So, how come when I find a stunning woman, she never sees herself as beautiful? Girls like to call themselves "cute" while saying that they wished they were beautiful. How do you girls define: 1. beautiful 2. cute 3. sexy? I read an article recently that said this: "Beauty drives admiration. Cuteness drives affection. Sexiness drives desire." I can sort of see that. People admire the movie star/model type of beauty, cuteness is more of an emotional connection that may not even have to do entirely with looks, and sexy can just be the way a person is dressed, but it amps up desire. And where does "pretty" fall in the spectrum? If a guy has a girlfriend/wife, we learn quickly when asked if a girl is pretty by never saying yes. I say, "She ain't ugly...but she ain't you." Well, I guess it's subjective, but here goes..Beautiful would seem to refer to a 'classic' look. Like, Grace Kelly, or say... Nicole Kidman. There is something refined and removed about 'beautiful'. Cute would be more of a Drew Barrymore kind of thing. Again this is subjective. But taking her features apart one by one, she has alot of 'imperfections' per se, but the overall effect along with her personality, makes her very cute. I think women call themselves 'cute' because this word is the least threatening of the three, and wouldn't invoke as much jealousy and personal attack from other women. If you go around calling yourself 'beautiful' it just seems like you have a big head. That's just the way we are cultured. Sexy would be Angelina Jolie. You look at her face and it smolders. Again, not every feature is perfect, but together and added with the personality, she totally vibes sex. Anyway, that's my opinion! IP: Logged |

that will work The way I see it there are 2 kinds of woman #1 is high maintenance if that's what you really want but... can you afford it? #2 is your normal everyday girl who is a much better bet, she won't die if she doesn't get her 75 dollar pedicure on Wednesday. PS We're all convinced that we're gorgeous because that's the same line every man uses.

Haha! I forgot about gorgeous. I think that's just a term of endearment. For me, it's the totality of the look (including the uniqueness added by her imperfections) that make a girl stunning to me. IP: Logged |

I don't think I am an every day girl by any stretch of the imagination. But I don't need someone with a lot of money either 1) Cute is cute and has an air of innocence. 2) Sexy smolders and has nothing to do with anything besides sex appeal which has nothing to do with wearing lots of makeup or skimpy clothes. 3) Beautiful is harder to define because it's so across the board to me. And subjective as well. IP: Logged |

Beautiful seems like it is talking about actual "features" in a way you would look at a painting or a piece of artwork.Cute adds the personality to it. It has a sense of liking who someone is,inside, as well as liking the outside. Sexy is someone who fits in their skin, I think. It is someone who is confident enough to be relaxed about who they are. ------------------ Pluto conjunct Dejanira, Girlfriend. IP: Logged |

I went to cosmetology school when I was 19. Went all the way through and never got my license because in the last 6 weeks we had to cut walk-ins hair, and everyone brought their kids. That traumatized me for life. It's no fun cutting a wiggly kids hair, unless they are your own.I groom my dog too. That's just a strictly cheap-o thing. I pretty much suck at it, but his hair grows out every two weeks, so that would be 80 dollars a month. Sometimes I wonder if the other dogs in the neighborhood make fun of him. IP: Logged |

Some find me attractive, some do not. I actually felt like a troll when I was young and thin. I feel differently now. I am low maintenance. I just cut a path to see out of!LOL! If my haphazardly tied up hair and naked face isn't enough to please...... Oh well! I'm usually a minimalist... What you see is what you get!LOL! Like it or not! For me personally ... I told my husband not to tell me that I'm cute. From my perspective puppies, kittens, babies, and such are cute. Maybe this is my Virgo rising stance???IP: Logged |

My fave pic too. Lexx you don't need any 'trussing' up. Or T either. Must be nice!!The original question still intrigues me. Randall said, why don't the women he meets think they are stunning. I wonder what a man would really think if he said, "how do you see yourself?" and we answered, "STUNNING!" Hmmm, interesting. Oh, NVM, he's off watching Zombies right now, probably can't hear me! I've had issues around this my whole life. I've attracted attention, but didn't think much of my looks - I occasionally thought I looked okay, maybe even pretty at times, but nothing special. Not long before my nineteenth birthday, I thought my Dad's friend was just being nice to him, when I shook his hand, looked up at him, and he said, "Very pretty".I still don't think that I was stunning, but when I look back at photos from as little as four years ago, but especially those from ten years ago, I see how wrong I was. A few months ago, women on another site were all saying the same thing: they didn't think themselves ugly, but didn't realize just how good they looked. I like to do the odd face mask, and I moisturize every day, but I've never been one for pedicures or manicures. My sister has always attracted attention, as pretty as she is - she's had guys go all soppy over her when serving her, when she's been out with family, embarrassing her - and she takes care of herself. She's into the makeup, skin care, hair care, clothes (without being superficial with it - she just wants to look nice). I wish I'd followed her more with that, because once I'm dressed up nicely, I enjoy it. IP: Logged |

Interesting question. I want to answer this. My home computer just crasht. So won't be around that much until i've got a new one.As I speak for myself. It's what i call the sweet momento's in life. Sometimes I find myself all these things and other moments I don't. You don't always look good. Emotions and everyday life causes that. And it is always nice to hear someone say those things to you. That also depends on the moment. Its also a matter of taste. And everyday people can just be as beautiful and sexy as moviestar's..... mmmm,it can be modesty or non believe or what does he want from me when a woman reacts that way. Or at that moment it's not important to hear those words. Yes woman are complicated LOL. And of course it's a sensitive thing because woman are mostly judged at these points. And not to mention what it does among them, oh is she prettier then me etc.. Well if a man want that i look like a model or in way that's just not me, than I have the following words for him bye, bye, baby, bye, bye. That's the good thing about becoming older you can care less sometimes. Buth don't forget about the sweet momento's in life as I said before.

Haha! T, not matching is cool now. So are wrinkles. I never iron, and I seldom match; if I do, it's by accident. I'm absolutely certain that you're beautiful no matter how you dress. For you, it would be a sheer impossibility not to be. IP: Logged |
