I just watched a few episodes of My Strange Addiction on YouTube, where they showcase the lives of adults who choose to live like babies: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9ST2NgjfYU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgQfAylIf_A I'm a little freaked out by this...trying to cope. Apparently there is a whole movement going on where adults act like babies. They buy baby gear, wear diapers, sleep in cribs, hire mommies. Please don't tell me you're already familiar with this because it's common and your family members are doing it or whatever...I have to ease my way into understanding these things. It's like every time I want to think of myself as an open, accepting person, something new comes out to shock me. Three hundred pound men in their thirties going to the tailor to get onesies made, talking about their favorite binkies, that just doesn't sit well with me. I KNOW it's their own life, they are entitled to it...but... but... HELP! What kind of world is this? IP: Logged |

Yes I saw this on another show were this woman was dating a man who wanted her to mother him. That was disturbing and made me think he had some serious abandonment issues. IP: Logged |

I know someone like this on another site, but he's an admitted troll (no more, according to him, but he trolled a site for years). I don't get it either. He's talked about wearing diapers, but that's as far as he's gone with what he shares. I don't know if he's serious, or full of it. IP: Logged |

Sorry but ewwww how can you date a guy AND mother him? Nevermind, I don't want answers from the peanut gallery here LOL It's weird, I was just thinking about how Elvis also had his girlfriends play the mommy for him. (That's one thing I really can't stomach about Elvis... I mean, all dignity flies out the window at that point.) But at least Elvis didn't wear diapers and rave about how good it felt to pee in them and feel the "comforting warmth" of a wet diaper. At what point do I draw the line in the sand and say, "This is too creepy for me!" I want to be nice, but some people, it's like they TRY to make it difficult. IP: Logged |

Elvis also played daddy to his girlfriends, he'd transform them and re-teach them how to look, dress and act the way he wanted. IP: Logged |

^ Good point. People around him said that he could be mesmerizing. And he did get all those gorgeous women baby talking. But it all seems pathological to me. (Not trying to be depressing, I just don't see how there could ever be an "up' side to the trend.) IP: Logged |

I don't see a upside of that sort of trend either but I have seen women use baby talk when dealing with their significant other which makes my mind slide down into pedoland.IP: Logged |

"pedoland" And yeah I agree. Baby talk in public is TMI. Edit: Not that I'm a fan of private baby talk either. IP: Logged |

I was known never to poo in my own diapers when I was a kid. I must have found the squishy stuff sticking to my butt while going on with my life gross! IP: Logged |

Thank GOD for people like you! I think I was the same way, I remember being fed up with the whole shebang and wanting to get on with life. I'm a Cap, proud to be born an adult.

Always find the comments interesting, it looks like 3 to 1 people are disturbed.I think, my .02, is that whomever is catering to this with him is not doing him any favors at all. IP: Logged |

yes pedoland where "Lolita" is screened 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I'd prefer babytalk in public over the choice of seeing a 300 pound man wearing a diaper with a rattle being pushed in a adult sized stroller in public. The nightmares! Don't imagine!. I'm not a fan of baby talk or the use of the word "daddy" .ugh. IP: Logged |

The thing I don't understand about this guy is the lack of introspection. It baffles me how he can live life in that manner, and not wake up in his onesy, and the crib etc, and not have a "uhm..what am I doing"? IP: Logged |

Lots of crazy people in the world. It seems one of the more harmless insanities. I feel neutral about it. If someone I was close to came out this way I'd just try to see the funny side of it and go with the flow. Perhaps my years of playing role playing games (including LARP, that is Live Action) and being around cosplayers help me accept the puzzling idea. But one thing I'm curious about...how do these people support themselves as adults? I saw over half of one and a few minutes of the other (flipping through it, watching a couple minutes here and there) and couldn't find it. They're obviously not living as babies in the truest sense if they're supporting themselves...and I'd have liked to hear them explain that. More in a moment. IP: Logged |
