Thanks Harpyr! Tink is WAY preggers, I am only a bit... maybe only us scorpio chicks are having babies right now?Your little 'Azalea' is such a lovely name... How was your recent wedding????? Zala, I've got you down for boy officially.. cool! Hubby and I were laughing about names... when asked, we'd deadpan... If it's a boy, we're going with 'Shrek' if it's a girl, 'Fiona'. Just to see if they'd believe us. Ultrasound booked for next friday, wish my bladder luck! It's too early to find out the gender, this is just for dating purposes, and wellness-check. IP: Logged |

Awww, thanks so much for asking...* you'll regret you did, cuz I haven't really talked much about it, so here I go!!!! Well... I am feeling like a have a mild cold. I never really got morning sickness before, though a general feeling of malaise. But especially the last few days, I feel nauseous. I was 'sick' when I missed my period, and I am still 'sick' off and on.. I feel weak, my blood pressure's low... if I get up too fast, I get stretching cramps in my lower abdomen ( like a running cramp, I'm not worried about baby) and I feel dizzy.. I am exhausted... Yet I am joyous! I know all those things sound pretty blech, but because of the pregnancy, they have a reason, and they make me happy! Just typical things. I can't wait for my scan to assure me things are good. But protein and glucose were fine at Dr's... OH! And I can't stop eating. ( but I have only gained a pound, thank God!) I swear, I am constantly eating... ( healthy stuff, mostly) but it's like I have this ache in my stomach, a hunger ache.. and I will think I have just eaten, and this is just unreasonable.... but I am actually hungry, and I know if I don't have a snack I will get dizzy..... Pregnancy is ~unreasonable~ with the demands you feel on your body.. the body you know so well just changes the rules to accomodate a visitor.. your body is the ultimate hostess! ( except this visitor doesn't bring you a bottle of wine or chocolates) I love being pregnant, I can't wait til I get past the exhaustion, bloating, unreasonable stage, and into the joyous-happy-glowy-baby-visible stage. Soooooooooooon!!!!! Thanks again for asking. IP: Logged |

Can't sleep at all. Thought I'd make a selfish bump, as this is always on my silly mind now.If you are wondering, I saw the baby on Ultrasound last week. It was wonderful.. It felt so real and official to see the little heart beating, and to go from potential to actuality.... it doesn't matter how many symptoms you have or how many tests you've done, once you've SEEN it, it becomes real. Nine weeks along now. When I start looking preggers, maybe I'll post a pic.. we'll see how 'fat' i get.. although it's my job right now to eat healthily and not worry about weight gain. But that doesn't mean it is an excuse to eat.. although right now, I seriously NEED to. If I don't have a meal/snack for a while, I get nauseous. A man had the nerve to ask me if it was 'psychological'.. my eating... I tried not to be offended and to defend my natural pregnant urges, while pointing out the gall it takes to imply something like this when there is no way you have the capacity to even entertain the thought of these emotions and physiological needs, and the increase in blood volume and hormones and necessity for extra calories.. your body is literally different. AAAAAAANNNNNnyway..... I explained that no, It was not 'psychological', I was *actually* hungry quite a lot, naturally, not to have an excuse to 'pork up' or eat for two like you friggin think I want to lose an extra twenty pounds once I deliver? Oh, *ahem* I did it again. Must control myself. Moral of the story. If a woman is pregnant, and you inquire as to her state, don't expect it to be pretty. The most reasonable girl, under normal circumstances, does not want to explain *anything* to a close minded person who already thinks they know the answer and is just asking for a chance to flex their suppositions based upon sitcoms. It's all for good reason. Okay, so anyway.. things are great! I am super happy, as you see.

hey sweetie! glad to hear everything is as it should be, movin right along what a rude clueless man i noticed that with my fourth pg, i HAD to eat all the time too.instead of getting hungry i would get nausated and my stomach would burn a little.so i had to keep a lil something in it to keep from feelin sick. so i totally understand............ your burning more calories and building a whole new body in there , so you better be eating! my sister in law had a family member tell her she needed to go on a DIET while she was pg with TWINS!!!!!!!!oh that ****** me off. on the bright side............. they just turned one,are beautiful healthy boys and she looks gorgeous!

Tell the next one that he should think about eating more... Because that would mean that he would have to speak LESS.I don't think I ate a ton more, but I know I exercised a LOT less. Pregnancy at 31 was hard on my body. It was exausting physically and emotionally. So was breastfeeding and so is being a divorced single mom. But I keep trying You are doing fine. IP: Logged |

Pixie, I'm also thinking girl. Judging from some of these other posts, maybe it's a Saturn return thing after all??? I didn't realize all your kiddies were six years apart. That will be the age difference between my son and this one. I think it's fantastic! IP: Logged |

*thanks HD!!!*F-U! I like the six year apart thing... my son and daughter are closer than you'd think.. and it was sweet when they were lots younger, the pride and genuine playing.. they got along great! Plus, the older one is helpful during that baby stage... "Can you please pass mommy that blanket?/Get mommy a drink" ( for when you are nursing and can't really get around.) So helpful, and less resentment, or regression because the older child understands. Hopefully the trend will continue, I know I'll have a little mommy in my daughter.... it will be so interesting to see the dynamic. I know also that a new baby any earlier than this wouldn't have been a good thing for my daughter.. we have an interesting relationship. Best of luck and love! IP: Logged |

Awwwwww, well Thanks, Pidaua!!!!!Hey you had some pretty awesome things happen yourself this summer! Yeah, I am twelve weeks along now. The sickness feeling has pretty much left me, so soon I can enjoy this more. I met with someone today, and she was like "Wow, you're showing!!!!" I can see that I am, and I have been wearing discreet maternity clothes.( nothing stupid or frilly or pleated. Just jeans and stretchy shirts/peasant blouses) But I think strangers mostly think I am just chubby in the middle. ( My hubby says I still look great) He can totally tell though. I showed pretty quickly, and even before I was 'technically' showing, I couldn't have anything tight on my belly, it was too uncomfortable. It'll get bigger in the next few weeks, as I enter the second trimester. Thanks for bumping this though, it was nice to read again! Thanks for the Congrats!

quote: yeh..A half inch growth shows so much???LMAOhehe..I was just informed..it's not even a half an inch yet..LMAO even more. ... Congratulations. ...
Okay I apologize..but Come On..really?
You're really coming on my thread about my pregnancy to disparage me and my growth, as if I am lying about the fact that I am 'growing' because I am carrying a baby? And you dare say "I apologize" when you really don't and are simply trying to antagonize me? Yes, I should really have to explain to you that my growing baby is changing my body. and that yes, my two inch or so baby.. ( Hi.. let's have an anatomy lesson, shall we? We can talk about the Uterus, where the baby sits..... and it's astounding growth during gestation.) While we are at it, I will just tell you and then you can pass it on to every person who thinks it is okay to comment on anyone who is having a baby and the ways it is 'not right', when they are doing something unique to them. EVERYONE is different. This is my third child. My uterus is responding to the hormones ( Progesterone and Estrogen) and saying.. "Oh yeah!!!! I remember this!" So no matter how 'skinny' I am on the outside, pre-pregnancy, it goes 'aha, okay, let's grow!' Do I have to defend the fact that I am showing at twelve weeks? That is almost second trimester, chica.... you're supposed to show about now, especially so if you'd already done it before. Your 'sources' are wrong as usual. I am in my third month. If my baby 'wasn't even half an inch', I'd be in for trouble. My Uterus right now is about the size of a melon.. Go ahead and swallow a whole melon, and tell me if you can see it? Oh! And my blood volume has increased.. don't even make me go into the swelling and the water retention and the other 'happy fun things' happening to your body in preparation for a birth. Go find some real sources and websites for information. Because honey.... you don't want to argue with a hormonal woman. Not now. Not about something of which you know nothing.. namely.. my body and my right to 'gestate' any friggin' way my body wants to without having to answer to anyone. YES. Thinner women show earlier. depending on body type, on how many children you've had, etc.... the variances are wide and far and unless you've got something valid to add, I suggest you step the Hell off of my thread. Unless you have something nice, or hell, I'll even take 'normal' to say... Go work your 60 hours, freakazoid. And pay less attention to your issue with anyone going through happy times, because you are so friggin' jaded and sad and small minded. ( My sources tell me this) We need more anger emoticons here. IP: Logged |

Oh, and thanks again Rainbow. * seethes still at the gall of some friggin' people who even call themselves human yet frequently prove themselves more like predictable sheep and very silly small psychopaths who prove with every utterance how unfit they are to be sharing this world with reasonably capable human beings who give others the benefit of the doubt yet constantly realize it is pointless because it will just disappoint you time and again because small minds are just that.. they don't know how to grow, only make other things smaller to make themselves feel bigger.* *sigh* Not directed at you, Rainbow, but you know this. Hi! Pix, Please don't let that ridiculas post upset you! You need to stay calm and focused on your little bundle. I didn't show right away with my first, but with my second I showed very early. I also had a problem with anything tight almost immediately. Hugs to you! Char

Lotus, I'm really disappointed in your post... Pix doesn't need any added stress at a time like this, you should "truly" apologize for that post. Your facts were wrong, her baby is about 3 inches long and with her growing uterus many women start showing at that stage. This should be a "joyous thread", one that Pix can show her child when he/she is old enough. ------------------ May the angel of your higher s-elf, guide you always. IP: Logged | |
