I agree!
Why would I want to cuddle a blanket?
Sigh
Been doing that far too long.

I like that quote, LEXX...

I think the key to being great in a relationship is playfulness. But it must be tempered with knowing that there is a time to be serious.

absolutely...nearly all of my previous relationships were all play...what i mean by that was i got poked, licked, and tickled a lot, no joke

you can believe all of that play was an element to why we broke up

There's a big difference between being playful and being annoying.

You probably need a healthy balance between immature and stuffy. Too mature is bad, as well. Too much seriousness can prevent a relationship from growing.

Oops, I didn't see your response. I like to think that I'm a very well-balanced person and centered between many different extremes.

As for the topic question, yes, a hopeless sugary gooey one yet there are many that do not appreciate such traits or blow it off as "cheesy".

Thanks, Charmaine. And romanticism is never cheesy.

Romance takes effort, and when you add work into the equation, couples just want to relax first and foremost. Plus, if there are children, it makes romance even more difficult to find time for. But it's worth the effort.

I expect alot because I give alot. I've never been completely happy and felt as if most men just don't care to try, are too lazy, don't understand why they should be romantic, weren't taught, are too cool...etc etc.

No offense to the men- this is in MY relationships.

I on the other hand, sneak notes, leave post its, love to surprise, write poems, get all mushy and want to play get to know you more games, I just love knwoing people and understanding them and giving them what they want and need. Send them cheesy songs in their email or play them in the car, get sexy clothes, try my best to make their fantasies come true.

Maybe I was meant to be with a woman? lol

I just need to train the men better :/ Lol it's a joke relax!

I'm a big romantic, but keep it well hidden. My OH of 10 years isn't romantic at all, I don't think, as I was the one always writing the little notes and making little silly love token things. The worst time (and I still cringe thinking about it) was Valentine's day about 6 yrs ago. OH was out somewhere, so I thought I'd surprise him by wearing some sexy underwear for when he came home. Well, he spent all day and all night hanging with his friends, 'forgot' all about what day it was, and after 3 hours of trying to look seductive for the invisible man, I gave up. I won't be doing that again
