Tim Does that mean that I keep my defence mechanisms hidden? Would you find alot of people in mental institutes with this postion? Because these people are hiding their defence mechanisms which when expressed are healthy but when repressed not so?IP: Logged |

Quinnie,I think that "hidden defenses" is not the same as "insane person"! People with Saturn (defenses) in the 12th house ("hidden" house) may not be aware of their defensive ways or others may not be aware of the person's defensive ways. But they may still be perfectly sane! Sanely, Tim IP: Logged |

Ok lol. But just to add you don't have to be insane to be in a mental institution it seems on occasions! How about phobias etc. Would they be common with this placement? I've met a few people with Saturn in 12th and they have experienced isolation or alienation which is alot of the time due to mental health. From my own perspective I've had phobias but glad to know it doesn't make me insane!IP: Logged |

Quinnie,You asked: quote: How about phobias etc. Would they be common with this placement?
Having Saturn (duty, also structure) focused in the 12th house (spirituality) is a challenge, since Saturn "wants" structure" and the 12th house "dissolves" all structures, boundaries, and separations between us and everything else. So people with Saturn in the 12th can feel that their world is "breaking down" around them as they struggle to build structures which "something"is always tearing down. The challenge is to work at structuring their own spiritual awareness, while accepting the "dissolving" affect of the 12th house to INCLUDE everyone else in Saturn's "boundaries". This can add up to a LOT of "spiritual discipline" in those who get the "lesson" of Saturn in the 12th house. Spiritually, Tim IP: Logged |

Hi wilson, I also have Saturn conjunct Jupiter in the 12th and I was wondering, what do you mean about including everyone else? How can one acheive a spiritual discipline? You're right about the phobias Quinnie, I've suffered from agoraphobia a few years ago, and I do think that the mind can be our greatest ally or our greatest enemy... I remember that I wrote in my journal, a long time ago, before I started to learn astrology : the mind is the worst prison there is...

Oh the different a planet makes! You have Saturn (structure) conjunct (energy is combined with) Jupiter(opportunity) focused in the 12th house (spirituality), so this indicates questions of "How do I create the opportunity for spiritual discipline?" The good news is, with Jupiter involved, there are LOTS of opportunities...once you get past Saturn's automatic "restricting" influence. The trick is to get contractive Saturn and expansive Jupiter to "play nice" with each other. Playing nice, Tim IP: Logged |

Hi Tim, thank you so much for the response!I think saturn in 5th would be afraid to enjoy himself... afraid of dating, of having children, of expressing all that plutonian creativity, maybe fearful that people would laugh at the depth? I'm speculating here, um, no, learning IP: Logged |

I have saturn at 15 Aquarius 15 in first house. I was thinking that meant something of a detached response/defense. I noticed Tim mentioned perhaps rebellion. I'm thinking I have something going on in my chart that modifies my response, but detached in a false sense of "I don't know what the heck is going on" sort of way seems possible.IP: Logged |

I agree with Oceaneyes, its the same with me... I have Saturn in Aquarius in he 12th house. I mostly detach myself from the situation, I just don't respond but I do this when I'm with people I'm not close to probably because I want to avoid any confrontation with them. But if I'm very hurt I rebel(sometimes very wildly) against the person who hurt me, I also manipulate and become sarcastic(Mars in Gemini trine Aquarius ascendant) If someone close to me hurts me I'm like, "lets talk about it and make things clear". I don't know if its Saturn in AquariusIP: Logged |
