ujala unregistered	posted April 28, 2003 10:24 AM hi all! well i am an aries sun and capricorn ascendant i do agree that the ascendant sign gives an outwardly impression about u while the sun sign is wht ur inside... in other words...i m seen as a practical , responsible capricorn from a distance but when ppl get to knw me closely...they start seeing all the impulsiveness, temper, recklessness , passion n Fire in me! so i do tell ppl myself..tht dont think i am wht u think of me frm a distance!! and yes, this is true too...that as a kid i ws very mature and practical...pretty much sober...but as i am growing i m getting sexier, flirtatious , and all the -ve and +ve things u associate with an aries! silverbells unregistered	posted June 09, 2003 09:20 PM I'm a libra, and my ascendant is Sag and my moon is in Scorpio, and I personally don't think that I act at all like a Sag except for my high value on honesty and my frank way of speaking. Lunargirl unregistered	posted June 10, 2003 03:29 AM Not really! You may have some very dominant Scorpio or 8th House influences that overshadow a "pure" Sag Asc. It's like the old example of an Ascendant being like the front door on the house that is you, your Sun. Your Sag "door" might have Scorp details (locks, etc.) that point to a Scorp influence elsewhere. Lunargirl IP: Logged
1scorp unregistered	posted June 10, 2003 09:09 AM Lunar, I see Libra and Scorpio. I'm saying that due to having the same influences. I've always thought it would be difficult for someone who has 3 different signs going at once. (Ex: a sun sign, moon sign and seperate Asc.) However, it may just be due to me having the same moon and Asc. sign. IP: Logged

Merry Meet again! 1scorp, yeah, a Sun sign often contains Inner planets from either the preceding or following sign. So a Scorp often feels a Libra influence that comes from having something there, or by having planets in the 7th House, or both. As in: early Scorps have planets in Libra, in general, and late Scorps have more in Sag. Middle Scorps, well, I dunno, they don't tell, so they must have more in Scorp!. Lunargirl IP: Logged
Sagi unregistered	posted June 19, 2003 10:46 PM Just signed up and started coming to class.. Thought Ascendants would be an interesting place to start out. I hope that's alright? Me, I'm a Sagittarius sun, with Cancer rising and Taurus moon. I don't know a lot right now, but I can ramble a little about experiences. This combo seems to make things a little complicated, especially with relationships. I remember someone's post early on for this topic, about having a Cancer somewhere and hating it because they were reserved for no reason. I can relate... Anywho.. I'll leave things at that. All in all I really just find the ascendants to be such an interesting part of people's charts.. enjoyed reading each of yours. If you think of the ascendant as the "you" you show when you first meet someone, walk into a room - a bit like the part an actor plays when he goes on stage. When the Ascendant and Sun are in different signs, you can see how this makes a difference, as the Ascendant is the first thing we reveal to others. When growing up I was VERY shy running around trying to please everyone. I felt hurt by remarks and even when not getting any remarks. I wanted to love the world but from a distance and to help others behind the scenes. At the age of 12 most of my friends had moved away and the ones I had left I slowly left be. I couldn't stand it when friends talked behind each others back and thought it to "evil" and let go from all remaining friends. I was the last to open my mouth to say my piece, didn't know if I had one either. In my 26 years of life I have never been angry. I have never raised my voice or faught with anyone. If someone is angry with me my throat knots up and I freeze and try to hold the tears back. I have no ambition what so ever but I can be stubborn about things that concern only myself, if someone else is in the picture I want a desicion to be mutual or I could consider faulding for peace sake. After I left home I felt free and with time I got a little bit bolder. I dared to do things on my own, take desicions and the neseccary steps to live. I red that a cancer rising I have a "tendancy to criticize carelessly, without regard for the other person's feeling." Which I can't relate to because I have gone through life avoiding conflicts and given up the thought of friends because of their lack of "friendlyness". I could NEVER hurt another being. I am Virgo Sun Scorpio rising..and my chart does really funky stuff because even tho I am rising in scorp, the rest of my first house is Sag......going by degrees. Is this normal?? Reading my chart messes with me sometimes. I feel however, that outwardly I play at being a Virgo and my inner, hidden self is Scorpio..that wouldn't fit, would it? I prefer to hide that passion, and never let ppl see if they bother me or not. And I never let on that I may or may not trust people.. thats for me to "keep in my pocket." I don't know. lunacrab1 unregistered	posted March 05, 2004 08:23 PM I am a cancer with Virgo rising. I read that it was the opposite. That your Sun was what people that don't know you can see, whereas your rising sign was the traits that only people that were close to you could see. But it makes much more sense this way. I am a Cancer sun with virgo rising. Honestly, I don't think that people who don't know me very well would ever guess that I was a Cancer. IP: Logged
