Do older women dress themselves up and go looking for younger guys. I have had a few run ins with these women. I had one yesterday. I was wondering if it is frequent or if you know of older women who go out on the prowl for younger guys?

I always ask them if they live by themselves and they all say yes. Everytime, I ask them if I can come over and they are usually hesitant, "well I don't know you" but eventually they all agree to let me come over. I am not saying that I actually take the invite on all or any of the situations.

from which age is a woman older, generally?

it may depend on the regions of the world too.

The more cougars go looking for younger guys, the more mature men are available for me

My Saturn conjunct Sun and Mars in Capricorn are very happy about that!

And yeah, it is a trend that has been going on for a few years now. Divorced or widowed women, or even single women of over 40 tend to go more for younger men but mostly this is to just have some fun. I personally find it a rediculous trend, but maybe I'm just not seeing the attraction.

If it is just sexual,I think it is gross, too.
However,if it is the heart. The heart supercedes all.
I have a female friend who is young but perhaps the wisest of my friends.
If you find a heart and soul to love, don't let age stop you

Im 28. Are older men ever really mature? The older men are a little bit more sophisticated than the younger chaps but that is *Men for you. I don't know what you would call me.

i was just asking, because i'm not so familiar with the term "cougar". does it always apply when the women are older than the guys, or like really much much older women with super super young guys?

if it depends on the age of the guy, it's hard to say because women can still be "young" and be a cougar at the same time too...?

Great point. Cougars are women who have gone past their prime, peak or most fit, which I would say is 28 and over. There is a quality about an older woman though that separates her from the younger girls.

wow... i'm shocked a bit... where i live, a woman is considered a "girl" until about 35.

it's a standard practice that women have babies in their late 30s here, until then they party and date and enjoy the time of their youth. i guess it's a regional concept, but 28 is a bit shocking...!

In my experience? Not necessarily. I find that some older men are just too set in their ways (and I assume that goes with that generation - I'm talking about the men who are in their 40's now) to actually mature. They seem to often think in very black-and-white, physical ways which are in fact psychologically accredited to the train of thought of a young child (as in: unable to think abstract, unable to recognize nuances and the likes). Some still link maturity with age and cannot fathom that someone who is 28, or 26 (in my case) could be quite mature or even have a maturity level that reaches or even surpasses theirs. Those kind of men need to learn that letting go, especially of physical things and set rules, goes a long way towards becoming mature.

Of course, not all "older" men are that way.

In that light, I seem to find that quite a lot of "mature" men are in fact more immature than myself, and... In all fairness it has to be said, I'm not exactly very mature myself. I'm not really immature, but there certainly are quite a lot of people who are more mature than I am. But when you grow up learning that maturity comes with age and that a younger person can never be more mature than an adult or someone in their 40's, you do kind of expect men of that age to be more mature... And that's why I find myself often going for an "older" man rather than a "mature" man.

When you spend 4 years living with someone who is supposed to be 35 but acts like a bloody 15-year-old and spend most of your time mothering him because he can't deal with serious life issues himself and acts like a hormone-ridden teenager on the loose when he needs to take responsibility, it kind of opens your eyes when it comes to the concept of maturity. I've now learned that when it comes to that, age really doesn't, and never will, matter. It's the development of the mind that matters.

What I would call you? I don't know. I don't know you well enough to be certain. You could be very mature. The fact of course remains that you're 28 and you kind of look that age, so you will often attract those Cougars who are just out for a little midnight snack rather than a serious relationship. You look young to them, and when it comes to having one night stands what's inside doesn't really count anymore. They don't care if you are a very mature 28-year old

yeah, that is how it is in America. But like I said, Older women have a different sexuality quality about them that younger girls do not possess and it is very enticing.

"In that light, I seem to find that quite a lot of "mature" men are in fact more immature than myself".

That line really resonates. Women are a lot more mature and sophisticated than any older man.

I wasn't asking what you would call me, I just made a statement. I have learned though, that there is something different about me. I kind of have this "aura" or "presence" that seems to mock the maturity of any man my age, below or above, and if you talk to me and get to know me, you will find that I am unlike any other "man" that you have met. You could call it "weird" or "strange" but for whatever reason people are attracted to my "awkwardness", males and animals included and when I say animals, of course I am not being sexual. Animals are fond of me too.

I wouldn't be able to say... I'm not interested in women, much less mature women.

But what I can say is that in my experience with men, they do seem to emit some kind of sexual self-confidence which is in direct proportion with how much experience they have had. It is an aura that they have which is quite hard to fake - I can often tell by looking at a man and how he interacts with me, just how much experience he has had. I've not been wrong many times, although it has happened.

I innocently assumed that this would be the same with women.

So...at 34, I would be considered a cougar and/or over my fit prime, but not quite in my sexual prime?
That's funny, because I run 5k at least three times a week, and have vigorous and terrific sex just as much or more.

It's good that I am classified though! Good to know!

lechien... where do you live? I wanna move there! I'm in the US and that's how I kind of live my life here. When I tell people I"m not having kids until my late 30's (I'm 32 now) that there is something wrong with me! Then when I tell them I haven't been married yet... LOL Geesh!

Racole, move to a Western European city... France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, and UK are probably particularly good choices... i don't know much about Northern Europe, but they seem to be pretty liberal up there too.

Yep, I agree with lechien. Belgium is particularly liberal about that.

Depends on where you are, though! Small towns do tend to be a bit traditional, and my family does still ask me when exactly I'm going to settle down with a good man and buy myself a house and such... And I'm only 26!
