross the border illegally and DO NOT GO BACK HOME.

Ronald Reagan said the biggest mistake he made was signing the amnesty for illegal aliens.

1986:
One-time amnesty for illegal aliens
In 1986 I voted for the Simpson-Mazzoli immigration bill because we were told it would solve the problem of massive illegal immigration.

In his diaries, President Ronald Reagan said he was going to sign the bill because we had to regain control of our borders. The Simpson-Mazzoli bill contained three promises:
1. The government would make a concerted effort to control the borders.
2. An effective employer verification program would ensure that only legal workers were hired.
3.One-time amnesty would be granted for people illegally in the United States.

All three promises were broken. The government has made no serious effort to control our borders. Employers continue knowingly to hire illegal immigrants without any real fear of punishment.

Can you explain what this means, please, ... what"shutdown money" is going to build the Scammer's Monument?

Tweeted today by the loneliest prez...

"The Wall is different than the 25 Billion Dollars in Border Security. The complete Wall will be built with the Shutdown money plus funds already in hand"

Does he think he is saving the money not being paid meanwhile?

And, actually illegal immigration numbers have been going down since 2007. Not up, tho they did go up for awhile.

Meanwhile no harm to employees right?

“As we discussed, I am a Federalemployee who has recently beenfurloughed due to a lack of fundingof my agency,” read the template letters addressed to creditors, mortgage companies and landlords. “Because of this, my income hasbeen severely cut and I am unableto pay the entire cost of my rent, along with my other expenses.”

...Earlier this week, Trump claimed that he has spoken to furloughed workers and that “many” have no problem with not getting paid, so long as it is in service of border security. On Thursday, he continued to diminish the impact of the shutdown by tweeting that “most of the people not getting paid are Democrats.”

http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-news/trump-mar-a-lago-ne w-year-eve-party-shutdown-773385/?

Good to know that only inferior / disloyal people, Democrats, are losing pay, right? The president cares only for his base? Or how else does one interpret this?

^^ I just came to post the same thing. You know his supporters will be just fine with the fact that Democrats aren't getting paid. This, after two years of being told we need to understand rump supporters, dig deep and open our hearts to Nazi's, like so-and-so in the Midwest, profiled by a big paper that should know better.

Tweets from the House of Hysterics

….The United States looses soooo much money on Trade with Mexico under NAFTA, over 75 Billion Dollars a year (not including Drug Money which would be many times that amount), that I would consider closing the Southern Border a “profit making operation.” We build a Wall or…..

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 28, 2018

We will be forced to close the Southern Border entirely if the Obstructionist Democrats do not give us the money to finish the Wall & also change the ridiculous immigration laws that our Country is saddled with. Hard to believe there was a Congress & President who would approve!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 28, 2018

Once again, why do we need a wall if we can shut the border without it? If i were playing poker with him i would call and raise this bluff..

And I thought he just negotiated a dream deal with Mexico and Canada... can't he even keep track of his victory claims?

4 pinocchios and a Donkeyskin for the naked Emperor!

The man has a fully REPUB Exec and Legislative govt, but like banks and real estate owners around the world before them, they just won't do what he demands... which is to ignore business and govt ethics and bulldoze the opposition into trading their own interests for his favour. Boohoo.

Too bad he couldn't buy a few more senators, then it would be 150% obvious that it is he who can't control his party, he who blows deals by trying to bully people into them, and he (not the US) who needs the unnecessary Wall.. as a monument to Himself.

He means holding all kinds of business and people to ransom for his ego monument. The WH is issuing suggested letters to help employees get credit (debt) due to their loss of pay.

Not a lot of people believe him that the minority party is the problem. He wanted this shutdown he owned it, .its his.

The King of Debt.. his own nick for himself. Now he wants us all to operate on tick. But points out to his base that those suffering are mostly not cult members.

What a prince

Hardly. And if you were telling the truth about the wall: WHERE WAS THE REPUBLICAN SUPPORT FOR IT?

What were their arguments against it at the time?
Why don't those arguments apply now that the Democrats do not want a wall?

Where was republican support for it, when the Democrats supposedly wanted it?

Both parties advocated for a barrier (fence) and passed the law with bipartisan support.

The bill was introduced on September 13, 2006 by Congressman Peter T. King, Republican of New York. In the House of Representatives, the Fence Act passed 283–138 on September 14, 2006. On September 29, 2006 the Fence Act passed in the Senate 80–19.
