I have Sado 1'17 Aquarius and my Sun is 2'54 Aquarius. I would really like to know what this means also as it's on my Sun although my Sun sign is not that strong in my chart.

Sado was recently explored here.. http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/000126.html

Mine is at 21 Taurus in my 12th, which squares my Mercury (24 Aqua) and Sun (19 Aqua).

*Shrug* Never really identified with Sadism.

My Sado is cj. my SUN, Genius, Sappho, Guinevere, Wisdom and Mercury/Vertex. (orbs 0-1). In 8th house.

The only slightly "sadistic" trait that I clearly recognize with me is ... sometimes feeling a need to confront people with reality, which can be harsh sometimes. I feel some itching in "telling it as it is", from time to time - even if I know that it does hurt people.... (And of course I know: This is always the subjective "truth" as I perceive it ... not neccessarily "objective" in all cases.)

So ... Sado linked with my Mercury/Vertex and "Wisdom" ... I see that in my need to TALK about unpleasant things and confront people with that - even if it makes them uncomfortable. And sometimes ... I wanna sort of "test" their (intellectual) strength by doing so.

Nasty?
Well.
Maybe.

P.S.: Oh - and I like strong, "dominant" partners for ... eh ... intimacy

118230 Sado (0 Tau 54'17")
- Conjuncts
-- 228029 MANIAC (0 Tau 20'32")
-- 21454 Chernoby (1 Tau 3'27")
-- 2606 Odessa (1 Tau 15'3" Rx)
-- 19521 Chaos (1 Tau 50'0" Rx)
- Trines
-- Sun (0 Vir 15'31")
-- 55555 DNA (0 Vir 28'6")
- Squares
-- 3915 Fukushima (0 Leo 31'25")
-- 4341 Poseidon (28 Cap 48'21" Rx)
-- 203 Pompeja (29 Cap 37'33" Rx)

I do have a bit of a fascination (some would say unhealthily so) with disasters... particularly nuclear or explosive. Other times it's darker humor, although more along the lines of watching George Carlin's routines and other comics.

There is also the fascination of finding out more behind certain elements of history, like the whole Odessa thing after WWII, the rise of Nazi Germany (and what mentality would allow that), and, on a more morbid note, trying to understand what led R. Budd Dwyer (treasurer of Pennsylvania who took his own life in front of rolling TV cameras in the 1980's) to chose the fate he did. (The film "Honest Man" I think more than adequately answered this for me, plus my personal belief was that he was innocent.)

Can't say I'm proud of this, but I have sought out... um... darker stuff on the net in the past years ago in an effort to desensitize myself. In retrospect, it was not a good strategy, especially as I exposed myself to some really nasty stuff and I didn't desensitize anyways. I don't recommend it. At all.

I could have misunderstood the concept of "sadistic" though. More like morbid curiosity.

Thats very interesting....i guess i do have kind of a dark side, huge desire to drag whats dark into the light and not care how anyone reacts because i just want to destroy it and begin to rebuild....but it does get a bit extreme at times...i hate how intense i get!!

That sounds more like an eighth house thing. Any planets there? I have four planets in the eighth and I used to do that. Just dare myself to watch things, and kinda test my limits and see how much I could "take in". Pushing/testing personal limits, although I suppose that could be interpreted by some as 'masochistic'.

Years ago I watched an autopsy (a real one) on YouTube while eating a bowl of canned lasagna... checked out the BME Pain Olympics...

But in recent years I think I've gone "soft", because I can't even handle the types of stuff I used to be able to watch...and a lot of the stuff that's really on the far end of that, stuff like footage of people being shot and things like that that are available online, I avoid like the plague.

Hmm, I have it on 1.22 Leo in 8th house (conjunct LOGOS) and exactly square Uranus on 1.21 scorpio on the cusp of 11th house.

Also trines AMOR on 2 Sagittarius in 12th house.

I find the uranus-square interesting. uranus rules my 3rd house.
