I've noticed that a few of my friends who are manic-depressive have Capricorn moons. Now I know and expect Water moon signs to be emotional and depressed at times, is that true of earth moons as well?

I have also noticed that people I know or have known with a Cap. moon do seem to be very moody,un-emotional,an are more difficult to get close to than other signs.
Maybe my cancer moon(opposite of cap. and also prone to moodiness)is in some part responsible for the missunderstanding I have with my Capricorn moon buddies.

Cappy Moons can be melancholy. Cappy Moon here. No depression.

Cappy Moon here, with Aries Sun & Scorp Rising. I would agree that from time to time I get a little melancholy. However, I think all of those signs are "moody" to some degree, and -- at least in my case -- I never know which has more to do with my moods . . . the Sun, Moon or Ascendant. LOL! All things considered, I'm usually pretty optimistic, but when I am visited by "mood indigo," I tend to be very withdrawn and down.

Just found out today I am a Taurus moon and yes I struggle with depression but that also comes from the low level of lithium that my body makes.

Yep, Cappy Moon, Sun, and Mercury.

Fajita, you should consider taking colloidal minerals. You can get them at Sam's Club for ten bucks a month. They contain over 70 minerals we need (many of them are trace minerals no longer present in our vegetables and fruits), including lithium.

I have four friends with Cancer Moons, some of which have been clinically diagnosed as being bipolar. (ok, that's not an invite into the whether depression is clinical or not debate)

But they are all very depressed, pretty much all the time.

I know 3 Cappy Moons-one Virgo, Aries, and a Taurus. The Virgo is very frinedly and easy to know, bt she's often sick. The Aries and Taurus are very hard to know, and are the kind of people you have to tiptoe around.

Oxychick,

I agree you have to tiptoe around these people....a lot.(no offence Randall...but you're an "enlightened" Cappy) For being so "hard to know" and "aloof" these Cappy moon are sure sensitive!!

As Dr. Evil would say, Really. And Virgo Rising, too. But that Venus and Mars in Aquarius is a big help to balance all that Earth.

Randall-

Of course, you're THE exception to the rule. I would never imply otherwise.

Don't know about Cappy moons, but moon in water = uncontrollable depression spells if you let yourself get out of control, especially if you mess around with drugs.

Make that 5 Cancer moons, and LL, you are absolutely right! I also know a Scorp. moon who is fairly depressive... Drugs defintiely have a tremendous effect on these people!!

LL, don't you have a Pisces moon?

Virgo Moon ruler of 12th house.
My Sag. Sun helps out a little Aries in mars and Aquarius in Venus helps out a little.

Interesting thread guys.

Being a Sag sun and rising, with a Scorp moon, I have always seemed to be able to control my emotions........but lately, I seem to be losing the plot!!!

I am very depressed, crying every day lately and quite frankly, I don't know what the hell is wrong with me, but I'd sure love to.

This is very, very much, not like me at all. Could anyone explain any harsh transits that I'm experiencing right now, as I totally feel quite 'lost' at present.

I am normally such a happy nature, but the feelings I have right now, I just can't seem to shake.

Not nice at all!
