I'm in the hospital in Peoria now. They diagnosed Viral Enchephalitis finally, but they still aren't sure. I need Dr. House!
My hospital is St. Francis. St. Francis has a really nice prayer. I will post it for you next time. I will try to remember to bring it to the computer but my my memory is still a couple percentage points slow, I think!  
Will you write or copy/share some of your inspirational magic on health and healing and positive thinking? Hearing your "voice" would be nice enough, but I'm sure some divine inspiration will flow through you and tell me what I need to hear.  I've had 4 MRI's, an angiogram, a CT Scan, 4 Lumbar Puctures (spinal taps) and around 100 needle sticks for blood, I.V.'s, and various shots. I started to cry last night and refused more blood sticks for about 20 minutes because I couldn't take any more. I'm losing my strength and faith, Steve. Please help.

MysticMelody..I can't tell you how..because it's different for each person..but you must find a place..within..to your Mind..so Heart to
Mind..to higherSelf to OverSoul..
and this place is where you focus..
take in the Healing Light..and LOve..
from God..feel it..absorb it.. I know when we are low..it is very hard
to stay positive and focus..on the good
for there is good and bad in everything
everything happens for a reason..but you
can help the outcome..
by digging deep within..
Are there any plants in your room? Can you look outside..and see nature? I am Sending LOts of LOve and LIght to you..

Spinal taps, ouch! Not much fun, to be sure. My mother works in the health industry,
and I asked her about the stuff you told me.
My mom almost never says anything metaphysical,
but she said its very important,
especially in the case of viral infections,
to keep a positive outlook.
Studies show that the mind/body connection is especially important.
The good news is, your thoughts have a ton of power

MM, thank goodness you are able to contact us now, we've been worried -- Nephthys was especially on the lookout for you. I like this picture and thought the sentiment was nice. Moon Child, thank you for the support. I felt much better yesterday and I am feeling better today (even through all the tears that are pouring down my face here in this public hallway with the "vistor" computer in it). Your comments remind me of times I have been more postive and everyone's comments are getting through this dark haze. LotusHeart, I must admit that many times I read your words: "heart to mind, to HigherSelf, to OverSoul" and I let it flow by me like the wind without fully taking it in. I took it in today, pretty flower, and I thank you.
I want to help the outcome. I have one carnation in a blue plastic bottle with balloons tied to it. A lovely garden with butterflies and flowing grasses that says "Get Well Soon", a bright and happy yellow smilie face and a warm, deep red heart on long pretty ribbons that flop and bop into each other in the wind. I keep my windows open as often as possible on these sunny midwestern end of summer, beginning of fall days and the air is warm and sweet. This town is filled with churches and church towers (couldn't spell "steeple?") and deep, rich bells ring at certain hours.
There is a river in the distance. Many often comment that I have the best view, so I am blessed.
Your warm comments mean a lot to me. Thank you!

Lia, Thank you for telling me of your thoughts. You have so many pure and warm thoughts that I am not surprised, but it really does my heart good to hear your well wishes and prayers to me. I was hoping to see a few comments from my favorite LL people here today and not only was I not disappointed, I was blessed. All of my favorites (except AG and DF, I'll probably see AG on another thread, I hope! )and a couple new pretty names like Pixie Dust and Blue Moon.
I have thought about "touching in" with all of you before this, but I hear that pressure on my brain was causing behavoir "not like" myself toward the beginning of this "adventure" a few weeks ago. I couldn't really function normally and seemed to be having some brief and interesting delusions.
I really appreciate your prayers.

I had thought about how much it would cheer me up just to know that a few of you wonderful people had missed me at all, but I hadn't thought of the additional and SUPER WOW benefit of having some of the worlds most powerfully minded people praying for me. Steve, I loved your reply and want to give it the reply it deserves. My swarm of doctors and residents are going to be at my room "around" 11am and it is 11:07 now... oops. So I better get back.
I do want to say that you are very right about relieving the toxins and that during my hospital stay I also contracted a urinary track infections due to catheters they used when I first arrived weeks ago when I was out of my mind sick and now costipation due to the 10 pills a day or so. I TOTALLY agree with you that this causes extra fatigue and I know it it a toxin to my body. I have though of it many times.
My doctors just walked up to me and chatted so I don't have to go back for a few more minutes.
Hmm.. what else then?
When I go home, the first thing I will do is stop by the video store to get "The Secret" and the most Aquarian movie EVER.  "Me and You and Everyone We Know" and I know I will fall totally in love with it. And it will cheer me up and I will feel like my friend Steve is hanging out on the couch keeping me company upon my arrival home.
OK, what your mom said: I am going to follow this advice as much as I possibly can. It makes perfect sense. Viruses are classis "dis-ease" in material form. I will try. Tell her thank you. Ok, I'm sure I'm reaching my smilie alotment for the post. More later for you and for all of the other wonderful people who posted below your post. I want to answer them right now but my eyes are tired (still seeing double a little, my friends) and the docs might still have some comments. My family is calling to hear what the docs had to say. I will talk to you all soon. The fact that you are all here means SO MUCH to me. It fills my heart and spirit.

I looked up your illness too.
I read of the pressure on the brain, so I feel a better understanding now of what you described going through. Times like these, alone in hospital rooms are among the most transformative, thought provoking times. Especially in the quiet at night, with the muffled rustling sounds of nurses making their rounds. The soft hums of the machines. There's almost a comfort in it. Even if a bit lonely at times, there is a strange unexpected comfort too? (I've spent quite a bit of time in hospitals myself ). I have a feeling (or is it my hope? which is stronger? ) that this time will be a blessing in disguise for you. That you'll emerge in that midday sun sometime soon, even if trembling a little weak yet, with a newfound inner strength and cherish of beauty that will carry onwards with you in magical new ways.
It must be difficult being apart from your daughter. And so wonderful and treasured the time she spends with you. Thanks for the kind things you wrote. IP: Logged |
