Polls that are overweighted...to democrats or republicans, overweighted by gender, by age, by geography are worthless. Of course you wouldn't know that unless you bother to read the 'poll internals'.

Thusly, Fox polled way more democrats than republicans and got the result they wanted. Biden beats Trump by 12 points in a head to head matchup....so says the Fox Poll.

But, that's not reality! Polling companies tried the same nonsense in 2016...overweighting their polls to favor Hillary The Corrupt. Trump won 306-232, that's a win by 74 electoral votes...a knockout!

So, aside from checking poll internals, what could rational people do to protect themselves against rabid partisan nonsense by polling companies?

You could check what else is going on in the world of politics..especially by candidates.

There's this:

Trump fills an arena to overflowing in Manchester, New Hampshire...11,500 people, some of whom waited in line to get in from the night before the event.

At the same time, in the same city, Manchester, Joe 'Plugs' O'Biden draws about 30..that's right, THIRTY, not 30,000, but THIRTY people to his event.

Based on those numbers, Crash Dummies can safely say Joe 'Plugs' beats Trump by 12 points.

my point is all polls are skewed, because they only select x amount of the population to poll so even if the results are further skewed than what they started with the sample is likely to be ****** from the beginning

I don't read, or present polls, as indicative of anything but the pollsters' inherent bias. The questions, the people asked, and the conclusions are all skewed by the viewpoint and process of the pollster. Your beloved Rasmussen deem themselves competent to decide who is or is not a likely voter. Others have different distorting lenses.
