quote: Originally posted by Tigerlily: Cancer Sun (plus Cancer Mercury and Mars) with a Virgo Moon here - I've lived with/suffered/endured serious depression (with an obsessive desire to commit suicide) for pretty much my whole life. Of course, due to my Soul age and awareness level I know I can't commit suicide, but sadly I think about it/fantasize about it all the time.I've had a really hard life...and I had an even harder childhood. So the astrological placements merely reflect the life conditions that caused the constant and enduring depression and suicidal thoughts in the first place.
Same Sun/Moon combo as you Tiger and I've been dealing with depression on and off for most of my life. I wonder if its circumstancial or organic sometimes, I've just been dealt alot of sh%tty cards for a long time, but on the otherhand why am *I* so prone? It was so bad at one period of time (ages 16-17) that I literally slept for days at a time.
My earth Moon is in the 8th and I have a 12th house stellium including Saturn my chart ruler so I am a loner by nature, but its so unfullfilling to my 7th house Sun and 5th house air Venus who wants the one-to-one relationships/human contact. My best friend lives 700 miles up the eastcoast from me, I've only had one real boyfriend, and I haven't been out with a guy since I left Rhode Island in 2008. How the hell do I balance these contrary influences? My friend in class is a Capricorn Moon who told me she's on anti-depressants. Says she's been dealing with these issues for most of her life(she'll be 30 in November).

I had a couple years of chronic depression... it lifted after I started Lexapro. I'm no longer on it, now... but would quickly go back if that every happened again. I suggest finding the right doctor and the right medication... IP: Logged |

Medication is a waste of time for depression try fruit juices and fruit and got to the root of why one is depressed. What are you passionate about. Find your passion and read Linda Goodman's star signs and Love signs and all the astrology books etc posted in another post. But go to the Doctor and get thier expert opinion if you are clincally depressed. I found medication to make depression worse but I wasn't taking zoloft for depression but clopixal for schizopherna. There was a time I was sucicidal but I had a dream about the afterlife three months after Dad passed away. I was suicidual with medication a few years ago and I was very depressed on clopixal until I started drinking freashly squeezed juices like oranges and mixed freashly squeezed juices like apples, honey dew and rockmelon etc but there was alot of other things that I journalled about.IP: Logged |

Virgo Moon here, and I've been depressed for as long as I can remember. It's in the 5th, but it doesn't help. Scorpio Sun, Mercury, Mars and Pluto. Fire void.IP: Logged |

Doux What do you have planets in Fire houses? Also you have Jupiter,a ruler of a fire house, conjunct Venus Would THAT give your Venus some "fire"? Do you know what I mean? People helped me access earth in my chart cuz I am an earth void.I had earth in ways such I am trying to describe to you,but feel I am failing lol For example,I have Saturn conjunct the ASC so people said I had a form of earth cuz Saturn rules Cap. ------------------ Throw away your books and listen to your heart.Listen the closest when it hurts the most. Yes I have Moon in the 5th, but that's about it. I only have Uranus and Neptune in the 9th, but they are not personal planets so...I have a loaded 6th house, which is Virgo's house. Plus my Moon is in Virgo. And Virgo isn't exactly the happiest sign.. ahem. IP: Logged |

Depression here I'm afraid, but mostly because my life is difficult as we have a poorly disabled 4 year old son, and life is anything but normal. I'm on anti-depressants and they are helping somewhat.I'm supposed to be starting CBT/Stress Management too, but its at 6:30pm on a weekday, the other side of town. Its ridiculous; like I have the ability to cope with my son after school, give him his dinner and get out of the house by 5:30 - in a state fit enough to do a course like that, even if my husband could be home in time!! Ridiculous! Capricorn Moon. Stupid stupid stupid. Love Capricorn people, hate my Capricorn Moon. I tend to agree with that theory, that Earth and Water Moons are inclined to get depressed more often than, say, Fire Moons.I've noticed that in my environment. And this topic is also a proof, somewhat. IP: Logged |

I have a taurus moon. I have depression problems, but bathing in red light seems to help. That and listening to Red Hot Chili Peppers

Well I have a Fire Moon. I get depressed here and there but I find I mostly try to hide it behind a smile. → I read somewhere that Out of Bound Moons usually have an issue with depression. ------------------ "Play it f*ckin' loud!" — Bob Dylan IP: Logged |

Me: Cappy moon and suffering from depression. Mum: Moon conjunct sun in Virgo and she has schizophrenia. Dad was acutely depressed... but he had sun conjunct moon in Pisces, exactly opposite my mum's conjunct sun/moon, and it's the relationship which contributed greatly to his depression. Makes you wonder.

Where is RMChex?Anyway, I think alongwith planetary positions the place where we live also plays a big role. Here its mostly sunny. But when its gloomy i feel depressed. So if i were to live in a place where winter is very long i dont know what i might do? IP: Logged |

yes I live somwhere where the cold weather lasts too long. I hate winter. After Christmas I've had enough. I hate driving in it. I loved playing in the snow when I was little though. I Espealsally dislike that inbetween time of February and March where it cold gloomy and windy. Once in a blue moon it snows in May here. It's nice too get a day off work and school though due to a snow day. But in the winter I think why do I live somewhere where it's more cold than hot. I hate being cold, I would rather be hot. I either need to move somewhere warmer, or start vacationing in FL like everyone else who lives in MI durring the winter. lol IP: Logged |

I don't think I'm bipolar, because I've encountered bipolar people before in both of their main states and I've never gotten that extreme before, but I do have some ridiculous highs and lows. What the F is it?On topic: talked to another Virgo Mooner who is on anti-depressants and she says its not a false high, but just a layer of "stuff" that is stripped off. I wonder now....I was never completely anti-meds anyways. It doesn't sound like a bad idea atm. Also, a good scorpio mooner friend of mine confessed to me that she was on anti-depressants through most of highschool. IP: Logged |
