What are baby tomatoes? Are they like cherry tomatoes?

Tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, lettuce and chard are all growing - a few peppers are growing, too. I think some beets are trying to grow, but my experiment with radishes failed. So did the spring onions, and there's something out there growing that I don't know the name of - if it's chives, spinach, or what. It's everywhere. Knowing my luck, it's another weed.

Parsley is growing a bit, but not enough. Still trying to get collards and cilantro going. I'd like to get something out of it all, rather than being disappointed again. Corn is growing, too, but it needs more sun in some areas.

Wow! That's a pretty good success rate.

Been thinking about you Juni. & wondered if you were one of the many without power right now.

Hope you are keeping cool and keeping busy tending to mother earth and her 4-leggeds & enjoying the summer season.

My new house has a really cool archway gazebo entrance with these gorgeous yellow blooms (currently in full bloom) all over it.

I'm wondeeing what they are exactly. They remind me of hibiscus, but they arent. They are smaller and look different than typical hibiscus.

I'll get a photo soon and see if you can help me out identifying them.

Hope you, fam and pups are well and gearing up to enjoy the upcoming holiday.

Oh, I didn't tell you that dad brought home a kitten that he rescued, near the end of May! I thought I posted that here. He still doesn't have a name - he started out as abrave little lovebug, but now he's part-lovebug, part terror. He keeps picking on the dogs, and wrapping himself around our ankles and biting.

The dogs are okay, except dealing with a few issues that older dogs deal with. :/ a few hours ago, I found out some bad news about a young man that we babysat nineteen/twenty years ago. This article is about what happened to him: http://www.news10.net/news/article/199936/2/Man-suffers-life-threatening-head-injury-at-July-4-celebration-
He's i a vegetative state, due to the left side of his brain being dead, and the right side is deteriorating. I knew something was up last night, but I didn't know what - I was cooking up a storm, and continued tonight, and now I know. Damn it.

I hope that Juni's okay. It was the hottest day this summer, today. It's still too warm.

I forget what they are called..

i looked up Q-tip looking tree, as that is how they were described to me, and found that one that says Longwood? Not sure.

I'm planting my Mooflowers with a Confederate Jasmine plant i got as a gift for doing someone a favor. Did some research and said they could be planted together. Got to get all these trellises looking nice and full of blooms.

Teasel, that's terrible about the young man you used to babysit. It's never easy to see someone that way either.

How's kitty doing too? What name did you figure out for it?

I'm inspired to paint a couple of strays i have here and will at some point.

It was Tyler's 21st birthday today - thank you. I hadn't sen him for years, but it was still a shock.

Kitty still doesn't have a name. I thought we'd settled on Winston, but I guess not.

I'm not doing so well here. Certain things with my sister, but I'm also wondering about something that I'll tell you about privately. My dad and I were also in a car accident the Sunday before last. We're physically fine, but shaken. I'm sick of summers going to **** for me. Always for me. I can't seem to get out of it, and it feels like nothing will change for the better.

Sorry, Juni. I'll post pics another day. my one camera is broken, but the tomato plants are hige. I accidentally snapped a pepper plant, and I'm not sure if the pumpkins are going to grow, or if I broke something for them, too.

I'll be looking out for your email. Sooo glad you and your Dad are okay. I know how much a car accident can shake one up.

You might need a change in scene and to get away from it all. Maybe once I have what I need to have accomplished here, not to mention when the weather is more bearable (a few months from now) you might think about a vaca here. I know ruts can be even harder to get out of when you have been in the same place for awhile. Anyway, we can talk about that later. I think it would be nice for both of us.

I'm jealous that you and juni are headed into the fall season now. We've still got the hottest months of the year on their way here. I'm really looking forward to when things cool down a bit and stay that way for awhile. Not sure why but this summer heat is really killing me this year. I'll still take it over snow any day though.

I'm procrastinating atm.. Have so much to do. Want to get my outside stuff done, but the heat is making me hesitate and do things indoors.

anyway. Hang in there my friend. Talk to you soon.

Is there snow yet, Juni?
