Hello everyone!!
After reading the chapter "AN APPLE A DAY" in Linda's book "STAR SIGNS" I decided to work my way to becoming a vegetarian. A month ago I cut red meat out of my diet. I must say that I feel better and my energy level seems to have increased not to mention that I have lost 5 pounds. Anyway I am wondering how many of you are vegetarian or have only cut red meat out of your diet's and what effect's you have noticed. Are there any of you who are fruitarian . If you are what effects have you noticed.

This is completely off the subject but do any of you own a "PURPLE PLATE"? Linda talks about them in her book and I was just wondering if anyone had one and if they are every thing Linda say's them to be. Don't get me wrong, I don't doubt her word. I am just curious.

I'm a vegetarian and proud of it.

I became one before I read "Linda Goodman's Star Signs". I gave up meat and fish at the same time, which isn't exactly the way our friend Linda recommended, but that's okay because that means I was meant to do it that way.

Hi Kalikiano

I've given up meat (beef, chicken, pork...pretty much all of them) on and off for the last year or so. I kept fish and dairy in my diet, though.

To tell you the truth, I felt much better physically, and actually mentally too. The only problem for me was, every once in a while I had to eat some meat because I have very high metabolism, and seemed to drop excessive amounts of weight (I'm thin to begin with) unless I added some sort of meat to my diet.

I really don't like eating meat though, not only for ethical reasons, but because I have a problem with depression and I realized that I wasn't getting as depressed during the periods I didn't eat meat for a few months.

So, personally, I've had very good *mental* benefits from dropping meat, but kind of lousy physical benefits (just for me). If anyone knows of a way for me to stay a somewhat vegitarian and keep *meat* on by bones please, I'm all ears!

Sweetpeas~ "...that has a face." That's a good one

I stopped eating meat some years ago and enjoyed the difference immediately. I do sometimes *cave* and eat fish, sometimes even a cheeseburger I feel fine after eating fish, but I never feel good after eating red meat

Towards my last few months as a carnivore, I started noticing something disturbing. Every time I ate meat, somebody would die.
I took it as a very unsubtle message from the Universe.

Well, I had two purple plates. They were both in a safe place held together with a rubber band, but one of them just "poofed" away! Strangely, it was the new one with the EIP stamp. The old original is still around.

I've stopped eating red meat in August (still having fish occasionally in the transition) and I feel a big difference. Besides physically, I'm a lot calmer and I've found I even feel more in touch and sympathetic with our animal-friends. A few weeks into it I had no idea how I ever ate meat. Plus there's so many meat substitutes readily available now -
I would say GO FOR IT!

Last week I won a copy of Linda's "Love Poems" on eBay from a seller of rock music items - and strangely when I recieved the package it turns out it's from purpleplates.com.
Between the book itself and perhaps the energy from the plates I get very strong positive energy having this book around.
So I think I'll take it as a sign and finally get one.

Has anyone noticed Purple Plates are now available as charms, in angel shapes or small discs you can wear on a chain?
I'm thinking of ordering one to wear on a chain, I'm just not sure if the hole in the plate with a silver chain thru it will break up any energy, or if they're less effective than normal purple plates (yes, im very neurotic ).
anyone know anything about this?

I carry one purple plate in my purse and I have another one ~a big one~ under my mattress. They both have the EIP stamped on them.

HB...how wonderful about the book. I think you are right, it was a special 'gift' from the UNIVERSE!

Soma...you carry one in your purse too. Very handy for when I need just a 'touch' of energy....and if I'm kidnapped by aliens I have it handy just in case

They are exactly what I need, for the next step of my soul's mission. All I have to do is save money for it and not spend it on material things. I have faith that I will eventually; better sooner than later, but better later than never at all.

What's that saying.....ALL GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT!

It might very well be, but it couldn't hurt to visualize using 'it' surrounded by YELLOW LITE!
