They kinda work the hardass thing.
Thanks, thing is I'm really easy going on other people, very very hard on myself. Not to the point of mentally beating up myself constantly, do expect a lot of myself and when something is not working, I correct it. One summer tried to learn 3 languages simultaneously, mixed results, but that is the sort of stuff I do constantly IP: Logged |

Libra women are too delicate for me, it's hard to even be close friends with them, they make good social contacts on a business/professional level. Libra guys make a nice friends to party with, but I'm not really attracted to them.. again good social contacts, my one libra friend updates me on parties etc which is nice. IP: Logged |

Not really. My life experiences have not exactly been conducive to self confidence or warm fuzzy feelings. I'm hard on myself and others are hard on me. I just try to keep on keeping on. IP: Logged |

Padre, i really liked reading the sage advice intertwined with the sports analogies meant to pick a brain and turn it's wheels..... That was slick and enlightening on both your parts. Can definitely see aquaguy's mindset and gain a better understanding here now. IP: Logged |

No surprise, as I've said, AG WAS me at his age in many ways. Only I had coping mechanisms that were largely internally directed and the rest of my chart is more conducive to making friends and socializing more easily. The Saggie life of the party aspect for example, don't think AG is wired that way. IP: Logged |

I hope I'm not an unwelcome guest here. I know I can be... well you know. Anyway.... I wanted to ask, if I may.
AG, what all do you have in Aquarius? You also have planets in 12th house don't you? I try not to judge signs as best I can. Simply because everyone is different. We all have a different chart, etc. You know? Yet, I can see people's points with the unmistakable similarities. I've come across it myself. I was once engaged to a Libra. (cap moon)That was 2008. We've remained friends and two months ago she tried to get back together basically. But... everything was pretty much the same as before and honestly, I've never given anyone a second chance. I just don't do it. At least not for that. We're still friends though. Another Libra. We were deeply in love. It was pathetic. It didn't work out either. For me, it wasn't indecisivness. It was like having a relationship with Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Like two personalities. MOST of the time they were all the qualities that I love about Libras. Sometimes though... whew... the b**ch in them just got let off the chain or something. So, I don't really trust Libras fully for that reason. I always wonder where that evil little personality is hiding. I wouldn't let it keep me from a relationship. To me anyway, that'd be silly. I'm much more wary of them now though. It's not all sparkles and glitter like it first appears. IP: Logged |

You are not kidding there Deep Freeze, one of the issues I had to deal with is both fiance's wound up cheating on meI don't say that w/bitterness, rather they were eye opening moment(s) in life as to how the romantic world can work sometimes. Won't say I'm "cautious" more one had better be 100% certain about things before making a serious commitment. Otherwise just enjoy the fun, I get along with Libras so well b/c..well..I enjoy screwing with them to see how far I can push things. Do some stuff and watch that Libran balance go right out the window... IP: Logged |

Oh geez, for a second I thought this was going to turn into a topic about how Libran girls are more attractive than other signs lol. quote: Originally posted by aquaguy91: I have tried with older women with the same results. Not to be cynical but the older women who are open to dating younger guys tend to date the same guys women my own age want to date. What ends up happening (Atleast from what I have seen) is the younger guys who get with older women use them as booty calls while also seeing younger women on the side.
Well, just like all women aren't the same(older, younger, whatever), I tend to think that the people we attract are a reflection of what state we are in. I used to attract dudes that were instantly trying to show me pictures of their private areas and be perverted towards me. I used to believe I had to accept these types of people because that will be the only attention someone like me will ever receive. "someone like me" I stopped letting off that desperate vibe that I would accept any person's ******** the could throw at me, and that I should bite because that's what they feel like giving out. Why should I accept their garbage? Ugh, just venting now. IP: Logged |

Hmm, would not encourage the martial art study, usually they can be a waste of time tbh. Do you work out frequently, like 3-5 times a week? IP: Logged |

Oh My grandmother is a libra, I love her as my nani but my my mom and her siblings had to suffer from with the whole keeping up with the joneses deal. Libran social decorum 24/7 not being able to express yourself around guests etc. This kind damaged my moms Gemini energy because gemini loves to express their thoughts no matter how outrageous they are. My poor aqua grandfather with Mercury and Venus conjunct Uranus in aries LOL. Quite different those too but apparently madly in love. IP: Logged |

I don't know about that because my friend has been doing it and it has helped him out a lot. I try to but I don't always get to do it.

I 2nd the gym idea. Lots of cardio and do it often. 4-6 times a week. Maybe only 20-30 minutes but very consistent as far as doing it daily. It truly does improve your mood a ton! It's awesome. I originally did it for the body, naturally. As time went on though I was quite surprised about the mental improvement. I also did the martial arts thing. Eh... try it. One of the bigger benefits that I found with that was actually feeling a part of something - a part of a group. Like a little family. That was my personal favorite part of it.

True, imo one of the things that most everyone can benefit from is introspection as to what they want in a partner. What is acceptable and what is unacceptable behaviors. An Actress, a Gemini, was coming onto me really strongly, attractive woman, it was just to much, TO sexual all of the time. Had to say thanks but no thanks as politely as I could manage..grabbing my ass and offering a trip to the bathroom with her was not exactly my cup o' tea IP: Logged |

I don't know about that because my friend has been doing it and it has helped him out a lot. I try to but I don't always get to do it. [/B][/QUOTE]Well, here is the thing, when one improves your physical form, self confidence grows and it releases endorphins that calm the body and mind down. A martial art is usually centered around learning techniques and advancing through a belt system to create a sense of achievement, after all you have a belt and a piece of paper. It does not however, build confident self image internally, that system is externally driven. Like pouring water on a rock, it eventually dries and the rock is left in the same condition prior to the water being poured on it I work out at home, with simple equipment, push up bars and some dumb bells (15/25/30/60 lb ones) if watching TV or playing language lessons or philosophy I knock out sets. Those pushup bars are no joke IP: Logged |

I'm a sun Gemini with a lot of earth energy lol. With my Cap rising and Mars, grabbing someone's ass for a quick go in a bathroom is not the way I run things. IP: Logged |

Well tbh working out has never made me feel happier or more confident . Yes , it makes me feel better physically but I have never noticed it affecting my mental state. Honestly the only thing that ever helped my mental state was meditation but I have only been able to reach the meditative state twice but wow I felt amazing when I did.IP: Logged |
