Not only that, but to meet people who are good that I like, who like me, and the friendship works out. And, too, if I find something that looks good, I have to be able to do it time-wise, financially, practically, etc. So far, activities haven't produced friends for me--not lasting ones, not good ones, not non-toxic ones, anyway. Church hasn't, either.

My main wish with exercise is to look decent: not perfect, but OK: to look healthy. It's also a good release when I have a lot of nervous energy or anger.

i think you need to have a more positive attitude, most people are not out harm others, though they may harm others unintentionally at times, but we are all guilty of that. most people dont fall in the psycho category, but i have no clue where you live so it may be different there. the majority of people are not evil, are they stupid? yes? selfish? yes! but not evil.

RP, "getting ahead" is not necessarily the be all end all. try for awhile taking each day as it comes, and face some of your fears, you seem riddled with anxiety....i don't know your age or chart, but there are cycles to life, and no matter how "hard" a chart may be it progresses! sometimes it's all work and no fruit, other times things just pop into your life like magic!

do you meditate? i recently came across a hundred-year-old book that teaches meditation in the simplest way i ever came across. for the first week, you don't try ANYthing except sitting still in a chair, not rigid nor slumped, don't worry what you think about, but don't fidget or shift position, so get comfortable first~ for about 20-30 minutes but everyday and as close to the same time as possible.

i spent years letting my anxieties rule my life. it is worth everything you can invest in it to transcend them~ xox

@ Kat I don't regularly meditate, though I do try to pray. I have some meditation scripts, though, and it might be helpful for me to look at them. It is, admittedly, very hard to quiet my mind. So, thank you for reminding me of that.

Anxiety is a big part of why I worry about getting ahead. I feel a very strong need for stability and security in my life. I can't stand unpredictability, chaos, spontaeity (in a bad way/the bad kind). I know that I can't get rid of them, either, but I hate not having more control over things.
