Thanks Ghani.

Rajji i've been rather lazy though I will get time to look soon. lol

Mia, how are you going in your pregnancy?

I'm 32 weeks now. I can see the finish line. My belly is huge, baby is measuring 4 weeks ahead. Pelvic pain, crippling breathtaking braxton hicks.
I'm drinking 4 cups RRL tea now per day, I will increase that to 8 or more cups a day 36+. I'm likely to have another fast labor. I am also hoping for it. I want to deliver my own baby, meaning, that I will be within distance of a midwife and staff but at pushing and delivery I want to do it and my husband can help if I fumble.
Or if I think I'm doing ok, I'll get him to take a picture!

I just watched Orgasmic Birth documentary. Excellent and I recommend it. I am about to watch Pregnant in America.
And I bought 3 of Ina Mays books. I will be posting excerpts out of her books here.

I've taken all my pics down. But they are on my FB.

You are so close, I can't wait till I get to 36 weeks. I'm only 31 weeks. And due in november. I have been fine. He doesn't give me much problems other than the occasional nausea and vomiting. I can't wait to see him and bond with him more once he is born. We plan on doing the water birth but seeing as this is my first pregnancy, I don't know if it will turn out that way. I have faith that it will because I feel more comfortable having a water birth at the birthing center vs. have a vaginal or cesarean birth at the hospital. Right now we are getting ready for the baby shower and I have become so lazy now. My belly sticks out like a mini soccer ball. I have the worst pain in my hip/pelvic area I have ever felt. When I move my thigh muscles or when I try to roll myself over in bed I feel the ache. The waiting is so unbearable lol.

A water birth sounds totally awesome! Visualise yourself in labor in water, do what you can to make it materialise! And I'm sure you will have a blessed birth! I wish I was able to have a water birth last time, but my labor was wayy too fast.

Was going to update about being full term now. The waiting game!
Started beading and making jewellery to pass the time. Ramped up the RRL tea dosages. Looking at taking EPO too. I am getting prodromal contractions already, losing the plug and he's definitely dropped so I would be surprised if I go post due date by much at all.

LOL love your quote Randall.

Did you come up with that?

HHHAHAHAH

I'm having contractions, I know this is my third birth but I kind of don't know whats going on with my body. I was nesting like mad today, I cleaned the WHOLE house clockwise, moving into each room, making it perfect, bending down ~ now my whole back and pelvis hurts but I was contracting the whole day, I am used to ignoring my contractions because they never seem to turn into real labor, so I ignore them, but now they hurt more, and are coming every 5-10 minutes, wrapping around my back and front, I'm not sure if it's because i'm just sore down there anyway and it just hurts more. I'm so confused. I don't want to get checked for nothing so I'm going to go about my day as if nothing is happening until the contractions prevent me from acting normal.... sounds like a good plan?

Most of you know by now on FB that he arrived!

I was in prodromal labor for 3 days prior to my water breaking at 2.30am on the 24th.
I felt a few gushes of warm liquid and knew it was my waters. I called my midwife and asked about what I should do, whether to get checked as I was having no contractions at that point. We discussed what week of pregnancy I was in, it turned out I was just over 36 weeks. I kind of knew that as I ovulated very late in my cycle, I would have been 37 weeks from my LMP.
Because I was considered preterm she asked me to come in and get checked. I was 1cm. After 5 hours of resting up, I was 4cm. Things were progressing. I decided to use the birthing suite in the hospital because I am prone to a PPH and tearing quite badly. I was given a shot of antibiotics and given pitcon to get labor going. I was told because of his prematurity they would need to hurry things along. (I wish I had a doula at that point). I could hear my thoughts saying "just wait a bit longer, labour will start soon, refuse the antibiotics". They stayed in my thoughts and the midwives did not know they were my wishes. But they read my birth plan and respected it for the most part. A Doctor came in to check me. My cervix was posterior and there was a lip prevent the baby from decending. I felt a horrible surge of pain in my cervix from the check. I was upset with the Doctor be she assured me it was necessary. After that I hit transitional labour going from 4cm to 10cm in just over an hour and half. The contractions from the syntocin they gave me were incredibly strong and more painful. I asked for pain relief, but I settled with gas and stayed on the gas for the entire birth. It really felt good. I stood up at one stage but I felt things moving to fast and my midwife said to go on all fours to prevent tearing. I read the same thing in Ina May's guide to childbirth about tearing so I was happy to go on all fours. I could feel him coming with each push and the actual crowning did not hurt that much, the contractions were worse! I did not tear right open, just a beginning of a tear that only required one stitch!
He came out with the cord around his neck and the student midwife frightened my husband but the other midwives assured us everything was alright. I already knew a nuchal cord was nothing to worry about. The baby still received oxygen from the cord, not their necks!
He was very small but a good weight. I knew he was fine and I was fine. I was given many injections to prevent bleeding (I hardly bled at all). I am so happy everything went well. My only regret is that I wish I had a doula to stand up for me.

Congrats SUNCHILD!

what a birth! i think i will start taking that rrl tea and maybe the epo as well soon. I want him to come early because I am truly tired of being tired at this point but I change my mind and decide that he will come when he is ready. But they say he is measuring big and I am a fews days shy of 35 weeks. Im like should he be a scorpio or a libra lol. Im a capricorn and his dad is a virgo. I have no experience with scorpios what-so-ever and the few I have met, I dont like for specific reasons but the funny thing is that is the only sign in the zodiac that I dont have a deep understanding of and quite frankly I dont get scorpios. I find that the closer and closer I get to my due date, the more I feel like I don't know what i'm doing or what I want as far as my birth experience. It drives me crazy that I have no experience with giving birth or seeing birth so I can not plan for anything or get an idea of where things may go. I know my birth plan speaks for me but anything could happen at the birth and I wont have time to think about what is going on or what they are trying to inject me or my son with. I just dont want to have a unhappy birth experience. My step mom is helping me prepare for birth which is cool because I am so lost. Its hard because I know so much about pregnancy and can give other people help and advice but now that I am pregnant all that stuff has gone out the window and I am just like i dont know lol.

Thanks! We are all so in love with Conan.

Lotus~ A doula is someone to support the mothers wishes during childbirth, her advocate. Someone who can support the labour and delivery but also make sure the Mothers emotions are cared for and respected.

I woke up the other night remembering the midwives, I had 3 in total. I had a 2 young women attending me, one was a student. The student was a lovely girl and I did not mind her doing the delivery. She had to learn! She was very pretty and had a gentle demeanour about her, so I was happy for her to be there. The other Midwife went through the procedures and protocol but I felt that I was 'left out'.... she really didn't try to connect with me or actually listen to me.
It made me sad but overall I am happy. The eldest midwife was a pro! She was very good at her job but I just wished she would have acknowledged me when I spoke during hard labor. I was kind of ignored because I was moaning in pain, getting louder, and then, in between contractions I would speak, only my husband acknowledged me. They just seemed to think I was delusional and ignored me.....
A doula would have prevented that and the doula would have not missed a word I spoke and looked me in the eyes and heard me. It really fills me with sad anger, but then I am overjoyed and grateful. I am just fiercely sensitive to people and their emotions. When I was fully dilated I sensed everyone in the room and knew whether they actually gave a sh!t.

Mia... I'll have to get back to you tonight.... I want to reply but Angelica is pulling Tahlea's hair now, and I hear screaming! lol

*hugs* I felt 'done' when I hit 35 weeks, and I felt nearer to the end than with my first two. I was bigger also so perhaps, it may mean you will also deliver before your due date. Looking back I definitely sensed it! Trust your body when you enter labor and the hardest part of labor is when you get into transition (that's the part where you just want it all to stop!).... the early part of labor is easy, a lot of women mistakingly go for epidurals at this stage, but you get a lot of breaks in between contractions and you get to recover, and it really doesn't hurt that much, you are just waiting for transition, when you fully dilate and are ready to push, when you feel like you can't take it any more you are nearly pushing your baby out! It's that simple, yet often, we interrupt that process with pain relief which, you need not be frightened of, it will all be over and you will feel like the most awesome woman in the world! Believe in your body and go with the flow. The Gas is actually all you need, it really does work with the pain. Your body will do all the talking and the nurses are there to support you, if you can, try and remember to not lay on your back, turn over- the easiest birth I had was on hands and knees. My woman's parts were not ruined this time lol When your little Scorp looks into your eyes it will all make sense! You're a strong woman and I'm so excited for you in what you are about to experience!!!
Blessings~~~

Indeed, emeraldopal.

Thanks Venus, Lala! ((( )))

Please tell me I'm delusional! ......

Before my baby was born I was SO sure he would be born on the 26th Of September, I never told anyone, I kept it to myself and my husband.
My water broke on the 24th and I was induced the same day. (I am still bitter about being induced.)
I know you can wait up to 48 hours for labor to start after waters have ruptured.
I wrote my sons birthday on my facebook photo album as the 26th!!! I changed it today I noticed it was wrong.
The thing is, I CANT SHAKE THE FEELING I forced him here two days earlier than HE planned! Have I messed up his destiny slightly? Or does it not work like that?
I just can't shake the feeing, that's all. WHAT IF I waited??, I would of entered natural labor on the 26th. ? Possible?
The only part that comforts me is that when he was born, he was born with a nuchal cord, the cord wrapped around his neck, normally that poses no real danger, unless the cord becomes too tight and restricts itself of oxygen (the cord not the neck), he had a VERY short cord too (a few more twists and flips in my womb could have been disastrous!), so by knowing that, I part of me is so relieved that he arrived safely, a little blue, but safe and sound!
I then worry if I waited something terrible could of happened.
Please tell me to relax..... but I can't shake a weird feeling about the events or probable events of the 26th! Like an alternate reality.....

Hmmmm

a reason, I bet your son knew he
was coming early..24 is a beautful

Not to steal your glory SunChild but just to let everyone know, I had baby De'Angelo! Born 11/4/11. I was in the water like I had planned but I eventually ended up squatting on the floor and that is how I had him. Having him that way actually felt so much better than when I was in the water. I had to get stitches though but it was an experience lol.
