In fact, I doubt there exists a person in this world who practices fully what they preach, and, if they do, they are probably preaching something less than the highest truth. We speak of ideals, because ideals are high truths, but can any of us be expected to fullfill every jot of the law? It is easier said than done. But to speak truth and goodness is to perform a kind of virtuous action. How many people have been touched and shaped by the words of the prophets, whom they have never seen perform a single deed? So, I think the least we can do is speak the truth, and we ought not to discourage one another from speaking the highest truth, simply because we cannot always perform it perfectly. Nelly, “moderation” is NOT meant to entail censorship. But if people here insist on hurling personal insults at each other, that is NOT DISCUSSION.
