quote:
"i cant speak on everyones behalf.
but i can thunder down a righteous blow of my own hearts truth upon you all! "

This poor horse of a phrase has long been beaten.. but one more time for the clarifying pixie..
I agree that this phrase has power...
but it is a misuse of it.
"I"...... "thunder down"...."righeous blow"..."my truth"..."upon you all"
It indicates a forced intentionally hurtful thing that has merit to only one and not beneficial to anyone else AT all. It seems like a dominating patriarchal, almost biblical in tone, apocolyptic image, designed to not convey passion alone, but a 'rape' of sorts with words. Not a pleasant, passionate debate, but a weapon with words. Admitedly, words can have major power.. seen and demonstrated here a zillion times by a zillion different people every day. See the power of words? I said 'zillion'... In actuality, it is under a hundred.. but it seemed more dramatic to say it that way.

So, by all means, use power with words, but recognize the word "use" as opposed to the word "share".
And expect people to respond to your convictions.. for we don't want to be convicted by them...
My fifty-two cents (and sense)

I think that that the righteous blow line was beautiful it put me in mind of light and love and strength. I appreciated the imagery.

Although, I didn't appreciate the imagery of the "upon you all" because it felt tyrannical but the first part of it was nice. It's okay to want to change the world. I feel what you guys are saying though.

Thanks Silverbells~
But you know all about construction.. It indirectly affects other people and is often inconvenient.... I have all those orange cones in everyone's face, big flashing redirection signs and a LARGE contract with the company.. therefore it takes me a long time to do anything.....

dear knowflakes

there has been plenty of anger and hate in response to my post. it is clear my words will hit the mark no matter the reaction or attempts to resist. since people after all become what they hate and hate is exactly the emotion that has been written in a variety words by alot of you. its totally cool.
its the symbol of eternity. positve and negative feeding into each other creating an all powerful third energy.

its so refreshing to shake the ground up a little bit.
Like storms. the sound of rain dropping on the ground. Thunder blasting itself through the sky. It clears the stagnation in the air. breaks
the routine of summer and the gloom of fall.

there were some that felt the admiration and protective love for Linda Goodman in my message! To those I say "thank you for swallowing me whole with kind words and loving understanding". It is like you that i will become like now for embracing me!

to the ones who were offended!

Twas no hate nor anger in my responses to you, DD.......

I have no feelings towards you whatsoever. Anyone who says the path they walk is more correct, more accurate, or more righteous than any one else's isn't worth an emotional investment from me.

If you perceive discourse on this board that contradicts your views- and thus call it hate- shows apolarized thoughtprocess that neither inspires me to believe your words nor give them heed as thought provoking.

There is no thunder here, no storm of change-
merely air currents.

It's not ridiculous. And I know that you will respond to me because I am getting under your skin. (just kidding DistantD)

Seriously though, it isn't ridiculous.

Ridiculous: such as to excite ridicule or derision; absurd, preposterous or laughable.

It's preposterous for DD to believe that he has inspired hate in anyone here.

It's absurd for him to believe he is inspiring hate, and getting under people's skin in the manner he imagines.

DD isn't interested in an exchange of ideas, or in learning or expanding his own mind or consciousness. He is scornful of nearly every opinion and person here, who differs from him. He's elevating his personal beliefs into universal truths.

It's ridiculous, but I see the ironic humor in it.

I don't mean to be disrespectful silverbells, and certainly everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion.

No matter how much anyone reaches out and tries to engage DD in an exchange, he responds like a megalomaniac, and a somewhat illiterate one at that. It's become absurd to me, and hard to take seriously, especially when I see so many knowflakes who have tried to turn things around in a positive manner.

Ah Well. C'est la vie, c'est la ...

DistantD

This is the way I REACTED when I first found this and similar sites.
I can tell you that I was angry, immature and presumptuous. Yes, I thought I had something to protect. I soon found out that it was nothing more than my own EGO. I was fiercely loyal to something/someone who never needed my help or protection(thank you very much)in the first place. This has been MY experience.

I don't know what YOUR experience has been, or where you have come from. I only hope that you might forgive those that SEEM to disagree you. And please lighten up on folks. No one wants an all-out war, we are all on the same side anyway, right? That's why we are here.

I attempt to avoid that limiting black and white thinking. It only serves to pigeon-hole
my beliefs, thus stunting my growth.

Perhaps, DD, if you presented your ideas/opinions in a positive fashion, other peoples responses wouldn't be heated reactions. Then maybe we could all learn from one another. Building up, not tearing down.

I, for one would like to understand your position on immortality better.
But the fire and brimstone tactics are a turn-off.
Heck, I love playing devil's advocate, as well. To bring the other extreme, the opposite end into view about the same thing. However, tact and diplomacy go very far-unless you want to scare everyone off(that thing I thought I had to protect) and feel NOBLE doing so, so that you are the only one on Linda's side(us against them)and NO ONE could POSSIBLY understand where you are coming from, you poor dear. It's self justified martyrdom. How noble of you. I respect your fire and passion though, however misdirected.

Personally I don't think DD has done anything wrong but believe in his/her own power, it's truly inspiring and I don't think anyone should feel insulted ! This person seems full of passion, firmly rooted into their own heart's truth. I see no negative words, only strength, I'm kind of envious !

DD really stirred things up around here. Not that I'm complaining. I'm always up for a good debate!

No offense taken. We're just people exchanging ideas. It's bound to get a little intense. If ya can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen
