I have Kaali retrograde at 21 degrees 10 in Cancer in house 12
my ASC is 26 degrees 38 in Cancer

I found those threads here that very much interested me http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum35/HTML/001294.html

"People with Kaali conjunct the ASC seem to be either psychic vampires or psychic sponges. This is through no fault of their own, as is the case with all Astrological placements. Kaali conjunct the Sun or Moon seems to do the same thing. The native is too sensitive to the energies of this world. They are, essentially, wearing their insides on the outside"

I relate to that, especialy when I was younger. I also have a strong intuition and have premonitory dreams very often. when I was young I could feel energies so much that its like I was dissolving into them I had no sense of "self" it was difficult. but I also have mars in scorpio and a strong jupiter I think it helped me... a lot.
I practise Kundalini yoga, I dont even know how I discovered it but it changed me very much, I feel more grounded and secure within my self

But if kaali is in house 12 even is conjuct the ASC does it mean the same thing, house 12 is a very inner house so im wondering!

Your "conjunction" is more than 5 degrees. 3 degrees is wide for an asteroid; most astrologers who use asteroids rarely use an orb of more than 2 degrees.

While I like asteroid Kaali myself and would like to think it denotes shakti, I also take into consideration the reason for the name of the asteroid. It is named for a meteorite crater in Estonia, not the Indian goddess Kali. Others will vehemenently disagree with me, but I do not think we can completely ignore the reason for the name of an asteroid.

Couple that with your extremely wide conjunction, and my inclination would be to first look at other placements in your chart.
