This seems to be a question alot of guys ask , and girls ask alot of guys. And it seems like the same answers always turn up : confidence, humor,being true to self etc. but are these really true? My observations have lead me to believe otherwise, what do ya'll think?IP: Logged |

Yes those are a definite plus  I personally like guys that are more feminine than macho, and I don't mean physically, but personality wise. I just like a guy that can put his ego aside and isn't afraid to show affection :] IP: Logged |

yea i agree. but i dont think humor makes a guy attractive to a girl, if she's attracted its a plus. lol i make girls laugh Alot but im no ladies man.IP: Logged |

my honest opinion is that most people, both male and female put a priority on looks in the beginning, if your looks dont measure up to their standards ,you dont get a chance to show them how funny,smart,or nice you are, i think we are all guilty of this. IP: Logged |

I have liked all type of guys: shy guys, ugly guys, fat guys, as well as the player types. It was usually love at first sight. But, sometimes it was after a friendship developed first. I don't know what I like about a guy, and no one should really know either. Because love is something that just happens. You can't describe or explain why you love someone...it's just something you feel, and unconditionally at that. It doesn't depend on anything, because think about it, if it depended on their sense of humor, what happens on the days when they are not feeling very funny or like joking around at all...do you stop loving them then? Of course the answer is no.So  the answer is just...it's just something that happens that you can't control. You cant help who you like or who u fall in love with. The only guy i fell head over heels in love with, who i had double whammy venus pluto aspects with, upon meeting him my first thought was ... "Damn, he's ugly! ew!" Haha. And then after that i talked to him, and i noticed how sweetly he smiled, and i noticed how easy to get along with he was. And then suddenly i felt a spark when he did a playful gesture which i do all the time, and he did it exactly the way i do it, too. And that was that. His looks went right out the window, even though i was very aware that he was still ugly, he was somehow now the sexiest thing i had ever seen. lol not even joking. ------------------

Maybe move to England, I've seen even really homely men with lovely women there, because they place such a high premium on wit and humor in that culture. (Edit: NOT saying you are homely...just showing how extreme it can get.)I was just wondering what to say to you on the other thread, aquaguy. I am definitely one who has been very attracted to guys based on humor alone. In spite of off-putting looks. I don't want to bore y'all with examples...but the fact that I exist and have felt this way proves it can happen. It has to stay funny past the beginning of the relationship, though, and not go sour when "issues" start piling up. IP: Logged |

haha i'm not homely. just not exactly the type of looks girls of this generation go for. its funny because alot of older women tell me how handsome i am, and act shocked when i tell them most girls my age disagree.IP: Logged |

Yup! Teeth are VERY important. The dude may be attractive as hell, but if he smiles with rotten or very pointy teeth (vampire-like, I have been on a date with one) I'm gonna be running in the opposite direction with speed of sound. Height is also very important, though I went out with shorties too. So, IMO, if he's tall and has good teeth, half the battle is already won. ^_^ I have Mars-Saturn, I can be intolerant about some things re: my partner.  IP: Logged |
