They're too different to compare.Belly piercing doesn't hurt at first... it's the healing process that's the most painful. I've pierced my belly, eyebrow, and tongue. Out of the three, the healing process of the belly was the most painful. Tattoos... depends on where. IP: Logged |

Why would you want to do something like that? Gia

Both I guess. I'm just interested in what made you finally decide that you wanted to punch holes in yourself, especially thinking of you eyebrow. Was it the look that you liked or some other reason? I hope you don't mind me asking I'm just curious. Gia IP: Logged |

Gia Nah. I don't mind you asking. I decided to pierce my belly button and eyebrow for the look. Tongue for the look + other reasons I took out the eyebrow ring because I'm thinking about getting my upper lip done... The Monroe piercing. I haven't totally decided on it though... it can rub on your gums and cause tooth issues like the labret. Pisces-girly I've had my belly pierced for almost 9 years now. It doesn't hurt too much. The healing process is a bit painful and sometimes a little gross. You've got to clean it twice a day for 6 MONTHS or it WILL (I promise you) get infected. It's pretty sore for about 10 days ... then it's fine. Although, sometimes your menstrual cycle will create some irritation from time to time. They say that's true for nipples too. I don't know... haven't gone there IP: Logged |

OKay, i'm not trying to get you to do this, but this is my experience.*by the way tha fishies rule. GO fishies go!* I pierced my own belly button. Not intoxicated. LOL. I didn't feel any pain what so ever. I have pierced it 2 times. The first time I pierced it, it was fine for a week. Then one of my friends said OMG IF YOU DONT CLEAN IT WILL GET TOTALLY INFECTED!!! So off I started cleaning it. Big mistake... It got really really infected and I had to take it out due to the fact I compete in martial arts tournaments, I had one comming up and I was probably going to get hit in the stomach. It scared up. I got so sick of seeing scar that i repierced it. Felt nothing again. This time i didn't cean it I just left it alone. It didn't get infected and hides that **** scar. My friend got hers done professionally and said it really hurt,. another also got hers done professionally and said it didn't hurt at all. It seems to be an individual thing. *And you really should clean it. For some reason my body is wierd and rejected that process. My body works better when I leave wounds alone? I had the same problem with my ears. Anyway see ya! IP: Logged |

No matter what anyone else tells you, if you're gonna get pierced, see a professional piercer and follow their instructions exactly.IP: Logged |

Exactly. No matta what anyone says, get it done professional and follow instructions. They definetly know best.As for the martial arts. It shouldn't be a problem. It wont hurt unless someone touches it or punches you in the stomach. In my style of martial arts, the stomach is the place you had to aim for, and I was competing in a tournament in a week, where we would be aiming for the stomach, so it definetly was going to be a problem. What type of martial arts are you learning? Martial arts is my passion, so I would be very glad to exchange information on your experiences, if your up for it? IP: Logged |

well, if you are considering getting your lower back tatoo'd and have a low tolerance to pain, you may want to look into henna tatooes (my recommendation, lol) My oldest daughter decided that she was old enough and smart enough to get one on her lower back, some big ol' gawd awful lillies. I learned of it on a Thanksgiving day, a day I will always remember, I went bizzerko. Anyways, I was very happy to learn that it was extremely painful. Professionals often use a "hollow" needle to pierce with. I just got my tricus? traecus? pierced and my daughter said that he should of used a hollow needle instead of "the gun" I guess nodules can form with the gun method, whereas it is not as common with a hollow needle. BTW, the tricus? traecus? is the nobby part of your ear. (I am probably WAY off on the spelling) My advice, tatoos are with you for a lifetime, artwork belongs in books and on walls. I understand tatoo removal is becoming a big thing, as we all knew it would, and that they are having much success with it, however, it is extremely expensive. What may appeal to you at this time in your life, a cute tatoo, wherever you choose to apply it more than likely will become a burden to you in the next few years. Our styles, likes and dislikes change.......gee, I remember earthy toned mushrooms, trolls and butterflies being big in the eighties, gosh, sure glad I didn't tatoo that on my ankle. See what I'm say'in? You surely don't want regrets. IP: Logged |
