I love this song:OK GO "Oh Lately It's So Quiet" (Oh no) Oh lately it's so quiet in this place You're not 'round every corner (oh no) Oh lately it's so quiet in this place So darlin' if your not here haunting me Im wondering... Whose house, are you haunting tonight? Aw. Whose sheets you twist Aw. Whose face you kiss Whose house, are you haunting tonight? (oh no) I dont think much about you anymore You're not on every whisper, oh (oh no) I dont think much about you But if you're not lurking behind every curtain Im wondering... Whose house, are you haunting tonight? Aw. Whose name you hiss Aw. Whose clenching fists Whose house, are you haunting tonight? Now Whose house, are you haunting tonight? Aw. Who cant resist Aw. Whose cryin' Whose house, are you haunting tonight? Aw. Whose name you hiss Aw. Whose sheets you twist Whose house, are you haunting tonight? http://www.myspace.com/okgo

SHEDAISY "Don't Worry 'Bout A Thing"Ever been misunderstood, misused, or misled Ever knocked on the sky and had it fall on your head well, don't worry 'bout it, don't worry Ever lost your luggage, your marbles, your house Or found yourself in bed with Uncle Sam or Mickey Mouse Ever been accused of murder on Music Row Or caught in morning traffic when you really gotta go - Oh no! [Chorus] Life is funny, life's a mess Sometimes a curse, sometimes a blessing Don't worry 'bout a thing, don't worry 'bout it Life gets sticky, life can bruise Sometimes you win sometimes your losing No matter what it brings Don't worry 'bout a thing Ever sat yourself down when the seat is all wet Or see your "ex" sucking face with a little brunette Don't worry 'bout it, no don't worry Ever lost your religion, ever lost your best friend Or found your last record in the bargain bin Or been stuck in a divorce like crazy glue Or scraped someone else's gum off the bottom of your shoe - Boo hoo! [Repeat Chorus] (Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah - Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, - Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah) Don't worry, don't worry [Bridge:] We all got a little junk in the trunk And when you're feelin' good as sunk Remember, everything will be just fine If I laugh at yours then you'll laugh at mine [Repeat Chorus 2x] (Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah - Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, - Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah) Don't worry, don't worry Life gets sticky, life can bruise Sometimes you win sometimes your losing No matter what it brings Don't worry 'bout a thing (thank you very much) http://www.myspace.com/shedaisy IP: Logged |

i heard this song for the first time today. not usually my type of music. a big twangy. its by a guy named ryan shupe and its called dream on. the lyrics are so beautiful. they realy mean a lot to me right now. just thought id share....When you cry be sure to dry your eyes, cause better days are sure to come. And when you smile be sure to smile wide, and don't let them know that they have won. And when you walk, walk with pride, and don't show the hurt inside, because the pain sill soon be gone. Chorus: And when you dream, dream big, as big as the ocean blue. Cause when you dream it might come true. When you dream, dream big. And when you laugh be sure to laugh out loud, cause it will carry all your cares away. And when you see, see the beauty all around and in yourself, and it will help you feel okay. And when you pray, pray for strength to help to carry on when the troubles come your way. Chorus When you cry be sure to dry your eyes, cause better days are sure to come. And when you smile be sure to smile wide, and don't let them know that they have won. And when you laugh be sure to laugh out loud, cause it will carry all your cares away. And when you see, see the beauty all around and in yourself, and it will help you feel okay. And when you pray, pray for strength to help to carry on when the troubles come your way. dxoigmn**subterranean homesick alien/. The breath of the morning i keep forgetting. The smell of the warm summer air. I live in a town where you can't smell a thing, you watch your feet for cracks in the pavement. Up above aliens hover making home movies for the folks back home, of all these weird creatures who lock up their spirits, drill holes in themselves and live for their secrets. They're all up-tight. I wish that they'd swoop down in a country lane, late at night when im driving. Take me on board their beautiful ship, show me the world as id love to see it. I'd tell all my friends but they'd never believe, they'd think that i'd finally lost it completly. I'd show them the stars and the meaning of life. They'd shut me away. But i'd be alright. I'm just up-tight.**radiohead** IP: Logged |

What is it you want to change? What is it you want? What is it you want to change? What is it you want to change? I was thinking this song I really relate to.Paula Cole, "Me" i am not the person who is singing i am the silent one inside i am not the one who laughs at people's jokes i just pacify their egos i am not my house, my car or my songs they are all just stops along my way i am like winter i'm a dark cold female with a golden ring of wisdom in my cave and it is me who is my enemy me who beats me up me who makes the monsters me who strips my confidence i am carrying my voice i am carrying my heart i am carrying my rhythm i am carrying my prayers but you can't kill my spirit it's old and it is strong like a mountain i go on and on but when my wings are folded the brightly colored moth blends into the dirt, into the ground (chorus) and it's me who's too weak and it's me who's too shy to ask for the thing i love and it's me who's too weak and it's me who's too shy to ask for the thing i love that i love i am walking on the bridge i am over the water and i'm scared as hell but i know there's something better yes i know there's something yes i know, i know, yes i know that i love but it's me and it's me but it's me IP: Logged |

Yesterday my Gemini friend dedicated this to me "Mltr - I'm Gonna Be Around"
It's been so long since we took the time to share words from deep inside us We're in our own world spinning our wheels but you know how I feel
Well since the first time I took your hand my love for you has just been growing You always seem to understand You know how I am Chorus: I'm gonna love you til the end I'm gonna be your very true friend I wanna share your ups and downs I'm gonna be around When you're alone and I'm away don't be sad don't be afraid I'm gonna turn my thoughts to you like I always do Chorus: I'm gonna love you til the end I'm gonna be your very true friend... Catch you when you fall Hold you when you're down Sharing every moment I wanna show you all I do I believe I've found a miracle in you Chorus: I'm gonna love you til the end I'm gonna be your very true friend... i m realy gonna be ur true friend......... theres probably only two of you out there that remembers this... but what the hay AMERICAN PIE Don McLean A long long time ago I can still remember How that music used to make me smile And I knew if I had my chance That I could make those people dance And maybe they'd be happy for a while But February made me shiver With every paper I'd deliver Bad news on the doorstep I couldn't take one more step I can't remember if I cried When I read about his widowed bride But something touched me deep inside The day the music died So... Bye, bye Miss American Pie Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry And good old boys were drinking whiskey and rye Singing this'll be the day that I die This'll be the day that I die Did you write the book of love And do you have faith in God above If the Bible tells you so? Now do you believe in rock and roll? Can music save your mortal soul? And can you teach me how to dance real slow? Well, I know that you're in love with him 'cause I saw you dancing in the gym You both kicked off your shoes Man, I dig those rhythm and blues I was a lonely teenage broncin' buck With a pink carnation and a pickup truck But I knew I was out of luck The day the music died I started singing Bye, bye Miss American Pie Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry And good old boys were drinking whiskey and rye Singing this'll be the day that I die This'll be the day that I die Now, for ten years we've been on our own And moss grows fat on a rolling stone But that's not how it used to be When the Jester sang for the king and queen In a coat he borrowed from James Dean And a voice that came from you and me Oh and while the king was looking down The Jester stole his thorny crown The courtroom was adjourned No verdict was returned And while Lennon read a book on Marx The quartet practiced in the park And we sang dirges in the dark The day the music died We were singing Bye, bye Miss American Pie Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry And good old boys were drinking whiskey and rye Singing this'll be the day that I die This'll be the day that I die Helter skelter in a summer swelter The birds flew off with a fallout shelter Eight miles high and falling fast Landed foul on the grass The players tried for a forward pass With the Jester on the sidelines in a cast Now the half-time air was sweet perfume While sergeants played a marching tune We all got up to dance Oh, but we never got the chance 'Cause the players tried to take the field The marching band refused to yield Do you recall what was revealed The day the music died? We started singing Bye, bye Miss American Pie Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry And good old boys were drinking whiskey and rye Singing this'll be the day that I die This'll be the day that I die Oh, and there we were all in one place A generation lost in space With no time left to start again So come on Jack be nimble, Jack be quick Jack Flash sat on a candlestick 'Cause fire is the devil's only friend And as I watched him on the stage My hands were clenched in fists of rage No angel born in hell Could break that Satan's spell And as the flames climbed high into the night To light the sacrificial rite I saw Satan laughing with delight The day the music died He was singing Bye, bye Miss American Pie Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry And good old boys were drinking whiskey and rye Singing this'll be the day that I die This'll be the day that I die I met a girl who sang the blues And I asked her for some happy news But she just smiled and turned away I went down to the sacred store Where I'd heard the music years before But the man there said the music wouldn't play And in the streets the children screamed The lovers cried, and the poets dreamed But not a word was spoken The church bells all were broken And the three men I admire most The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost They caught the last train for the coast The day the music died And they were singing Bye, bye Miss American Pie Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry And good old boys were drinking whiskey and rye Singing this'll be the day that I die This'll be the day that I die Bye, bye Miss American Pie Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry And good old boys were drinking whiskey and rye Singing this'll be the day that I die This'll be the day that I die IP: Logged |

**AMERICAN PIE Don McLean** hey .. heard that on the radio .. 'bout an hour back .. had me singing along ..then they played this ... *Take it to the Limit* All alone at the end of the of the evening And the bright lights have faded to blue I was thinking 'bout a woman who might have Loved me and I never knew You know I've always been a dreamer (spent my life running 'round) And it's so hard to change (Can't seem to settle down) But the dreams I've seen lately Keep on turning out and burning out And turning out the same So put me on a highway And show me a sign And take it to the limit one more time You can spend all your time making money You can spend all your love making time If it all fell to pieces tomorrow Would you still be mine? And when you're looking for your freedom (Nobody seems to care) And you can't find the door (Can't find it anywhere) When there's nothing to believe in Still you're coming back, you're running back for more So put me on a highway And show me a sign And take it to the limit one more time Take it to the limit Take it to the limit Take it to the limit one more time

.. 'n this one *I Drove All Night* - Roy Orbison I had to escape , The city was sticky and cruel Maybe I should have called you first But I was dying to get to you I was dreaming while I drove The long straight road ahead Uh-huh, yeah Could taste your sweet kisses, your arms open wide This fever for you was just burning me up inside I drove all night to get to you Is that all right? I drove all night, crept in your room Woke you from your sleep to make love to you Is that all right? I drove all night What in this world keeps us from falling apart? No matter where I go I hear the beating of our one heart I think about you when the night is cold and dark Uh-huh, yeah No one can move me the way that you do Nothing erases this feeling between me and you I drove all night to get to you Is that all right? I drove all night, crept in your room Woke you from your sleep to make love to you Is that all right? I drove all night Could taste your sweet kisses, your arms open wide This fever for you was just burning me up inside I drove all night to get to you Is that all right? I drove all night, crept in your room Is that all right? I drove all night

Here's an "old" one...Hello darkness, my old friend I've come to talk with you again Because a vision softly creeping Left its seeds while I was sleeping And the vision that was planted in my brain Still remains Within the sound of silence In restless dreams I walked alone Narrow streets of cobblestone 'Neath the halo of a street lamp I turned my collar to the cold and damp When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light That split the night And touched the sound of silence And in the naked light I saw Ten thousand people, maybe more People talking without speaking People hearing without listening People writing songs that voices never share And no one dared Disturb the sound of silence "Fools", said I, "You do not know Silence like a cancer grows Hear my words that I might teach you Take my arms that I might reach you" But my words, like silent raindrops fell And echoed In the wells of silence And the people bowed and prayed To the neon god they made And the sign flashed out its warning In the words that it was forming And the sign said, "The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls And tenement halls" And whispered in the sounds of silence IP: Logged |

Little Birds - Jeff Mangum, Neutral Milk HotelLittle birds born without a mother or a father I can watch their bodies forming in the running water Now there is another in the middle of my mouth 100 all together within me now Little bird little bird come into my body Mother they're within me every moment I'm awaking Bodies multiplying till they finally overtake me Open up my mouth but all you'll ever hear is singing Put your hands within me and you'll know what I am feeling I just want to swallow up and promise to protect them Daddy come to touch me but he seen his hands are shaking Look into my eyes and he can see their bodies breaking Push me to the floor and then his hands started beating "I don't want to hear it anymore," he kept repeating "Do you really want the burning hell that we believe in?" "Do you know the burning hell it took your baby brother? Did you see how far he fell and how he made us suffer? Another boy in town at night he took him for his lover And deep in sin they held each other. So I took a hammer nearly beat his little brains in Knowing god in heaven would've never could forgive him So I took a hammer and I nearly beat his brains in." Little boy born without a father or a mother Taken to the river and then pushed into the water Now the priest is singing that the hell is getting hotter Father son and holy ghost the only one to save him From the thing he loves the most but we know will betray him Father son and holy ghost the only one to save him From the thing he loves the most but we know will betray him And here beneath the water I can see how the lights distort so strange And I think this is how I would like to leave my body and start again.

Oh Sister - Jeff Mangum, NMHOh sister, don't be afraid of me I won't be nailing you down in the nursery Just like the rest of them did With those watery, wandering fingers of spit That were supposed to be glorious and fine. Oh sister won't you believe in me I only wanted to be hard on your family Here with you now in this silly infirmary Your mother makes frantic and drunk calls From Germany all of the time. Oh sister, sweet brown and beulahery And milk from your blisters on your grandmother's jewelry There in the parlor all naked in front of me Watching the lights from the cracks Making archery animal designs. Rose Wallace Goldeline just moves her mouth over anything Fleshy free and flowering with oranges out in the open But don't you waste your sins again She don't need you or won't **** your friends And you, you're American, so important boiling over To prove that she must still exist she moves herself about her fist and never ever gives a **** about all those words you're wasting against Some pretty bright and bubbly wondrous dream you'd like to kill and clean And claim her as your own But don't you worry All those dainty and dirty emotions just go away and fade out on their own Sister, now that we're grieving Our fingers will falter Our lungs will be leaking All over each other and without even speaking We'll know that it's over and smile and go grieving Whatever comes next And oh sister You're getting married to some angry twister That you'll have to carry home drunk every evening from the cemetery And if he makes it back half alive you can bury him under your sheets And oh sister now that you're leaving I cannot imagine there is any meaning forgetting you ever could once had the feeling that made you keep on And pretend you were breathing of all of this world And in an age of empty rings I don't want to be your fling I don't even want to know you. Rose Wallace Goldeline don't you ever run on me all the way it goes and flows.

ANNA NALICK "Breathe (2 AM)"2 AM and she calls me 'cause I'm still awake, "Can you help me unravel my latest mistake?, I don't love him. Winter just wasn't my season" Yeah we walk through the doors, so accusing their eyes Like they have any right at all to criticize, Hypocrites. You're all here for the very same reason 'Cause you can't jump the track, we're like cars on a cable And life's like an hourglass, glued to the table No one can find the rewind button, girl. So cradle your head in your hands And breathe... just breathe, Oh breathe, just breathe May he turn 21 on the base at Fort Bliss "Just a Day", he said down to the flask in his fist, "Ain't been sober, since maybe October of last year." Here in town you can tell he's been down for a while, But, my God, it's so beautiful when the boy smiles, Wanna hold him. Maybe I'll just sing about it. Cause you can't jump the track, we're like cars on a cable, And life's like an hourglass, glued to the table. No one can find the rewind button, boys, So cradle your head in your hands, And breathe... just breathe, Oh breathe, just breathe There's a light at each end of this tunnel, You shout 'cause you're just as far in as you'll ever be out And these mistakes you've made, you'll just make them again If you only try turning around. 2 AM and I'm still awake, writing a song If I get it all down on paper, it's no longer inside of me, Threatening the life it belongs to And I feel like I'm naked in front of the crowd Cause these words are my diary, screaming out loud And I know that you'll use them, however you want to But you can't jump the track, we're like cars on a cable, And life's like an hourglass, glued to the table No one can find the rewind button now Sing it if you understand. and breathe, just breathe woah breathe, just breathe, Oh breathe, just breathe, Oh breathe, just breathe. T!! Give me "Locomotive Breath" and "Wind Up" As for "Hush" the first (best!! ) version I heard (1968) was from Deep Purple's 'Shades Of' lp..... 'Z PS: From my favorite Scorpio He's a perfect stranger, Like a cross of himself and a fox. He's a feeling arranger And a changer of the ways he talks. He's the unforeseen danger The keeper of the key to the locks. Know when you see him, Nothing can free him. Step aside, open wide, It's the loner. If you see him in the subway, He'll be down at the end of the car. Watching you move Until he knows he knows who you are. When you get off at your station alone, He'll know that you are. Know when you see him, Nothing can free him. Step aside, open wide, It's the loner. There was a woman he knew About a year or so ago. She had something that he needed And he pleaded with her not to go. On the day that she left, He died, but it did not show. Know when you see him, Nothing can free him. Step aside, open wide, It's the loner. IP: Logged | |
