How do you deal with that energy? (This is a serious question btw...it happens to be one of the tightest aspects in my chart)

Been there, too. My ex husband was emotionally abusive and manipulative. I was with him for FAR too long and everyone around me wondered why. That description also pertains to most of my ex boyfriends. I idealized them and the relationship far more than anyone should have.

Yeah. There were times where I listened to Bob Dylan, and he blew me away with his lyrics...

They were witty and deep... but, it is the voice that threw me off.

I must be a really late bloomer!! I did have a 3 year relationship when I was 18 but it was dysfunctional and we split. I married someone else when I was 26 because I had gotten pregnant. We were married 8 years but it was a very unhappy union.

NOW I have no doubt I have my life time sweetheart... The one I was looking for all along. I was just looking in the really wrong places before. He is everything I didn't even know I wanted if that makes sense!

MW- I'm not to sure. I think I find that I tell myself that I'm in love with someone more than I actually am. Idealizing them in a way that makes me feel like I should love them, so then I convince myself that I do. And of course I've been through the same thing as far finding guys that treat me badly. On the one hand its sucks, on the other it's better it happened when I'm fairly young so that I can now recognize the pattern and diffuse it. What I'm doing now is waiting to have sex, not because of the guy but to figure out if I want to, to begin with.

I've told myself I was in love when I wasn't. Then I would realize a couple months later I barely even liked the person. That's definitely something that can be overcome though.
