I buy packages of frozen, whole wheat bread loaves...3 loaves for $4...let them rise on the hearth and they bake up beautifully and smell so good!

I confess to this short cut too. But I have never used a bread maker, have you?

Have you made home made bread? There is tons of therapy value in kneading [punching] the dough. It eliminates tension and builds muscle in fthe arms.

When I get wound up tight in winter, I bake bread .

At least the booya mystery was solved

You're a busy bee most of the time, Juni.
All this talk about bread..the one thing I'm trying to stay away from..homemade baked bread is the best! The smell too. You two are bad. *pout*

Maybe you girlies should take a hint and extend out an invitation for this Saggie to taste some doughy goodness?

If not then I understand - greedy butts! j/p!

Hi Faith.

Well you did pick up on something no one else has which makes you creepy.

Just messing with you! You're not creepy. It's actually a good thing. Your senses are more attuned. Some "lurker" reading this statement might think, "maybe she's just good at analysing words in post". Nope. One CAN pick up on energies from words..things which words don't tell you. The same as one can pick up on energies from photos etc. Adding that last piece for the skeptics and nay- sayers. Those who are not really tuned into their intuition, who want facts! Like my mum.

Some things you just can't explain. You have to experience it. :/

LOL! Hiya girls!

Big day of VEGETABLE cooking today! Can't wait! That, plus bean dishes, whole grains, and maybe a little fresh fruit! Nothing beats it!

Me and my intuition...gosh that's trouble.

Ceridwen freaked me out yesterday by telling me that the transiting sun was conjunct transiting Kaali. She spooked me real good because I *knew* that before she told me. I had been feeling electric and I thought, "This is Kaali. This is what Kaali feels like." But I was too lazy to check. Then Ceri told me. *faint*

It's just weird, maybe I am getting attuned to the planets and all that. (?) Maybe?

Thanks for asking about my birthday, it was great! I got what I always want...attention from my friends and family. Nah, I'm not LEO RISING why would anyone think that? LOL

---

Enough about me! Boring me!

Is your sister still here, Charmaine? You two get along well? I hope so!

Doing "events" sounds so glamorous. I wish I could do events again. I used to attend them, when I worked at a big cancer center. We'd have lunches with the President of the American Cancer Society and things like that. Important times with important people.

But...wellllll...actually, nah, I'd rather chill with astrologers, so....

The charity work I miss and need to get back to. I love that you do it. It's great when people are beautiful inside and out.

SNOW here, lots of snow! Did you get it, too, Juni? And you Charmaine?

Talk to you snow angels later!

Hail hail the gangs all here... or so goes that song

Charm,
In winter, I crave carbs in the form of breads & cakes too. I think it`s a physical instinct to lay down winter fat. Or so I excuse myself with the thought!!

I have been busy as I agreed to teach a master gardening class for the Uni`s extension program this March. I`m excited and nervous at the same time so I am preparing early.

Indeed . Words are only part of the human interaction and all was blessed with the gift of intitution . Sadly, many don`t hone it and tune in!

Faith, Lord yes. We got a foot of snow but the temps at negative 15 are the worst. The blowing powdery snow is so hazaderous driving and roads are shut down for safety.
I hear you New Englanders are getting hammered right too.
You have my complete sympathy and stay safe and warm.

I took a break from LL for a while due to a busy schedule and wasn't aware of most things happening here. After "catching" up a bit I'm actually sad and it feels like a hole in stomach. Can't believe how things got out of hand in other forums. The same stuff over and over and over again. It's ridiculous.

What effing madness! There's a LOT I want to say and get out because besides witnessing all this bs, I too experienced it FIRST hand and let me tell you now: you NEVER win. No matter what facts or proof you have. No matter if EVERYONE is seeing the same continuous nonesense occur on almost a daily basis. It doesn't matter if you regular, constructive contributor on the site; and the end of the day YOU just have to grin and bear it until the next espisode.. Which is draining to say the least..

I don't want anyone reading this to think that this is an attack on the site or Randall. As a member here, I feel I have the same right to vent and honestly express my frustrations like anyone else. Nor is it my intention to turn this thread into a fight fest.

These remarks, although they are out of complete frustration, is also coming from someone who wants to see improvement and who considers LL to be a haven, a community to learn, exchange idea(l)s and aid each other in a supportive, respectful way. Not the opposite!

The main reason I joined was my love of Linda and at the time I joined, LL reflected that spirit. Yes, times change blah blah but how did it get to the point where one individual can get away with murder each and every time and the rest have to watch like little lambs because we can't do a darn thing about it..

I don't know anymore.. I don't know..

You absolutely can vent. And I'm listening. It doesn't mean I agree, because you aren't seeing all sides. I will be glad to give you more insight in private. But I certainly understand your frustration.

Nobody's asking you to throw people away but GEEZ wake up! Face the music! Talk about reality as it IS, not as you *want it to be.*

Then, once you realize that you have given too much power to someone who is not up to the task, remove that power until they ARE up to the task. Though I doubt they ever will be, frankly.

Right now you are just enabling. You're saying, "Hey you are sane enough to be a leader here" when really that person has a loooooooooooong way to go. False assurances PREVENT people from addressing their issues and this negatively impacts a lot of people.

A LOT OF PEOPLE.

I looked around Lindaland this morning and landed here.

Charm, all I can do is add exclaimation marks to your post. You speak words on so many minds and hearts. Please don`t let the unbalance of others cause you harm.

We love Linda and Lindaland or we would let it all go in a puff of smoke. We know usernames are real people and real people get hurt .

Change is not always progress. Changing usernames [people] will not fix whats broken.

Some are yes ,but the majority are not liars, conspiracy theorists, trouble makers or haters. In the heart this is know and seen.

The path ahead it littered and rocky. How it goes is not in our hands...

How we walk between the lines and remain ever hopeful and is.

Hug, Charmaine.

Yeah, you are in an especially trying position.

I will definitely be posting and visiting less, but not burning the bridge unless something so sick happens, I HAVE to, just for closure and to put this illness behind me definitively.

Worth repeating.

If we could only put the question to the forum as a whole and see what everyone thinks...if only we had a democracy instead of a monarchy.

I come here for people like you and Charmaine.

But this place is kinda like an insane asylum, so it's becoming more of a labor of love to visit.

No one ever would want that under no circumstances. Ever!

Less bias and more understanding of "all sides" as you mentioned is what seems to be asked of you

I appreciate how very difficult this for you. I don`t know the particulars nor do I care. I care about Lindaland and her Knowflakes. Not one, two or six but all including those who will be knewflakes.

I've said several times that no one is asking you "throw" anyone away.
If people are willing to grow and learn from their mistakes, fine, but making the same mistake all the time? How is that growing and learning? Where's the respect when requested to obey the rules all of us are expected to obey? If it were anyone else, eventually you would take away their Modship as you have with many in the past until they prove to be responsible.

I see this an very unfair.

Hey, Juni.

As always your words have a way of soothing things over. Don't worry about me. I like many others genuinely want what's best for LL as a whole even if my words are viewed negatively.

Faith,
I hope you do continue to visit and chat with us. There isn't much I can say to make you feel better but I hope our frienship here will not be marred by the politics here.

I have a couple of things to do. I hope this thread doesn't esculate into a ball of fire during my absence (I kept my temper under check)and hope you all can too. It'll be a pooper to start ANOTHER from scratch again.

I feel better now that I expressed what I was feeling here. I hope you do as well and then move on from there.

Amen Sister! It can be expressed with out flaming .

Remember, a knee jerk reaction only bloodies ones own nose !
I speak from experience, I had one recently.

We all are learning; that`s what earth school is for.

Repeating the same lesson over and over is not learning and at some point, it affects others adversely and that is the problem when left unattended.

Cause and effect

We are having a baby calf ! Off to attend...

Ditto!

It's sad to think that all someone has to say to Randall is, "I'm learning" and that counts as evidence outweighing all the very obvious indications to the contrary.

It outweighs all the testimony from all the people who are victimized by the bullying.

Why? What's the power in those little words, "I'm learning"?

Isn't it all because of egos?

Randall do you need someone to be the "patient" in order for you to see yourself as "the doctor"?

Why not cure a WHOLE FORUM that's in disrepair instead of just one person...who actually isn't even getting better, just duping you? If you cure a forum, you really are quite a doctor! If you pretend-cure a pretend-healthy person, it's all just smoke and mirrors.

This is your challenge as I see it.

An Aquarian baby bull...

I saw this morning about 3/4 of the U.S. is in this darn unrelenting cold/snow/winds.

I never realized the eastern side / coast had such mild winters .
You 2 must really be out of sorts with the mess!

Awwwww, congrats and welcome to this planet baby Aqua bull!

Juni, not sure if it was you who mentioned this but do you grow your own veggies?

Argh to the weather! I can't tolerate cold or extreme heat. That is what the weather in the States is like and one thing I can't adjust to.. I never experienced snow storms and all that until I moved here so it's kind of scary because the weather appears unpredictable. It makes me miss the mediterranian climate in SA. *grumble grumble*

Thanks for your last comment, Faith. It means a lot.

It was nice having my sister for a visit. She's not the easiest person to understand but I do miss her terribly..as long as we're not in each other's company too long.

She's witty and has a great sense of humor but also prone to pity parties when things don't go her way. She's the baby and was spoilt all her life. Despite being spoilt she lashed out the most (regarding all the abuse). She got into trouble often, got involved with wrong people, drugs and alcohol. She always blamed her behavior on our mum - which I saw as manipulation. My mum up to this day feels bad for things we had to endure. She blames herself and my sister always milked her on that which eneded up with her never taking responsiblity for her actions. I already told her straight to her face that she can't use her past as an excuse for her behavior all her life. We also had a hard time and got the worst of it yet we don't use it as a cop-out everytime!

It doesn't mean I love her any less. I do have a soft spot for her - always will but it doesn't mean I won't call her out when she's being manipulating. It's not blind love. Looking away does not help the situation.
She's not as bad now, well from what I last saw and updates from mum but she still needs to grow up and start dealing with her issues instead of always blaming it on someone else.
