Maybe we could get "sweet-scorpion" in here so that they can share something positive. Even "bad" things make us grow, push us up, if we allow them. IP: Logged |

First off, thank you for sharing your story, Barbie. You are an amazing person, I can tell. I can sense your tenacity, wit, strength and courage. You are inspiring. Now, onto my stories: My most difficult time in life was about 2 1/2 years ago. I was miserable, in need of surgery to correct a serious health problem, and in over my head with school. I had major depression and mood swings. I refused to take medication. I would drink and succumb to EDNOS tendencies in order to cope. I felt hopeless, like a lost cause that never could be fixed. What if my surgery went wrong? (It was a breast reduction.) What if I had a serious health complication? What if I looked not the way I wanted to? My happiest moment was getting home from my surgery, and realizing I did have the inner strength to conquer what threatened to destroy me. I felt terrible about my appearance and the BR issue haunted me on a daily basis. I got home feeling like hell but happy because I knew I could survive. I had tremendous inner strength. My life has been hard - very hard. I have wanted to commit suicide for years. But I always keep pulling through, and the operation proved to me how brave I am, how I was meant to be a warrior. I was always meant to conquer. The spirit of the warrior lives inside of me. Kind of a bittersweet story, but it makes me glad to write it and share because I think finding inner strength is important. I'm kind of lost to my own philosophy ATM due to difficult life transitions but I'm working on it. IP: Logged |

Ahh, that's why I felt close with you! I'm a Libra Sun. I have a Virgo Moon and Sagittarius rising. In general, I get along with other Libra-influenced people really well. Thank you for helping me! IP: Logged |

Yay!!! More to add to the Libra crew. It's back and forth with Libras, some I get along with and some I don't. But all in all I love Libras, love the energy and selflessness we have, even if people don't like to credit us with it. We do care, are passionate and able to dive deeply into things!! You're so welcome. Thank you for helping me too, made me realize how far I've come and how proud I am of myself. Just how much I care for people. IP: Logged |

Is that what Ceres is? So if it is on your Moon with Vesta... And those two just hit the Node and Mars on my Vertex, too. Interesting. IP: Logged |

Libra crew...I Love that. I am glad we had the chance to connect here. I feel you on getting along great with some Libras and lukewarm with others, haha. Also, you're welcome. I'm really glad I inspired those positive feelings in you. Makes me feel good about myself! IP: Logged |

I guess i'm feeling a little sentimental tonight so I'm going to share the best time in my life. It just so happened that it directly followed the roughest part of my life... That summer I got my first set of wheels, which mean't freedom to me. It was just an old dodge truck but I felt like I had just hit the lottery when I climbed behind the wheel of that thing. I remember just running the roads that whole summer with the windows down and music blaring. At that point in time It was just amazing to me to get up and go whenever I wanted. I would just drive into the mountains sometimes in the middle of the night, pull off on the side of the road, and just lay in the bed and look at the stars and the town below, at that point I thought life didn't get much better then that.... But shortly thereafter I found out that I was wrong. I met the love of my life (up to this point) and It was instant electricity. We were together or in contact 24/7 and it never got old to me. We could talk on the phone for hours and hours and would never run out of things to talk about. The whole time I was with her I grinned like a possum and couldn't stop. I remember overhearing someone talk about us and they joked "they think they are in love" and the other person remarked "teenagers can't be in love" and I just laughed at them because they were obviously idiots who didn't know what they are talking about because what I was feeling at that moment was beyond love. I had never felt that way towards a girl and might not ever experience it again. But things didn't work out and I went into a depression for about a year. For awhile I harbored negative feelings for her but now I remember our times together fondly. I still think about her alot, especially in October, and when I hear our song I can't help but smile. Thanks. Looking at it all in retrospective its kind of funny. We had a heavy 8th house and neptune theme going on in our synastry and that song kind of reflects the connection we had in my opinion. It felt very fated to say the least. IP: Logged |

No, but that's okay. I have one in Know Two, but I stopped updating. I've been away from the forum, and wanting to stay away; I flipped out either Sunday or Monday - I don't even remember - over things, and just wanted to make a clean break. I didn't need any extra stress from here, you know? (Not to start that talk here - I don't mean to, just explaining.) It just seems to be constant, and I don't feel comfortable posting about it in threads anymore. I've been a train wreck for too long, and although you guys may not see it that way, I tend to forget how many people might be lurking. I'm just more quiet in general, like I used to be. And scared. I don't like the idea that I'm weak, but I'm really feeling right now: not seeing too many bright spots. I was only able to do that when it seemed like everything would be okay. I seem to need to live in the land of magical thinking, in order to feel more positive. I most likely have to put down my smallest dog, next week. She still has an appetite, still drinks water, but she weakened so much in days... even though she would be sixteen next January, I feel like bad luck for the animals. Yet another one, I'm losing. Another site I used is closing down, too - a goal-setting forum. That was "home" for a while, years ago, and more recently. It's just like a whole chunk of my life is over, and there's more waiting to happen (that won't be good). I don't know how to just accept things - I needed some stupid, idealistic "hail mary" hope earlier, in order to get out of bed, cried in Walmart, then the bookstore, when I was looking through a book on loss and grieving (The Geography of Loss). I keep lightening up, and then something else happens - I can't keep with the up and down. This is a sweet thread. Love to everyone. IP: Logged |

This is the book that I was referring to: http://www.amazon.com/The-Geography-Loss-Embrace-Honor/dp/0762778946 "If I was in the midst of a terrible loss, I would want to spend time with Patti Digh. She has a powerful way of acknowledging the dark while pointing to the light. A warm friend and a wise guide, this book will help you open to a new reality, find balance in your grief, and move forward into a new day." --Susan Piver, author of The Wisdom of a Broken Heart "This book offers companionship on a difficult journey that most take alone because it is hard to bear, let alone convey, the truth of loss. Digh gently navigates these ways with beauty, tenderness and candor." --Mary Anne Radmacher, author of Lean Forward Into Your Life IP: Logged |
