<3 nope the old stuff is always better - I can't keep up with the changin' times so well. I realized that while listening to the radio the other day... and I turned on one of those music stations up here Much or something it's called -- I had no clue what/who was playing... but it was a perplexing realization for me.... I didn't know what to call that kind of sound, I didn't like the vocals, I couldn't -get- the music or hear any talent in it.... so I got really irritated and put the cartoons back on.... lmao sign you are getting old - (generational twists) hah

as for kpop and where kids are takin it today ---->

*don't like the dude up in the picture but~ the sentiments are there

I do get a tad weak for 8coughcough*acertainbigbangmember*coughcough* but ~ mostly it's the smoother sounds for me~ non of the techy-pop whatchamacallits~

the genre names are way too much - i'll just call it techypop from now on~ haha

like when they started calling that other junk emo----

and I was like - she wants revenge is a lot more like true old fashioned emo than that fodder~

anyway~

will I ever finish with these asteroids >.<;

BBL -duties to attend to~

Adding - my Korean comprehension is fine - but I lack study with Hangul~ my interpals/penfriends have helped me to learn over the net and phone~ I don't use Hangul too often they say its "not necessarily needed to communicate" or whatever~ haha
I can read and write but at like a 2nd grade level - D: lol but with auditory understanding/conversation --- at about an intermediate/advanced level~ (I got into Korean studies after learning Japanese for years and getting frustrated at the slow progress - I didn't give up but I found the transition easier for Korean~ I once told an older mentor that, to me Korean is the French of the East - it's the Asian language of love~ say anything and it will come out sexy... he laughed and agreed~ (he spoke fluent French/spent years in France~ understood exactly what I meant~ haha I wouldn't say it's my obsession..... but I do tend to like East Asian studies a little more since getting older than I do my original studies with Egyptology/Classical region histories/society. --- First thing I did in Canada -- truth be told - was find out what I'd need to get into uofT~ for EAS~ <.<
close to obsessive~ <3 close~
<--- weird one

-Looks to the right.....looks to the left.....I am not a Big Bang fan *looks out for the Big Bang Mafia LOL. My uni had a lot of Korean students so picking up Korean wasn't as difficult as Japanese. Japanese was the death of me...Yes Korean is like the french of the East, there is a definite difference between the way men and women have to speak, the only thing I dislike like is the new fascination with "gangnam style" and the Korean pet names fascination. I swear I hear one more girl use the word oppa I might just trip her or start cursing.....

lotta koreaboo I'm noticing now~

that gangnam song was on the radio up here several months before it made any impact ---- it was catchy and silly.... and then they utterly killed any novelty by overplaying it.... as per usual ---

hmmmm no bb~ >.> not a biggy~ *onlylikestheonekid*

Oh! What about the rap artists~? I think Drunken tigers pretty damn cool. He's got that east-west thing goin' on... and I don't often listen to rappers~ ever- haha

solo artists? --
I have a super huge -giant- girl crush on IU... shhhhh our secret~ =x she's angelic. (softspot for sweet voices) I like the singer Ivy too- ....but think she may be one of those auto-tune types --- she started with a great voice earlier on- but it's like they cover it up now to fit the "pop" sound instead of having her work more on her natural tone/range...

I don't think you'll have to worry about the bbmafia~ in LL~ --- gosh no - I'm anti-every-other-artist out there~ <.<

~~~~~~~~~~~~ I corrupted the thread again~ sorry @ aquaguy~ x_x
I wanna know what ya like tho~ ! post some links up in the music thread on Astro 2.0~!
BTW - I have 2 versions complete for the asteroid topic ~ --- I'll post the 1st version in a second. ^_^;
half hungover and still researching --- just in case~ I hope it makes some sense~ even though I was half inebriated last night while cutting down the list and putting points in the 2nd version for reference... lmao /ojoy
always a pleasure to know another global-art & histories fan <3
<--- seunghyun (TOP) --- /guiltypleasure
>.>; -he's so young - I feel TOTALLY guilty! (pervo)
Ok I lied I like TOP, the depth of his voice is......just too much for me. Drunken Tiger, Tiger JK & Yoon Mi Rae and Tablo are my favorite Korean rappers. I favor more of the older k-pop groups DBSK 5, H.O.T, SE7EN and BoA before she went auto-tunish...IU's music is too cute one of my friends is in love with her. He thinks if he goes over to Korea he'll find her and propose to her LOL. This is the same guy that stalked SNSD to their hotel...I think he has a fetish ROFL. Ok I'll post some links in the music thread. No rush with the asteroids info take your time I'm still piecing together mine.
Well my point was, if these are your real feelings about women, then how can it be true that you have "neutral" expectations when you meet them? We're supposed to believe that?
Most of us here are women. What is your point again, that you don't get along with women??
Some people here have said that they get along better with women online. Apparently, you are one of them. If that's the case, why not use that to your advantage and get a relationship started online first?
What came first, the chicken or the egg? Do you provoke women by making annoying generalizations, and put them on the defensive?
You just said women are highly emotional creatures who get caught up in our own drama and won't listen to anyone else.
That's annoying.
How would you like it if I said men are highly emotional creatures who get caught up in their own dramas and won't listen to anyone else?
How's that sit with you?
People are actually trying to help you by getting you to understand that you are responsible for the problem; therefore you can fix it.
If you are determined to have a victim mentality, and make women your constant abusers, you will always meet with resistance, because it's not a credible storyline.
If you attract bad treatment, it's more likely because of the universal principle at work, that dictates you reap what you sow.
And seeing how poor your attitude is towards women...it looks to me like the root of the problem is not that we don't like you, it's that YOU don't like US.
What exactly are you looking for?
People who will confirm your fatalistic theories and outdated stereotypes?
I don't mean to sound harsh, this is an honest question...what's the "right" answer you are looking for?
"Yes, it's true you are just unlucky, get used to it buddy, it's gonna be a long, sucky life for you because half the human race is out to get you."
Does that make you feel better?
My best friend who I mentioned earlier, who strongly prefers male company, is:
Pisces sun
Aquarius moon
Pisces Mercury
Aries Venus
...I forget her Mars
Scorpio Uranus
So maybe there's a connection there.
faith,
first of all i'd just like to facepalm because you completely missed the point. i dont expect anything, i dont care if anyone agrees with me, i could care less. but understand that cliche advice and a condescending attitude is not helping me( this goes out to lots of people on here, not just you). i would appreciate helpful advice, telling me i have a sh*tty attitude and i need to get over it is not helpful, thats not helping me at all and further more its completely lacking in compassion. also i get tired of people on here making assumptions about me that arent true, mainly that i have just have a bad attitude or i'm an angry misognyist. yes i get on here and share my experiences and vent , but that does not mean i have a negative attitude all the time, heck lots of times i come on here and im in a good mood and joking around , yall fail to recognize that. also i'd like to ask a simple question, how is stating your experiences negative? because like it or not i have had mostly
bad experiences with women, would you
prefer for me to lie and pretend my life
has been peachy? if somebody came up
to you and said they have had lots of car
accidents would you call them negative?
no! because they are stating their
experiences , like it or not thats their
reality. believe it or not i'm kind to
women in real life and give them the
benefit of the doubt, i try to have a
positive attitude and the bad experiences
continue .... just last week i tried to be
friendly to a new girl at work, i was in a
good mood and had a positive attitude
when i approached her, guess what
happened? she completely f*cking
ignored me! i was just trying to make her
feel welcome and i get treated.like a
nobody!!! again i had a positive attitude and was just trying to be polite, so we can we atleast agree that she was being a stuck up b word to me? am i wrong for being put off by her behavior? because thats exactly how 90% of women treat me, like i'm a nobody
.. can you see why i might lack confidence now? can you why i get angry sometimes? prolly not lol but thats ok
perhaps , but i really dont know. i communicate with them like other guys as far as i have seen lol. this whole thing is really weird, i know other people who have similar experiences. i have known girls who cant make friends with other girls and guys who get bullied unmercifully by other guys, i've always wondered why that is? i worked with one girl in particular who was sweet and pretty and tried to make friends with the other girls but they wouldnt give her the time of day, i witnessed it myself. so she mostly hung out with guys.
If you're constantly having to swerve cars then you're probably driving in the wrong lane.
AG, women are generally more aware of what people are feeling than men are, so your attitude may be much more obvious than you think it is, no matter how "neutral" you try to be. And if they're picking up that deep down you're expecting the worse then they'll be inclined to push you away. Also, Faith made some suggestions like trying to meet women online.
well i'll agree with that, and thats why i dont talk to women when i'm angry, i become avoidant if anything. one time i drove my friend to pick up a girl he was friends with so she could hang out with us. i was in "angry at women mode" that day and didnt even acknowledge her existence, she later admitted to me when we started getting along that she thought i hated her at first. well it turned out that i had reason to hate that girl after all lol, because she ended up using me to make my friend jealous. i have tried online dating with some success, the only catch is i cant find a girl in my state lol.
^ And she's probably out there saying, "Yeah I once met this guy who treated me like sh*t for no reason, the first time I met him. He made me feel really bad!
But that's okay, I got even with him later."
