I agree BR. The first paragraph was good, but beyond that was questionable. IP: Logged |

I guess you were wrong HSC, instead the webmaster just cursed at me. MM basically told everyone to stop flinging poo, then she proceeded to fling some poo.
I point out the hypocrisy there and the webmaster tells me to "STFU." I thought cursing and such language weren't allowed here? I guess that doesn't apply to moderators. IP: Logged |

Randall said: quote: As far as the moderating the Mods go, I make those decisions. What one person views as corrupt, another may view as liberation
Yes, but if peace/ liberation means the lion gobbles up the lamb as it were, then that is not the kind of peace/ liberation I want. IP: Logged |

At least he didnt insult you and call you a name.He could have called you a "baby". Instead, he just told you to pull your pants up and take your thumb out of your mouth. Its an analogy, dont you know. It just means you are a baby. Its not an insult. Jeez. Some people are so touchy. IP: Logged |

BR,
Maybe you need to STFU? No, no, thats immature. Pretend I didnt just say that. IP: Logged |

"As a Ram, Linda had a fiery passion for her beliefs, and we do encourage others here to do likewise. There will be no censorship here, and freedom of expression and speech rules supreme, but please be courteous and respectful of others while doing so." It looks like this will have to be changed to something like:
"The mods and webmaster are allowed to insult you and curse at you, but you must maintain a respectful and polite demeanor or straight to the guillotine with you!"

(posted in the apologies thread...thought it appropriate here also.)the thing about Randall is..... here's my story ~ if there's anyone Randall could hold a bias against, it is i. i registered at this site in 2001, made some posts, and then registered at Gregory's site (loved him very much). at that time Randall was an active member there as well. we had some good conversations, and then, as per usual, we had some disagreements in the "GU" sense. these spilled over into some personal disagreements and arguments, and i said some quite unkind things there. later, as things were difficult in my personal life, i deleted all my posts here. and soon after Randall ceased posting almost altogether at Gregory's site. i continued posting there until a new babe consumed all my time, and i didn't return to this site even to browse for more than 2 years. finally some deep prompting or stirring compelled me to return to this site, and i re-registered 5 or so years ago (i've changed my screen name a few times, for various reasons). when i did so, i did state that i was a returned member, but i was so conscious of the previous energy between us, that i didn't identify who i had been -- even when Randall asked, though he also stated at the time that is was ok for me to remain anonymous if i wished...and i did. it wasn't until a few years later that i actually had nerve enough to send an email to him apologising for the rift that had occurred and relating my original screen name. and i know that email was very difficult for him to accept. if Randall were so "biased" and grudge holding and all that...he'd have never made me a moderator here. some of our views remain widely disparate i'm sure...but i do know that we both have an abiding love and respect for LG and the path she unveiled for us, and thus we remain "kindred spirits." he's a good guy, ya'll. After that, if that person persists, e-mail me. I don't want to be like all the other sites on the Net who basically ban at the drop of a hat, but the rule from here on out will be to play nice or play elsewhere. I will make the final decision, but I do hold a lot of weight to what you, my Mods, think. I will (for the time being) handle Global Unity myself.

We're all doing the best we can, zanya. And we could all do a little better. Especially you. (Just kidding!) Nobody here is a buddha, and nobody claims to be a buddha. As far as I know, enlightenment is not a prerequisite for standing up to injustice. We all have a right, and a duty, to speak out against what we see as injustice. Nobody is above the law. (In case its unclear to anyone, I'm not referring to the laws of LL.)

I'm Buddha! Didn't you know? ------------------ "It's just a ride & we can change it any time we want. It's only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings & money, a choice, right now, between fear & love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your door, buy guns, close yourself off, the eyes of love instead see all of us as one"..... ~Bill Hicks IP: Logged |
