wouldn't being physically immortal mean that you had longer (forever) to work out your karma? and wouldn't that make it easier to deal with?? presuming you have not murdered anyone recently?what does anyone here think about the fact that linda went ahead and died.....did she decide physical immortality was not worth the pain? or what?? That's an interesting thing to ponder, the timing of karma. Gives me something to think about tonight. I wondered the same thing myself about Linda. Everytime I pick up one of her books I think "what happened?" I was raised to believe in immortality (make sure I didn't spell immorality-- ha ha). And I've noticed that people in general don't realize how they program and influence others (unconsciously) by the way they speak of everyday things. Oh how often little messages of aging, dying, sickness, etc. and how it's all so unavoidable! I think you have to consciously reject those thoughts each time or they can gently wear you down without your realizing.IP: Logged |

yes i did my best when my daughter was small to instill the principles in her, BUT she went to SCHOOL where ALL her friends knocked it out of her...now she is 25 and struggling to shed some of her leadfooted beliefs...hard when your child develops a potentially life threatening disorder...but we have coached him in talking himself and his cells back to health...but why did linda check out?? You'll be able to reverse the bad karma by using Christ in your life just confess and say outloud In the name of Jesus i reverse the bad karma and all evil. Continue to say this every day. Yes Jesus died for our sins and it is possible cause with god all things are possible and you should ask for forgiveness of past live Pray to Christ to forgive you for what you done for all past lives sins. For Protection you should pray the following Father in the name of the lord Jesus Christ Protect me from all harm and psychic attacks replenish me and rejuvenate me everyday.IP: Logged |

Gooberz gives some hints at why Linda would want to age and throw off this mortal coil and start anew. Hers was a most challenging life. ------------------ "Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia." Charles Schultz IP: Logged |

well i agree she had a challenging life but all the same she tried to teach us all that physical immortality was not only desirable but achievable. and death does not cancel out karma so why swap one life for another?? it was linda who protested that it was far better to stay with one life than start again from amnesia-point where ignorance colludes to help us create even MORE karma...IP: Logged |

I have made this point before. I don t think Linda is dead. She writes in Starsigns that most immortals decides to disappear, as most of the people on this earth would react in a negative way to an immortal. They are not ready yet to face this truth.IP: Logged |

G'day,What do immortals do when all their friends, who are not immortal, die? It would be an extremely lonely time while waiting for them to be reincarnated. Do immortals hang out with other immortals while their other friends, who aren't immortal, are dead? Do immortals just live their life with no restrictions when their friends, who arent immortal, are dead or do they just pass the time reading? Why would a person want to be immortal? To me, i see this as a too lonely time. I would rather die than have to read while waiting for their reincarnations. Don't get me wrong i love reading but at the moment i seem to be only able to read the newspaper & that gets boring everyday. I would prefer to read books & magazines as well just for a bit of variety. The benefits of immortality, in my opinion, don't outweigh the loneliness. You may argue that, don't mortals also feel lonely at times in their lives? The answer is yes, but most mortals find a partner for life & aren't so lonely. Meanwhile, immortals can only find a partner for a brief time during that mortal's lifetime, then the mortals move on & then the immortal has to prey on another mortal & the cycle continues. Is that the way a person, who's thinking about becoming immortal, would REALLY want to live? Get real. My life is close to immortality & i've been deliberately avoiding it, as my life, at the moment, is lonely enough as it is. I don't want to be immortal for i couldn't stand the loneliness for eternity or, having to lead the "preying" lifestyle of an immortal. catch ya IP: Logged |

There re friends along the way............People come, people go. The only true relationship is with yourself. I ve seen so many lonely mortals.

i don't know if MOST mortals find life partners. many THINK they have, only to lose them...and i would think that achieving immortality would enable one to also achieve a more cosmic perspective on love and friendship and, i'm sure, give you a chance to meet other immortals. anyone here a "highlander" fan? Why wait for someone to reincarnate? Make new friends. And since a Soul can reincarnate at any point in time, you might not have any wait at all. ------------------ "Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia." Charles Schultz IP: Logged |

Actually, the Highlander tv show is what made me want to grow my hair long. I thought Duncan's hair was really cool.------------------ "Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia." Charles Schultz IP: Logged |
