I feel like this aspect is largely overlooked but since Neptune is a higher octave of Venus, don't you think this is a very romantic aspect? Or at least lead you to a lot of sex dreams lol.

Talk about Mars/Neptune experiences.

Mars/Neptune conjunction was difficult.

It was romantic and there was a lot of fantasy involved, but there was also the constant suspicion of deception, and a lot of acting out against the "perceived deception" involved...

Positive aspects seem like a good thing, but the squares from Neptune in synastry or composite - I would definitely pass on.

I think of Mars conjunct Neptune as suddenly seeing a person and turning your head to take a second glance because the thought of being sexual with them is introducing all kinds of naughty thoughts into your head that makes you feel like you want to rip off their clothes.

Well, it's the fisrt time i experience the mars(me) conjuction neptune and i think it adds something romantic. She makes me dream, i don't know if it's because of that aspect though. Mars is sex and Neptune is fantasy, so together make sexual fantasy?

I have this in conjunction natally, so pretty much everyone within a few years of me has their Neptune conjunct my Mars. I've been trying to figure out how I look to the Neptune person. I'm not have sexual fantasies about everyone lol and the other way around seems a bit extreme.... or maybe its just alot easier to fantasy about me? The romance part, guys have never been very forward with me but I always accounted that for my chart natally, but since I'm the Mars they are feeling I should make the first move?

I have this with someone now. Liz Greene has a great book on Neptune that's on scribd and I think she describes the Mars/Neptune dynamic really well.

In this case I'm the Neptune- I see Mars as kind of a knight in shining armor, kind of ideal sexually. He is super aggressive towards me which I love but sometimes I kind of lose myself in...I don't know the idealization? It feels really watery and indistinct. I know I can become hard to pin down for him sometimes. The more direct he is the more evasive I become. But sexually it's pretty great chemistry. Lots of fantasy and the possibility of actual fulfillment of that fantasy!

Siding with PlutoSquared on this. Harsh aspects between these two lend a "scarlet letter" feel in transit. There is a a "dirty" quality to the relationship - definitely the type of stuff most people keep behind closed doors... well the older generation did anyway. The newer Aquarians seem pretty open to just about anything in a public venue, so *shrug*

My (gf?/??) and I both have cap mars and she has a cap neptune, though the orb between our neptune and mars is 13, so probably too much to consider.

13 orb? Wow that's unheard of (maybe?). Some think anything between 5 and 10 is ify
I don't feel my 9 orbs too strongly, also since its synastry I think you'd want very close orbs. I wouldn't even consider it personally.

What's up amowls :-)

Just taking a guess at it, I think Mars Neptune is like malefic vs malefic. Neptune is only a benefic when in contact with Venus. Sounds like Mars Neptune would be mislead action or something to that effect.

Gemini Sun
Libra Moon
Gemini Mercury
Cancer Venus
Virgo Mars
Virgo Asc

And yes, I'm a guy!

I have Mars/Neptune both ways with someone (a trine and an inconj.), but I haven't heard or felt whether he wants to rip off my clothes.

Of course, we both have the aspect in the harsh version natally as well (news at 11) and I've read that in that case you are actually going towards neutral in the synastry regarding it?

Mars/Neptune between appropriate people is sexual fantasy.

Only if they're conj each other, then it emphasizes cos it's a draw, you both have it, you sense it in each other, it shows in the composite and it's just 2 people getting together who have this certain dynamic in common.

Hmm do you mean a conj. natally or in synastry then? Ie, it wouldn't be felt in synastry if it happens to be a conj. natally or the other way around?

Aaaand another thing I've read somewhere is that if you have it already as a harsh aspect natally then a harsh aspect in synastry could possibly be mellowed? Ie I have the opposition natally, would that make the quinc. look like a laugh?

Like if you both have the same harsh aspect, and each point is conj the same point in the other chart, or even if not, then it's more of 'you're crazy just like me, let's be friends.'

quote:
I have the opposition natally, would that make the quinc. look like a laugh?

The dynamic involved will be running through the interaction, at different speeds, they'll still be there though. Depends, the inconjunct is an aspect of adjustment so you'll have to make it work instead of having the option to project it onto someone else like you have with the opposition.

If you experience, say, the natal opp as problematic, look to the other person's chart who may be adding valuable sextiles or trines to either point of the opp via synastry and that'll tend to help you integrate those functions, or look to any planets you have sextile or trine those pts natally so that you can take a breather.

Hmm not sure if I am seeing the natal as problematic, the Neptune-Mars opp forms a t-square with the Moon ... you could say I always felt/fantasized that I am a warrior and identified very much with action heroines.

Now the person I have this synastry with helps me actually realizing this dream, in a way.

As for what he's adding, well his Neptune/Saturn conj are trining my Mars, Pluto is sextiling my Mars, so you could say he's teaching and transforming it? ... and an opposition from his Jup to my Neptune (but hey, so do I) and a quinc. from his sun to my Neptune (but hey ... if you allow for a generous 6° orb my sun is trine his Neptune)

Anyway, I can see how dreams and fantasies play a role definetly.
