LOL can mean laugh-out-loud or here, it can mean Labour of Love. It can mean both! What I'm asking, is essentially what Osheen asked in her "free" post but I'm asking you to go into a bit more detail. Obviously your "free" answers would be what your labours of love would be. I'd like you to tell us your labour of love (foreseen or doing now) AND I'd be interested in what you are doing as your occupation now if you feel comfortable stating that. I'll go first. My labour of love is writing. I'm a poet and fiction writer and I write to make a difference in peoples' lives. So far I've done a nice job that I know of. "Eternal" and I also would love to take Linda's old house (the very nice bed and breakfast) and turn it into our own B&B/spirituality camp and honor Linda's teachings. and I would like to be a mother one day. As for my occupation, I am a bookseller. As stated before, I like my job most of the time. So what about you? LMB IP: Logged |

To start a nonprofit agency that eventually grows nationally and is known by everyone (and helps many thousands each year). LOL ------------------ "It is never too late to become what you might have been." George Eliot IP: Logged |

HHmm, , Methinks in some way, you've begun that here, in a grassroots sort of way. LMB IP: Logged |

Sort of. But I was thinking along the lines of another March of Dimes or something like that. ------------------ "It is never too late to become what you might have been." George Eliot IP: Logged |

My LOL is to help people break out of their karma, their limitations.Since childhood, I have had a vision of being completely happy and satisfied with life, and not having even a trace of regret/ grief/ anger/ (any other "negative" feeling) in me. I KNOW it is possible. Since childhood, and through teenage, I felt quite unfulfilled. I was very shy, quite plump, awkward, tense, absent-minded ~ you name it. But thankfully, the vision stayed with me. Eventually, I was able to overcome all my limitations one-by-one, and am leading a much more fulfilling life now. All these years, when I was acutely aware of my shortcomings, but intensely KNEW that I would one day realize my vision, I had this thought in my mind ~ "If *I* can do it, anybody can. When I have done it, I'll teach 'them' (others) how to do it." That is, I wanted to teach others how to overcome their problems/ weaknesses/ limitations. I believe I am almost there now. I still have some issues to work on, but I am improving. My quest for complete happiness and satisfaction (and for a being a 'perfect' person) has led me to many learnings, which I want to share with everyone. Randall making me the Moderator of the Health and Healing forum is certainly no coincidence ~ the Uni-verse has been helping me every step of the way, bringing me just what I needed. ------------------ No one's karma owns them; we own karma. My LOL is soapmaking. I have started this little soapmaking business and just recently I am starting to get some business! It's nice because I've always felt that I am "artistically challenged"...hehe...I mean I can't draw, I can't paint, my handwriting's pretty gross, but now I'm finally good at something involving art and that's new for me. Plus, I don't have to work at some crappy job for like six bucks an hour. And finally, no more babysitting a bunch of little brats! I am so lucky to have found such a great LOL. ------------------ "We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strain, we must not break our bonds of affection. my LOL would definitely have to be helping others(especially kids) that have been abused or mistreatd in some way. I would love to join the Peace Corp which I've always felt was my "calling", which I will do one day when my own little munchkins are all growed up

Labours Of Love....I have many!I love animals, and for quite a while volunteered with our local Humane Society, walking dogs every weekend. Gave it up after becoming frustrated, seeing that the Society wasn't attacking the problem of homeless and unwanted animals, they were simply providing a stopgap...but still, countless thousands of cats and dogs are being put down yearly. It was just too heartbreaking. Lately I have also been helping a few other people with emotional support, those who have either lost or are having difficulties with their Twinsouls. Even just being a shoulder to cry on can sometimes give tremendous comfort to those in pain. I draw (pencil sketches)...although in the last few months have lost interest in it...but I love to sketch animals, and usually wind up giving those sketches away to friends. My future LOLs....well, I have a vision in my head; it may or may not come true, but it is something that I pictured from the day he and I separated, and I hold this vision dear to me. They say that envisioning something is the first step towards making it a reality... I picture my future with my Twinsoul, and in it we will live in the country, working together. I will write (childrens') books, and he will illustrate them (he is an extremely accomplished artist). We will live in an old house, lots of living space, and will take in children who have dropped through the cracks of the social system, kids who desperately need a loving home when no one else will take them. And of course, we will also take in any stray or abandoned animals in need of love as well. I would also love to volunteer my services to one of the many organizations that rescues animals who are trapped during a disaster, such as fire or flood. My occupation at the moment: I work for the government, preparing scientific manuscripts for our editors. A good job, but definitely not my future.
