Yes, Ami. That's true. I know quite a few older people who were lost at my age, too. And plenty more around me of the same age in the same situation. It's part of life, I guess (for some of us).
Still sucks. There's a feeling of futility and uneasiness that's hard to shake.

Thanks, BF. No, I haven't been tested for anything... I don't trust doctors anymore, I don't think it's the way to go for me. I've never been cured of anything using mainstream medical means (except for the flu or things like that, but not when it comes to more severe things). It always either remains the same or gets worse.
I am pretty sure I have some strong food intolerances going on in addition to the Helicobacter pylori bacteria (that is supposed to be gone now, since I took medication for it...). Honestly at this point I'm not sure it'll ever get better; most of the things I eat make me sick - I get head aches, nausea and abdominal pain almost every day. Joy. Currently I'm trying not to eat ANY processed food but it's really hard! I have a sweet tooth naturally and can't help but eat some cookies or things like that and it just makes things worse. I've never been so chronically sick in my whole life... I feel like I have the body of a 60-year-old or something, that's so messed up.

And I'm not good at taking care of myself, I don't have a natural ability to just do the right/healthy thing, on the contrary - I'll just keep doing the same harmful stuff over and over again until I'm basically literally dying (or feel like I'm dying). Yeah, talk about stupidity.

I guess tSaturn in the 6H is teaching me lessons now (I mean, desperately trying to teach me some lessons). "Time to learn how to take care of yourself, woman. Or else, you will continue to suffer from excruciating pain for EVAH!" hooray.

---

Padre,

I'm not anti-religion, so no worries.
Not sure about what I was attracted to when I was younger (I'm not that old now anyway).
I don't feel like I'm in a place where I can see myself or my life direction clearly, partly (or especially) because of some dysfunctional beliefs and habits I have going on (mainly avoidance coping).
So it's quite a riddle.

I am the same way about the doctors, Doux . I am led to the right people to help me such as people who are into natural health.

Based on the given description/symptoms - the cause of your abdominal pain - could be related to "stress".

If it was food related - you'd either get continually worse (if your body can't deal with it) or better (even without the help of medicine - the human body is equipped with all kind of self-repair mechanisms - which in most cases "are quite efficient").

Here's a random link with some info: http://www.earlydoc.com/en/diseases/abdominal_pain_caused_by_stress

What are symptoms of abdominal pain caused by stress:

- Nagging, vague abdominal pain
- Nausea
- Bloated feeling
- Irregular consistency of stool
- Flatulence

What can I do about abdominal pain caused by stress myself

- Find the cause of the stress
- Keep a diary documenting the abdominal pain
- Try to relieve tensions at work or in your private life
- Talk to friends about high pressure, stress or tension you're experiencing
- Relaxation exercises

How does abdominal pain caused by stress affect my body

With abdominal pain caused by stress the body translates emotional or mental stress to physical symptoms. This happens in a lot more situations for example burn-out and stage fright , but it can also happen with positive emotions think of the knot in your stomach when you're in love or goosebumps you get when hearing beautiful music.

Because abdominal pain caused by stress doesn't have a physical cause, it usually can't be treated with medication. When there's a long period of stress, that doesn't go away doing relaxation exercises, talking to friends or discussing tensions with the people causing them, it can be good to talk to a psychologist. A doctor can refer you to an appropriate psychologist.

Or you can Google "stress/anxiety and abdominal pain" and you can find all kind of similar links with more detailed info on this subject. For example, this one: http://www.webmd.com/parenting/features/anxiety-stress-and-stomachaches

And if you mix stress type of abdominal pain with alcohol or chemical juices - especially sodas (Fanta, Cola, Sprite and so on... basically - any juice that's not made of natural ingredients: squeezed fruits) - that could get worst on a physical level, as in: Stomach Ulcer (or other similar conditions). Even Stress alone (if you keep at it) - is enough to cause a Stomach Ulcer (or other similar conditions). If you already reach that point, it's easy to notice - as in: almost any type of food (especially the spicy kind) - leads to stomach pain. No worries - though, it's even a recommendation (not to worry - cause more stress only makes things worst), since - it's treatable. There are even some traditional solutions to deal with it - but their deficiency is dependent on your condition - and your type of body (for some - x solution works better, for others y solution - or n,p... you get the picture). Or you could try the doctor another time (a different doctor maybe) - and he should suspect - what it's about, cause this type of issue - it's quite basic - and same goes for the treatment.

hmm, I'll be honest Mon cher, cannot relate

What I mean by that is for reasons of Grace even at my advancing age, time washes over me so the "typical" health problems for me are like a foreign country

This comes from a well spring of life and abundance that is very difficult to explain

I understand that.

It's the Higher Self.

Shalom means not only Peace, but Wholeness.

To a point EllyX, I admittedly have extremely abused my body doing things society simply cannot deal with

Bike commute to college at 40 something is like building space shuttles out of beer cans

Learn a new language to pass the time?

Unheard of!

Point being to Doux Reve, what attracts is interest in someone else, the key being it allows the person to step outside themselves and almost walk in a different world

Yep Ami, I think so too.
---

7th,

I don't think it's only stress-related. But thanks for taking the time to comment, buddy.

---

Padre,

I don't always understand what you mean, but I guess I agree with your last comment.

This thread has digressed immensely.

Oh well, not that anyone's really concerned about it.

No worries! If you were shallow, you wouldn't be concerned about being so.
