Thorshammer......thanx for sharing the pictures.....guess I'll be redundant and parrot Philbird...."HUBBA! HUBBA!"Hey...I like John Denver too, but I thought it was just cuz I'm an "oldie!" I just came from our annual tribal pow wow, Thorshammer, and we had some "black" Native Americans dancing, and I don't think anyone was rude to them (altho I think I can understand your aprehension about doing the same)But ya gotta take risks sometime....go dance and hold your head up high! We also have "white" Native American dancers and I think at first white looking Native Americans got a little flack from some of the darker ones....but nowadays, we know that the blood is all mixed, so if someone is dancing in the circle...we just figure they must have Native American blood...or spirit.... Love, Rainbow Ps...my dad was full blood Indian, and my mom was white....so us kids all came out differently....I have one sister very dark with pitch black hair....one sister very light with blonde hair...I'm olive complexion with dark brown/black hair and have a brother that is about the same as me except for lighter hair...

Hope you're able to get to a pow wow....and thanks for the compliments on my granddaughter....I just got some new pics of her and she has really changed.... To post? Or not to post? That is the question....*sigh* Love, Rainbow IP: Logged |

DUHHHH, i got caught by Leoelf....well she changed her name...so there..lol. Actually Rainbow, I went to O.K city in 92, my friends thought i was crazy...i saw it in the chicago tribune. and i bought a plane ticket and was gone. i had to stay in a shabby motel, and I bought a picture from a native brother, he was younger than me and i was like 23 or so. it was a picture of a native with the american flag in the background and blood running down..acrylic. he said it was for all the native americans that died in the wars... OKlahoma city was cool, but a lot of homeless and that freaked me out, cause i had never seen so many people sleeping outside. but it was hot as heck! i missed the pow wow, because i didnt have money for it. i was like broke to the bone. I thought the airport would be right in the city, but it was way out, so i had to pay 25 dollars to get there, and make sure i had that to get home. so that was my pow wow money...well i got a nice picture though. i cant believe i forgot that trip..but it was a while ago, and all the LSD i did, may skip my memory once in a while...lol families are great arent they. Philbird..the passion by Peter gabriel is one of my favorite cds, the movie too, really makes me cry when Dafoe is out in the battle at the end, and says to GOD" can you forgive a stubborn son, I didnt want to be your son, I didnt want to be the messiah.....now i do, take me home, i want to be the messiah, i want to be your son....I want to be crucified!!!!" that was really a powerful part. marcia...I'll hook you up when i get home baby....make sure my dinna is on the table!!! LOL..i am so funny sometimes....heheheh IP: Logged |

Hi Rainbow- you can send some more pics if you like- I think she's absolutely stunning-if only we were all as physically beautiful as her! I was wondering whether you would like me to post some pics of me and my boy? So, do you think many natives dislike whites? LEOELF- good to see you've cheered up since last time! It's sad when people don't get on. I'm an extremely sensitive person myself, so I know what it feels like! Healing vibrations! BTW, I hope you don't mind me chit-chatting with your Thor?! I didn't know you guys were in love! I just get amazed when anybody listens to my waffle, that's all! I love waffle. Feel free to waffle to me, anytime! Take care, chick!
P.S. Leoelf, I've just been back to that old thread (Gooberzlostlovefound) where we accused you of being a flirt! There was something funny I thought of after, which I forgot to post: 'Marcia, you intergalactic hussy!' (The simpsons) Thanks for the compliment! I'm really curious now- why did you think I'm an 'oldie?' (Chessy grin) IP: Logged |

Sorry to hear about that, leoelf. You deserve better than there. There IS light at the end of the tunnel. Keep the faith now, let your wounds heal...and the dawn WILL come! I wasn't going to post a picture here, but the others did...Had to point out that we're only in 'Earthly Body-Temples'!! I thinks it's nice to get to know someone without the pre-judgemental view our our physical reality gives us. We are able to do that here, but not in 'real life'. Anyway, isn't my son adorable?! See why I hate saying 'no' to him?! Like I said, he's a beautiful soul too- and already he follows some of the wisest teachings, like walking in other people's shoes! That he does all the time- and everyone's shoes! LMAO!!!! He's a Libra. LOve, Light and Blessings to you all IP: Logged |

LostinStrangeWorld..........thank you so much for posting the picture of you and your handsome son.....Yes! He IS adorabale....What a little doll! And he has a very pretty mummy too....Now..... I was going to tell you about my affinity for England... For as long as I can remember, I've had a fascination for England...gobbled up the works of Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, the Bronte Sisters, George Eliot.....not to mention Victoria Holt....so in a sense I've "lived" in England thru those books......also read a couple books written by Sybil Leek one of England's fameous wiccans....she was also an astrologer....and then read a couple books on Anne Bolyne and her misfortune having wed the wicked Henry VIII...... Something about England has always drawn me, and now I'm wondering if it's because of English Ancestors....(and of course I'm sure I've lived a past life or two there)...... A relative did some geneology on my mom's family and learned that they were all from England....on both her mother side and father's side. All I knew prior to that, was that my great-grandfather was born in Lincolnshire, England. Anyway, So I probably have the same feelings for an England past, as you do of Native Americans past.... As soon as I am able, I'll post Tianna's latest pictures.... Love, Rainbow IP: Logged |

Rainbow, although I haven't read an awful lot of the classic literature, I do think Charles Dickens is awesome-must read some more! My father named me after someone in one of his novels! Very victorian! I have read 'The Mill on the Floss' by George Elliot, and although it was a bit hard (lots of big words to look up), it left me very much in awe of her mind. Wow! George Elliot is such a deep thinker! And rather spiritual too.I've not read any Jane Austen (shame on me!), but Bath is very near where I live and I have been to the Jane Austen museum! (I know you will be jealous of that- hee-hee!). I like Bath. Geneology is fascinating. My mother is into all that. LOve IP: Logged |

My great-great-great grandmother was a Cherokee Indian. That's about as Native American Soul -ish as I get. Haha, when I was little, I was chunky, and people always used to call me a "chink". My eyes slanted outwards more than they normally would, and I looked like I was Chinese. Hahahaha, when I got older, and started growing into my weight, everyone always started asking me stuff like "Where the fxck do you come from?!" hahahaha I have the facial features of a Native American, but I have blondish/brown hair, and pale skin. I blame my German/Danish/Irish/Scottish roots on that. I look completely different from everyone else in my family. My mother's side has all had brown hair and blue eyes, with tan skin, and my father's side also has the dark skin and hair, but with brown eyes. Not sure where the blond comes in. Yay for recessive genes? :-P IP: Logged |
