Pixie, I am so happy for you and family.
Elliot is scrumptious...I swear I can almost smell him!! He looks like such a boy too and has a strong chart.

Your little girl looks like a lil mama, it's the cutest watching children hold babies. They are so genuine with thier feelings. Great pictures. You look lovely and angelic too. You do not look any different. Just happier.

Awwwwwwwww.. a moment to myself.
Lately my internet connection has been lagging, and I don't have time to fix it, or play around, so I haven't been on ( not that I have the time)

Elliot is still perfect and doing his job beautifully.
I just adore him so much. I can't wait until he responds more. I said I couldn't wait until he loved me, rather than just needing me... there is a distinction.. when they look at you with adoration and laughter...
But there are always those milestones you have to personally meet.
First it was the birth, now it is the birth of personality.
Always something to reach toward.
I am feeling very happy lately.
Thanks.

I read through the comments, and there are so many I want to respond to... but I think my time is running out.
Love to all.

thanks again!
i'm back today, but typing one handed

i have mastitis....if you've ever heard of it, be happy you've never had it.

i don't know why i successfully nursed my other two children well and long term, but this time, i've had a clogged duct twice since he was born, in the same breast, and now, since thursday, i've had flu like symptoms.. weakness, chills then fever, aches, head pain, and the sorest breast you've ever known, that i must use frequently to prevent more blockage and hopefully clear the existing one.

i certainly would never want to turn people against potential nursing in the future, as i've had nothing but positive experiences with all my kids, and they've never had a drop of formula, but i have nver had these issues in my life, wow, its humbling.
anyway, so i am recovering.
but still quite sick.

the good thing is that my older son takes good care of his sister while i am knocked out in pain, and the baby likes nothing more than to lay with me all day, nursing and getting my body heat from my fever... so it works out somehow.

i check in from time to time but not often enough, especially not lately.. but things are good other than the mastitis. before that happened, it was still all about him.

he stares at me and moving things more, he tries to talk a bit, but i have to encourage him... he doesn't see to want to coo much. only when i do it first. he also doesn't cry much, so thats okay.
he has a case of baby acne, poor fella, but its getting a tad less angry now.
not much to report.. hes a strong guy, always has been.. has the motor function and neck muscles and control of a bigger baby for sure. he'll stand up on our laps as we hold his hands. hes still a four week old, not a huge developmental thing, i suspect in the next week or two, we'll see more from him, personality wise.. he's finding it, i can tell.

thanks for asking

pixel thank you for checking in with us. please continue to apply moist heat to your breasts. i had this issue too with my first baby. it is worse than child birth, you cringe when your baby latches. what worked for me was continually draining the breast. do you have a pump? and also sitting in hot shower or bath..steam is best. there are things like venitian violet that is supposed to work but i never tried it.

ohhh sweetness...i feel for you.

i sensed something was wrong also. a close friend who shares a birthday with you has been terribly ill and fighting so hard. had appendectomy and has had serious complications with it.

~GET WELLLLLLL VIBES~

and Mustella is great for preventing cradle cap and infant acne. My girls never had either and I swear its the products!!

Awwwww, pix- that sucks. This cannot be pleasant. Although I have never had mastitis myself, I do have a reference point for it- which, ummm, I am not going to talk about.

(suffice to say, I grew up on a farm!!)

Its nice to hear that Elliot is growing well and strong. Please know that you are missed much and loved. I wish I had your courage, to bring life into the world. You have such a beautiful family.

I had a blocked milk duct when I stopped nursing. It was very painful. Know that you will feel better very soon, Sweetie. Blessing to you and yours.

Hello lovelies!
I had a moment to type with two hands, so I took it!
We're doing well. Still nursing up a storm, only with no pain. I still cringe when he latches on briefly on the one side, but it's nothing compared to how it was.

Just goes to show you..
NEVER become complacent.
Never assume
never take for granted.
I nursed my other children for years, never a problem... this time? Ouch.
This has been a humbling experience.
I'm still ready for him to love me already.. I want him to talk to me and laugh and coo. Right now, I get the occasional sound that isn't a cry.. but we're not quite there yet on the mommy/baby conversations.
He's such a wonderful infant though. I love him so much.

Thanks for the love and tips and experiences. It has been hard lately, but we got through it.
