Awesome, RunAroundScreaming. Thanks for sharing with us newcomers. I so totally had an experience like NativelyJoan in Harlem this past weekend. I too grew up in a relatively bohemian city in California and developed the same relationship with pot. I figure it's due to my Moon in Gemini that I've had a lifelong problem with anxiety...IP: Logged |

I bumped it because I wanted to? I don't understand why there is such confusion about why I thought it was interesting.I have only been rude on one other thread, that I remember. And by the way, tone is hard to read online. I'm only rude when someone is rude to me. So my conscience is clear. I think it's rude to ask why I thought this was interesting and why I chose to bump it. Obviously just because I thought it was interesting. Lol I dunno?!? How am I supposed to explain that. And when have I ever been rude to someone because they "disagreed" with me. She wasn't even disagreeing with me, she was just asking a pointless question, apparently meant to annoy me. If she wasn't and I imagined it, then I don't know, I tried to let her know as best I could that I don't know how to answer it and I did tell her that "I never visit other forums. It's just that this one gets more views..." so that should've answered her question. So whatever. I wasn't even genuinely upset, because it's not a big deal. When did I even mock her? I even said sorry three times. If you want to think of me as bratty, then so be it. You can't please everyone. Personally, I think you're imagining that. You're not rude, RAS. This is ridiculous. Pot is illegal for all ages, anyway. It's not like drinking alcohol (although technically that topic should be reserved for an "age 21 & older" forum). Just like murder which is sometimes discussed in Astrology 2.0. That is like a rated R topic as well...but not all murder threads get moved here. IT IS ridiculous. Thank you! Children get educated about drugs in elementary school. Ever heard of the "Friends don't let friends do drugs" organization or w/e it's called lol. Thank god they do, though, so they know from an early age that it won't lead to anything good. This thread highlights that by specifically pointing out why smoking pot or replacing your life with any other sort of addiction to evade your problems will lead to emptiness in the end. <3I do agree it should be moved to the Sweet Peas forum, though, because of PixieJanes' post....
But I don't think anyone even read that or else they wouldnt be asking why I thought it was "interesting" So I think they've moved this over here simply because it talks about pot. *facepalm* ------------------

It's not about Astrology, so it wouldn't have stayed in Astrology 2.0 regardless; it's just a question of which Forum is best, and this one was a good choice. But there is also one in Teen Spirit.------------------

The girl wasn't trying to annoy to,it is obvious,she asked it politely. See that little red heart that marks the post?? That should tip you off the intentions. Reading online is hard?? Reading between the lines?? Even harder.
You know the the thread doesn't belong in the astro 2,you know the rules,you are a regular member. Why did you do it? All you had to do is bump it where it belongs,where people feel comfortable sharing. I guess we are lucky you hadn't shared it via tumblr,or similar site. A very good question,as it is... Sure,all the questions you don't get are pointless,de facto.

Hi RunAroundScreaming, I was in NYC this weekend with a Gemini friend who was recently admitted to Columbia. It was actually her birthday and she has a massive case of nerves just generally speaking (I mean it, hypothetical questions literally every five minutes). She asked me if I wanted to explore Spanish Harlem because I'm a photographer. We took the #6 subway to 110th Street, got off, and within five minutes, and met someone on the street who she knew who could supply us with the goods. After smoking, we spent the rest of the day in technicolor, wandering around Morningside Heights and eventually, Harlem proper.It was unbelievable, except for the part where my friend threw a tantrum over not "getting as high" as I did. She literally started crying and verbally harassing the person who gave us the stuff. After I talked her down from hysteria, we started to have a good time. I took some really good street shots that I can't wait to look over once I'm not so bogged down with work. As for astrological side of it, I pretty much make it a rule to only use pot occasionally for fear of indulging my Piscean escapism too much. I also have the South Node in Scorpio in the 12th House, and have been warned against escaping practical reality for altered states of mind... IP: Logged |
