LibraSparkle- your girls are such cutie patooties. I love the second and third picture and the halloween outfits are so cute. How old are they?

SunChild-you have a lot of different looks! Got some pisces somewhere in your chart?

Good name from an excellent song Battle of Evermore! Have the boxed set? Right now I'm really getting into the Rolling Stones album, 'Exile On Main Street'.

What song are you playing in that one picture? Fingerpicking...I'm trying to get through 'Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You', and transitioning between barre chords in that song is pretty hard on me.

Anyways, later.

crystelle~ I don't have any pisces in my chart. It's really easy to change the way I look, even with just a new hair cut people sometimes don't recognise me. And I don't do it intentionally either. I have a Gemini rising btw.

thanks aqua

Hey Whalewasp! LOL, acctually was playing "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You".
It doesn't look like it though... I think I was in the middle of a chord change.
Don't have the box set
I only own Led Zeppelin II, and IV at the moment...that really sucks, because I'm missing out on all of those other great songs...'Tangerine', 'Gallows Pole', 'the Ocean', etc.
The Rolling Stones rock BTW!
I just learned 'You Can't Always Get What You Want' pretty recently.

Ha! Talk about coincidence Evermore! I've been working on 'Babe' for almost two years...I just pick up my discount guitar and go through it whenever, an exercise in futility I guess. One of the first riffs I ever learned was 'Black Dog', though getting the 7/8 timing is tricky.

I believe I'll post a few pics also...

Oh, Black Dog, that's a kool riff. I never really got past the intro on that one though...didn't try too hard, but I will one day. The first riff I ever learned was first one in 'walk this way', kewl stuff.

I like the Stones song, "Angie" actually first time i heard that song, EVER, was while on vacation in France, in a local friends bar on Beaujolais of 2002. I was sitting in there with my friends and this guy comes up and starts making small talk with me. Where were drinking pretty heaviliy by this time. When he asks my name, i reply with Angie. He busts out singing the Stones song along with a quesiton of whether or not i have heard that song. By now, i'm a lil So he begins to sing it again, only this time a lil louder and then some one else jumped in, then another, and another. Next thing ya know the whole bar was singing this song, and all eyes were on me. Needless to say i was very flattered, yet extremely embarassed. LOL.

oka, sorry, you can go back to what you were talking about....

I don't care what people say, but bars can be terrific places can't they angel? That was a cool story! For me there's nothing like a nice, low light, quiet bar on a summer afternoon with some tunes playing on the jukebox, and a mug of Fat Tire ale in the other, talking about everything with everyone else.

Evermore, I bought a guitar mag with the music to my fav Jimmy Page piece, Bron Yr Aur. Interesting, tune to an open C, and use the same 'rolling fingers' action used on 'Babe'.

Whalewasp - Yes!! i'd have to agree. I tend to like the lil hole in the wall local bars for a hang out spot.(just like the spot you described) The rough & roudy, I try to stay away from. But on occasion i do go for a visit.

EIDT: I did manage to add some new pics to my folder last night!! ... cars, animals, living space & family.

Yea I can do that Evermore. Just give me a little time, because I'll have to cut the pages out to get a good scan.
I have a hollow body I bought discount. With a hollow body I can play acoustic/electric anytime I feel like playing them. I'm wondering if you could give me some tips on how to get that 'watery' sound Kurt Cobain used on 'Come As You Are', one of my fav Nirvana songs. It's a reverb of some type isn't it?

Oh thanks, that's very nice of you, but you don't have to cut it out if you don't want to mess up the magazine.

I think Kurt is using, Chorus, and, or Reverb, and it sounds like a phaser.

Yeah, it's definitely an effects pedal. There are so many available, I'd check musiciansfriend.com.

Hey thanks Evermore. It's amazing what the years do to a person. LOL Now I'm tattoed, pierced, drink booze and smoke...cigarettes. Ok, maybe a little more than cigarettes. I think that was taken in 1982 by one of my visiting German aunts.
Acoustic, yea I had long hair, but I cut it all off about 2 months ago. I just got tired of it. Yea, I deleted all the photos, so maybe I'll post one.
