Greetings...

I'll cast my vote for an Angel Forum!

As God said (in Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch): "I have sent you nothing but angels."

Blessings...

I also like Nephthy's suggestion of a "Spiritual Guidance" forum and AlfaOmega's idea for an "Angel" forum. I always figured Angels could be under the UC umbrella what with Higher S-elves and all. But others have also suggested a Religion/Philosophy kind of forum. Couldn't all that become a separate forum? Maybe even tossing in the religion versus science conflict in there, too. We know Linda was highly opinionated regarding established Religion and Science so maybe that does deserve its own forum? Just thinking "out loud".

Eleanore,

I e-mailed Randall with a very similar idea

I agree, Theosophy and Religion could be separate from Universal Codes.

I think the Angel info can be covered in UC, too. I initially liked the idea of "Forgotten Rainbows and Melodies," but I feel that can be covered in Health and Healing... FFA can probably cover all the info on announcements, etc. It's actually a tough call, I think... There are many great suggestions on this thread.

Melody's idea was really good too...

A forum where every knowflake can start only one thread,
and it is all about themselves, like a personal blog area,
and the first thing they'd probably post is their chart,
and maybe a photo and some basic info about themselves.
So it would also function as a thread to welcome new members.
It can be difficult to keep track of all the magical people here,
and I just think, wouldnt it be great if, when you interact with someone,
you could have this thread as a reference, and you'd have some information,
maybe even a chart and a face, to go with the words on the screen.
In that sense, it brings a whole new dimension of community to LL.
I think its probably the best idea we have heard so far,
but we have heard some wonderful ideas.

My love to everyone here,
HSC

OK, I have hesitated to say this for awhile now........although I have mentioned it to Randall in the past:

I think FFA should be re-named. I think the words "Free for all" connotes disorder.....as in "Food Fight". Aside from Global Unity, this is really the only place where arguments and agression seems to come out.

Why not re-name "Free for all" to either:

General Discussion
Central Campground
Announcements and Information

(or another title)

I just don't like the idea of dumping almost anything into FFA when there are other forums specifically dedicated to certain subjects.

Then, in addition to re-naming FFA, we could have a Spiritual/Religious/Angel Forum added as well.

How about expanding profiles to be able to contain more info. about the person?

Nephthys.

I like Melody's idea too.....

I like what Nephthys suggested about expanding our profiles too...a function for private messages and all that.

Is there any way to have an alphabetized by user name expanded profile/biography forum?

I agree that Free For All needs a new name.
The standard definition of a "Free For All" is not a positive one.

quote:
Thesaurus: free-for-all

noun

A quarrel, fight, or disturbance marked by very noisy, disorderly, and often violent behavior: affray, brawl, broil2, donnybrook, fray, melee, riot, row2, ruction, tumult. Informal fracas. Slang rumble. See attack/defend.

Sadly too often that is exactly what it has been too.

One thing this forum lacks that many BBs have is the ability to set up a "vote" with options and results.

I'm not sure its even possible with this bb code, but it would be cool.

Just a couple a comments............

That new banner up there is HUGE!

The "click here for most recent topics" (or whatever it is called) isn't true. Sometimes I click there to scroll and scan quickly to see if there's anything I want to read/goto in LL.......well Angie had made a new post at HC and it didn't show up there! So that means it doesn't work correctly. (Luckily I popped into HC just to check anyways)

The Banner will be reduced in size soon. Do you check all pages for active Topics?

I click on "click here for today's active topics" and then I keep clicking "next" at the bottom until they are all gone. It displays the list of topics and the forums that they are in.

Angie's new one at HC never showed up at all.

Also there was a new birthday one at FFA that didn't show up either.

Well Randall have you made any decisions yet on a new forum? I see that you are thinking about having a MG forum, but I hope that doesn't retract or replace any of our ideas from this thread.

Also, will you be able to expand profile info? I'd like to see these types of options:

gender
private messaging
photo upload options (maybe 3 slots - people can upload a photo of theirself as well as their chart)
blank space for people to include whatever other info. they want about themselves.

Curious here what you decided on, Randall!
