The only people whose thoughts matter, about your insecurities, are yourself, and those you choose to love and accept in your lives. The only people who can hurt you, are those you give that power to.

There is not a single person in the entire world who is not insecure about something, who does not wish for something to be different, no matter how tiny.

Everyone tries so hard to hide everything they dislike about themselves, all their flaws, all their insecurities, all their fears.

We do not see ourselves for who we truly are, we look out from behind our eyes, from behind our minds, our hearts. We see ourselves from the inside out. A distorted view, like looking through glass. Of course we present different sides to different people. Only by taking in what everyone we care about thinks of us can we truly piece together a complete picture of ourselves.

My friend described me the other day as; intense, emotional, and introverted. That I try so hard to hide my feelings from people, and from myself. Sometimes others can hold the mirrors that help us see ourselves more clearly.

Well here goes...So yeah I'm a girl but I noticed that I have a shadow on my upper lip. I got teased alot in high school about this. I have tried waxing & plucking but it made it worse (I have dark hair & tan skin). My self esteem is gone, I take the train to go to school, shopping & etc. sometimes the train is packed & people are about 5cm from my face. I notice them staring & I just feel bad. That's why I choose not to go out anymore. As whiny as this sounds. I honestly feel like no guy will like me (at least now...Most guys my age are shallow as f*ck). In high school I overheard guys saying: 'I would never date that girl she looks like a man' or 'She looked cute until I noticed her upper lip'.

I used to ask my mom & friends if the shadow was visible. Liars! It's amazing how total strangers can be honest while your loved ones can lie in your face.

Nope but I do have chiron in the 7th house. I'm thinking about electrolysis hopefully it'll work. I was also thinking about going on the pill but eh I'm scared that there will be bad side effects. I'm trying to convince myself that looks don't matter & it's the inside that counts but let's be real, people do judge. Hopefully I will stop being so sensitive as I grow older, I'm still in my late teens, physical appearance counts alot.

^If it really bothers you personally you could get a No!No hair removal. But in general insecurities don't go away even after you fix the problem, things don't magically become perfect. Sometimes you just have to accept them and fix the psychological affect it has on you.

No no would not work on me, the hairs are dark & stuck under the skin which looks like a 5 o clock shadow. I have tried accepting myself. Somedays I feel good & other days not so much. The teasing definitely messed me up psychologically. The problem with me is 10 people can tell me that I look gorgeous but there will always be 3 people that will tell me the opposite. I have realized that I pay more attention to the negative comments instead of the positives.I must stop that I,know. I don't think I'm ugly, but it's when I start comparing myself to other girls, that's when I feel insecure. I definitely do have that inferiority complex (saturn in the 1st). But I'm starting to realize that this is all just in my mind, I am not inferior, I just think I am.

Honestly, my lack of ability to make the correct choice.

I'm terrible terrible terrible at that, and I know it.

Physically.attractiveness, is not the problem more or less my insecurity is that I have a real problem accepting actual kindness or someone being genuinely attracted and wanting to get to know me.

Which in it's own weird way is far far more of a problem than a physical feature.

Consider a world were you are always wrong, no matter your intentions or sincerity or self denial.

It makes one very emotionally tough, but vulnerable at the same time.

Lack balance, self forgiveness, acceptance, so busy helping others that denial of my own needs is second nature.

What is that great line from Silence of the Lambs:

"Dr Lector, maybe you should turn that high powered perception in on yourself"?

I'll literally have nice (and very attractive) ladies throw themselves at me and my thought is not be egotistic it is:

"OMG, what if I screw this one up again?"

What is worse, is I'll have professional type folks tell me "you are to smart for you own good"

Nice..thanks.

Lack cash, or it is freezing outside?

No problem, not only will I buy you a drink I'll give you a ride home

And this is x 3

Suspect that there is a difference between being "in" that genre and being "outside".

Over and over again.

Well at least with Saturn in the 1st you'll age backwards . Comparing yourself to other girls will make you go crazy, besides you'll never actually know what's going on in another girl's head she could be feeling as insecure as you do about her image or something else. We never know exactly what kind of emotional demons a person may have. Even those that try to bully you. Just stand up for yourself, or develop that confidence for yourself. Men well boys in your case are just as insecure about themselves as women are. Yet some believe by getting the "perfect girl" it can make up for whatever insecurities they have. You could try a dermatologist but it could be hormonal.

In the meantime you could always buy a stick of Kryolan wax online (it's what drag queens use to flatten their eyebrows so they can re-draw them) and some close matching concealer and foundation. The Kryolan wax will flatten any kind of hair on your skin, and the concealer will help it blend better.

What would chiron conj. the ASC indicate in this instance? I have it, so I'm curious.

What do I feel SECURE about is the question.

Nah I am just insecure about some shallow, meaningless stuff but overall, an inability to be a regular, normal person who is an integral part to the society.

And at the same time, idgaf. :/

I am stumped as to why so many here are insecure about their looks.
In my opinion most are what I see as normal to thin and some outright skinny.
Yet they see themselves as fat.
I am fat, most likely the fattest person at LindaLand.
I do not value my worth by that.
If someone can only see that, then they are too shallow for me.
And age, some here here make fun of "old" folks.
And some complain of being old too when they are not.
Why is age so important to many?
I am pushing 60, so what?
Add in that I have facial hair and am comfortable with it; yet folks take it upon themselves to advise me how to get rid of it.
LOL! I actually wish it were more not less!
I am an androgyne/intersex so why should I try to please the general male/female populace?
Yet again folks take it upon themselves to advise me how to be more feminine.
Ugh.
So I love myself and enjoy my own company of myself;
and feel compelled to avoid most folks because "they" judge me based on my appearance;
or want something from me but have little to no intentions of reciprocity.;
or want to change me.
Ugh.
I just do not want to waste my time with shallow and immature people.
Their viewpoints/opinions on looks are worthless to me.
No sense in trying to please such jerks.
So in a nutshell;
What am I insecure about?
Trusting folks.
However that is not based on any insecurity of my personal self.
I do love and value myself.
I have learned that too often people are not honest.
I am baffled at how often I give my trust and have gotten screwed over.
So from hereon it would take a lot for me to trust anyone here completely and in my offline life.
I do not see that as insecurity but as having learned that there are too many folks who cannot be 100% true to me nor even sadly, themselves.
