I've got Cupido, Proserpina, Aphrodite and Sappho in the 1st house, with Cupido closely conjuncting my ascendant. I have no other planets in the 1st house, so I'm just wondering how these influences would operate?

SpiderLite,
Welcome to the forum.
Asteroids are kind of a young modern day study. Not taken serious by all. Definitely interesting. I happen to them. Each of us who study asteroids take them differently.

To answer your question, I'd start by researching the myths and meanings of each one you find is under 2° in distance. With the asc you might really be able to understand if there are qualities blended within you 'from' that slice of the galaxy. You might find your stories in your life might have similar instances which can't seem a mere coincidence.

I've got Cupido conjuncting my ASC. Also have Aphrodite and Sappho in a conjunction, both opposing my Sun. Can you tell me any information about that?

I will do Cupido conj the ASC. You may appear as if you are in love with people but it may not reflect your genuine way of heart feeling.

I like what you said, MoonMystic.

Researched these earlier, and want to first ask SpiderLite if you've chosen a profession to go into yet?, and what that might be?

Still trying to figure out which field I'd want to go into, I'm thinking maybe teaching? But that would be solely as a practical thing. My heart really lies in the creative realm. I love to sing and write, usually I'll write poetry, fiction, lyrics, etc. Also enjoy acting. My dream profession would probably be as either a writer/lyricist or singer.

Hi SpiderLite.

I went on a two-day asteroid research feeding-frenzy looking up your asteroids, and, your 5th House Sagittarius placements that include Venus, Jupiter, (And Salome), and Galactic Center. (Wow, on those!)

I feel hesitant in presenting things I found, especially not seeing your whole chart, and not knowing anything else about you. I do find some of this very fascinating.

Your wishing to go into that career, can be Blessed by your positions. Are you a LEO Asc or very late Cancer Rising?

Certainly with the two Benefics (Venus, Jupiter) in your house of Creativity, romance, drama, entertainment, you might be able to Channel some superb talent.

Luck with being published in those areas too, including with things involving Children in some way.

It's also the house having to do with Children. You'd be a blessing in the Classroom too.

Part of what I was wondering about is your relationship with your mother/'morality', and any kind of 'faith' upbringing you may have had, or! still have. {Proserpina, Salome}

Sappho is very very Creative when it comes to writing, and, her connection to Women.

Personally?, I'd love to watch what happens in your life around the area of Women who Shine in professions.

Songwriter? In Los Angeles? You're in the hot-spot. There is a current TV Show that helps music writers get some great exposure. You probably know which one. I don't know how old you are (in body, OR, in your 'soul'), but you're in one of the great locations for what you want to get into-- (including faith-based drama and music too).

The asteroids you've mentioned are very feminine-oriented. Even 'looks'/appearance oriented. Things having to do with beauty.

AS far as getting your teaching-credentials---
I've known some people who gained some renown as opera singers. They ALWAYS had a backup plan. One got his music-teaching degree for his backup, and was able to 'teach' singers-- he also had carpentry skills-- which helped him get jobs and 'eat' and pay his bills.
The other person became 'famous'.. and, she had a college 4 year nursing degree. Worked as a nurse for a while, while she was being discovered.

People in the music industry/drama, work very hard. Not everyone gets 'a break'.

Also, Josh Groban is out there.. he has been doing work with helping teachers who help children in the music fields. You might research him and some of the philanthropy he is involved in.

Wow--- The field of music/drama is really really broad.

Musicians/dramatists can be healers of the soul with their talents, and their imaginations. In this day where people spend much of their time in the daily-grind of things, and how out-of-touch with their feelings they can become, certainly musicians/dramatists/writers who can 'touch' their Worlds, can bring Color to life.

*laughing at self right now*
I've got a philosophical Disney-Soul today ~~~ LOL.

Glad to see you here, SpiderLite. Obviously, you've begun to research asteroids already. Will look forward to your participation with us.

I have outside links to Galactic Center if you still want that?

Galactic Center isn't an asteroid...
However, at www.astro.com you can select this in the 'objects' box as-though it were.
Same for fixed-stars, and hypotheticals--
e.g. h40 Cupido, h57 Proserpina {*heart*}

Oh, wow! Thank you so much for all the info and research, this is so fascinating!

Yes! Late Cancer Rising at 20 degrees. And what you mentioned about the 5th house/children is really fascinating to me. I've got a stellium there (Venus, Jupiter, Pluto, Moon) and I have always really been drawn to working with or being around/helping children in some way. And I had no idea I had the Galactic Center there! I've got the Great Attractor asteroid sitting in my 5th house as well and yeah, I'd love to see those links to the Galactic Center articles if you'd like to pass them along!

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, and I am considering staying here if I decide to pursue things in the entertainment realm. Which is ironic to me, because even as an L.A. native I can sometimes find the "plastic" culture of Los Angeles pretty irritating lol.

In terms of my mother/faith, yes, my mother is STRONGLY Christian and, as such, I was raised that way. I come from an uber-religious, somewhat conservative background, went to private Christian schools growing up, church every Sunday, the whole nine. I've actually moved away from the church as an adult though, I find that I'm much more drawn to esoteric studies/mysticism/spirituality/the occult/etc. But my relationship with my mother and to her faith has always been a bit strained (although literally all of what I just said can probably be explained by my Scorpio Moon, lol).

I've had lots of theatre training (makes sense with the 5th house stellium haha), but have never actually been vocally trained. Although people have always said to me (other actors/musicians/creative friends of mine) that I have a natural singing ability that could really be strengthened with the help of training, but I'm super shy about it. I also have Venus quincunx my ascendant, which I've heard can bestow singing abilities but also intense shyness about expressing yourself creatively, which I DEFINITELY relate to.

I'm 24

Again Mirage, thank you so so much for all the information you've passed on to me! I really appreciate you taking the time to do this! <3

Thanks for all that feedback!
Just checking here...
You're a Sun Aquarius (low degrees) in H7,
with a Mercury Aquarius ~20 in the 8th House?

I have a Venus quincunx ASC too!
~shyness is shown by other things also. There's a mixed-tendency for boldness (in me). Do better with a script! *grin* Guess it depends on the situation! LOL.
.. Never heard that singing talent is associated with this aspect. Wow. (True-- although prefer singing as a duo, and LOVE small ensembles and choirs. More confident as a 'background' singer. Really into harmony.)

Cool!! Thanks for passing that information on to me! Learned something today.

Your chart's really busy right now!

And yes, heard other comments about the shallower part of society in L.A.. If you can sense, discern, and secure what your 'purpose' is for living there, then (as you've mentioned) you'll see all the nuanced Blessings the locale has to offer you.

One of the ways to learn music and grow personal confidence with your singing voice, is to join some kind of Choir!! So much fun. Make sure to find one with top-notch talent associated with it. Some choirs receive group voice lessons by professional musically-trained directors.

With all your theatre experience, I'm sure you'd add a lot? Seasonal choir productions can be fun!

Yes, you're absolutely right. Sun in about the first decan of Aqua in the 7th, Mercury in around 20 degrees in the 8th!

Oh cool, the Venus quincunx ASC is an interesting one to me. I've got a couple random Venus placements lol. And as I'm starting to explore the asteroids more, I'm realizing that I've got a lot of interesting aspects from other iterations of Venus too (such as Innanen, Astarte, Ishtar, etc). Then combined with Sun in the 7th, it's kind of an intense influence! Makes me very eager to please and basically incapable of saying no to people, I'd say, hahaha. And I agree, I also seem to do better with a script, lol.

Yeah, L.A.'s a tough city. Seems like we're all just trying to stay afloat. And then there are those who pretend to be totally apathetic towards the effect that the city/its residents have on them, and they're absoluting BS-ing, lol. I think, secretly, the inherent superficiality of being here is hard on all of us.

I did choir as a kid! Really dug it! I have a few friends who participate in local choirs around Los Angeles, so maybe I'll look into that! I think it'd be fun

I was raised Presbyterian, but went to a lot of Lutheran schools growing up.
