I was thinking about the asteroids Lust, Eros and Aphrodite in synastry?
How would they differ from each other?

Especially Lust and Eros?

Since you brought that up, DD, can you tell me a quick list of asteroids to check in a synastry to tell if what you feel for a person is mainly lust? If you know the numbers that would be great.
I'm not very patient when scrolling through that enormous list.

Well, my two cents DD. I read that lust is not associated with love.

Eros is special because it sexual attraction aroused by love.

Aphrodite is about sex, love, and beauty mixed together. But she isn't the most faithful... She wants her sexual needs met.

8th

Anteros conjunct venus..

Not sure how to explain how it effects me, but lets just say I have lots of secrets :O

Ha ha, Seelah! But the 4th H doesn't seem like the best placing for those asteroids. If I use whole signs though, they would be in my 5th H, plus my natal Mars, which might explain my fiery approach? Or is could mean I only feel comfortable at home, and then Eros/lust come out?

I was just reading that Lust could be a lust for life which includes sexuality but more of just a "Gusto"
I don't know if that is true. My guy has it conjunct Mercury.

Hmmm, 4th house and the soul. You know I think that the water houses in general get a bad rep. You know Ami, being a 8th H Sun like me! But uh, a lustful soul, that cracks me up! The 4th H. seems to mean different things at differenct times, it represents the home life than the last days of life aka elderly life. But what about in between? Are they considered exempt from the 4th H? And what is my deal with always attracting Cancerian energies? First it was Cancer Mars than Cancer Asc. now Cancer Moon!

Actually it`s not that complicated about the 4th house.

As the lowest point in your chart (on the invisible side of the earth, representing midnight actually) it also represents your deepest core, your soul. Your naked (and most vulnerable) essence.

From there it is only a little step to arrive at the conclusion that it represents to home; as home is being thought to be the place where you can be yourself (of course we all know that not all "homes" will allow that). But as a toddler you couldn´t do anything else but expressing your instinctive needs and your "naked soul". That is the 4th house.
And at the end of your life you return to that "nakedness", as the upcoming moment of death is approaching and this awareness of your mortality will bring you very close to who you really are. Your most primal fears and emotions.
the 8th house is also about these primal experiences, but in regard to other people, how you relate to them, how your own emotional needs merge with theirs.
In the 4th house you are basically "alone" with your emotional core. But if you let someone in there, there can be a feeling of total merging on a soullevel.
Or you might dislike the other person, as they get "under your skin" and you might not want them there.

LUST represents the feeling a straight guy will get from seeing Jenna Jameson pole dance

APHRODITE represents the "head turning" feeling a straight guy will get from seeing
Marissa Miller on the ramp.

EROS represents the feeling a straight guy has for his childhood sweetheart who he is seeing after a few years, now looking ravishing after graduation and a job, and is giving a subtle hint ["I have all your love letters" type hints] every day to him to make him propose.
