Which is amazing considering that I have Mars in Gemini in the 3rd and can really become acid tongued if someone pushes me.

Seriously. My mom is a Scorpio Asc who does not always use her energy in a positive way, so I learned from an expert how to cut people down verbally. I don't like to do that, though.

Now, when she repeats the same stories over and over again about how someone slighted her in some minute fashion, I listen for a minute, say "uh huh, uh huh..." and then curtly say "You've told me that before".

She still gets defensive and will make some sort of personal dig at me, but at least it curbs the repetitious stories of how so-and-so slighted her this one time, ten years ago.

All i can say about primates is the one thing i've seen on the internet that i truly do regret is the picture of the woman whose "pet" chimp literally ripped off her nose, ears, and one eye lid, it was truly horrific

I see primates as far far more dangerous then animals most ppl think of dangerous

I've seen black bears run away from ppl, primates do not run, they establish dominance or are dominated..no thank you

Ehh...I can be snarky and sarcastic, but I try not to be outright "mean" (not as mean as I'm occasionally inclined to be, at any rate).

I have to count myself in that category, because I've noticed it in other people (mostly on Facebook, or in real life...I give a pretty wide berth here at LL). And then I kind of noticed the same thing about myself.

It's like we're all TRYING to be as spiritual as we CAN be (some of us, anyway), but we're not perfect, so a lot of the time we f*ck it up. Or we're just in a process of talking the talk, and trying our best to walk it (so to speak).

I do really dislike it when people preach a Pollyanna attitude about life, but you can tell that there's a lot of bitterness and anger underneath it all.
<Eta> I'm not saying that all people who are optimistic are full of it, but some people do seem to be repressing a lot when they try to be all upbeat all the time. I find that particularly grating.

That just seems fake to me, honestly.
I'm not so spiritually minded that I don't occasionally bust out with some serious words for people. I'm not perfect, and it's not gonna happen in this lifetime.

But that's just me.
Some people really are exceptionally tuned in spiritually and emotionally, but I find that the people who purport to be that the most are the ones who are trying, but not quite there yet.

Meh. Just my two cents, anyway.

there is a true saying:

And on occasion, there are those who are not marching to the beat of your drum.

Happiness is happiness, sadness is sadness

The truism is there are some who feel neither

Monkeys are so funny. After placing their feces on someone's arm, they look up with their lips curled baring their sharpened eye teeth and their monkey eyes gauge you for your reaction to what they just did.
They probably get a profound sense of glee when someone yells, "ew that monkey just put sh*t on my arm oh my God!" but I don't know for certain.

I really really don't like chimpanzees and I'm an animal lover.

Not that I'd wish any hard upon one... I just don't like them. I don't think they are cute or charming or very interesting. They are pretty annoying, really.

I like gorillas And I like tiny primates with tails.

Deep thoughts this morning from me, I know.

As a human I have evolved to realize that in order to flourish you must know what to say and how to act because I'm not going to go into the wilderness and gather my own resources.. It's all about networking and having people like me and give me opportunities in order to gain more than enough resources.
It's funny some people have to do other favors even sexual favors to get ahead but I just have to be myself lol.

There are many people who don't admit to this because it seems uncool but I know that I am unique enough to admit to this and still be more interesting than most people.

So while you're purposely rejecting society behaving like a caveman probably dragging women by their pony tails into your cave and rubbing your feces on them to mark your territory ... I'll be living in society, flourishing.

Did you know that gorillas can learn sign language, so essentially can talk
