"A Solar Eclipse occurs on November 25, 2011 at 2 degrees and 37 minutes of Sagittarius, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 27 to 30 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) and approximately 0 to 6 degrees of the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) most significantly.

A Lunar Eclipse occurs on December 10, 2011 at 18 degrees and 11 minutes of Sagittarius and Gemini, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 13 to 23 degrees of the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) most significantly."

Solar Eclipse 25th November 2011
by Peter Stockinger

"On November 25th 2011 there will be another partial solar eclipse. At 06:09UT Sun and Moon will be conjunct in 02*36’ Sagittarius, applying to a square aspect with Mars. The chart below shows the details.

Sun and Moon are conjunct the fixed star al-Jabhah. According to Robson’s The Fixed Stars & Constellations in Astrology, this fixed star is of the nature of Saturn and Mercury, giving loss and many dangers. Its characteristics are most marked when the star is rising.

In his Annus Tenebrosus, or the Dark Year, the famous 17th century astrologer William Lilly presents a method of eclipse delineation, including an interpretation of the effects of solar and lunar eclipses, occurring in each decanate of the Zodiac. As this solar eclipse takes place in the first decanate of Sagittarius, which is ruled by Mercury, Lilly’s aphorism is as follows:

[This solar eclipse] “doth manifest most dangerous seditions amongst men, and renders men’s minds averse to all manner of accommodations or Treaties: each man fearing deceit in the man he deals with, or one Prince fearing another will delude him.”

Let us now have a look at the eclipse’s path of angularity:

We can observe that the path of the eclipse’s angularity is running straight through parts of Europe. The eclipse point is squaring Mars, known as the ‘Lesser Malefic’, and we can see from the map above that, at the time of the eclipse, Mars is conjunct MC in France and, more importantly, Belgium. Brussels, located in the heart of Belgium, is the place where the EU Single European Act was signed in 1993.

The chart above shows the moment the EU Single European Act was signed, together with the chart of the upcoming solar eclipse. We can see from the chart that the solar eclipse point is conjunct the foundation chart’s Lunar North Node, activating the Lunar nodal axis. Furthermore, the conjunction of Mars and the MC, squared by the eclipse point in the solar eclipse chart, is located on the foundation chart’s second house cusp, indicating problems along the themes of wealth and resources. For these reasons I take this to be a strong indication that the upcoming solar eclipse may have an influence on the European Union as a whole.

To get an idea of the possible nature of the forthcoming events we have to examine Mercury, decanate ruler of the eclipse. Mercury is in a shocking state, being in his detriment, peregrine and moving retrograde. As Mercury is generally thought to represent merchants, bankers and trade, it is not hard to come to an obvious conclusion. Looking back at William Lilly’s prediction that the eclipse will trigger “most dangerous seditions amongst men, and renders men’s minds averse to all manner of accommodations or Treaties” makes it all the more likely that we can expect some sort of upheaval or disturbance. Being located in the first house of the eclipse chart, we can deduct that the influence of the solar eclipse will have general as well as individual implications and is therefore concerning us all.

---
For readers, interested in the personal implications of this eclipse, it might be of interest what William Lilly has to say:

“… Eclipse is more dangerous or pernitious which shall be in the Horoscope or Ascendant of the birth; or which shall be in the degree Ascending in an Annuall Revolution: it portends unto the Native some ominous and mischievous action as unto his body and also in his vital substance.”

And further on:

“… who had in the Radix of his Nativity either the Sun or the Moon in that degree, or in the degree opposite … or in the like degrees … which signs are in Quadrate aspects to the former, or if the degree Culminating in any man’s Nativity was either [the degree of the eclipse or its opposite or square] or within one degree therof, the native did suffer more or less by the influence of this Eclips; according to the signification of the House of Heaven, wherein the Sun or the Moon was in at the Birth, and was either well fortified or aspected of the benevolent Planets, or ill aspected, or afflicted of the Malevolents.”

For this particular Solar eclipse that means that people with Sagittarius rising, either in their birth chart or in their Solar return chart for 2011, will feel the influence stronger than others. Furthermore it should be noted if Sun or Moon are conjunct the eclipse point. If it should be the case that one or even more of these factors apply, an in depth reading of the native’s charts may be necessary to find out which particular areas of life are likely to be affected the most."

on second thought, i actually get really urked by postings that aren't what i would consider to be 'enlightened' so i think i will contribute for anyone else that might be interested...

mars is currently in virgo (mercury as it's ruler, will be in sag) in a grand earth trine with jupiter (which rules this new moon) and pluto; that's one hell of a powerful trine, mind you..

there's also saturn which is exalted in libra (venus; in sag) and i don't think that the date of the new moon will have saturn aspecting pluto or uranus since it is currently a bit late in the sign, thus, taking the edge off of a lot of what has been occurring with it lately... that's just to add on to whatever the 'fixed star' posting was all about.

as a gentle reminder: whenever you post something, especially something to deal with a NEW Moon (which when eclipsing can be incredibly powerful to do and start amazing things!) i would suggest doing at least some research because the first decan of sagittarius, is ruled by jupiter (NOT "mercury") which is part of that grand earth trine involving mars, jupiter and pluto, that i mentioned.

i found it unbelievably irresponsible, ignorant, not to mention, stupid, to go ahead and post something like that without even bothering to actually, uh, i dunno.. think?

Lioness,

No need for fear, hon! Eclipses just bring about much-needed change, and can help one establish stronger, stabler structures.

The New Moon aspecting your Mars will bring about assertive actions in that area of your life represented by the house aspected. It can be very personally fulfilling for you to put changes in place that can positively impact your life. Just be sure to think through it as Neptune being aspected may lead to some illusion or confusion. What houses are these planets in, in your chart?

For my/your reference: I'd copied general information about eclipses in this thread a few months back: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/208436.html

Saturn and Pluto aspects to the Solar Eclipse bring about changes that may have to do with responsibility - depends how they are aspected and what houses they occupy in your chart. You won't be alone in dealing with these as they are generational planets, though the area they will be felt will be different due to their placement in different houses.

Changes need not have a negative connotation - eclipses shake up status quo and help you speed up progress. I tend to look forward to them for that reason.

I think I got this from Cafeastrology.com, but it bears reposting here:

"If this eclipse stimulates your 1st-7th house axis, you are called upon to strike a balance between relationship and self. Issues of personal courage, confidence, and independence come to the fore over the next few months. You may, for example, receive a cosmic push towards expressing yourself more creatively (especially if Gemini is in the first house), and experience an increased drive to take charge of your life. Issues surrounding personal appearance, the body, and one's image become especially important and, in some cases, critical. Basically, you will be learning to stand on your own two feet! This sequence of eclipses will alert you to the need to interact with others--either the public, or through a close partnership (especially if 11 Gemini is in the seventh house). For some, marriage or divorce will be an issue. For most, carving out a personal identity that includes a significant other who furthers their own personal growth will come into focus. The January eclipse should give you a push towards a stronger identity or sense of purposefulness through close partnership.

If this eclipse stimulates your 2nd-8th house axis, you will be called upon to strike a balance between your own needs for security and comfort and the same needs of other people, likely those of a significant other. If 11 Gemini is in the second house, personal finances will come into strong focus. How well have you taken care of your finances? More importantly, have you taken charge of your personal sense of security? If 11 Gemini is in the eighth house, issues of sexuality and spirituality may be a stronger focus. In either case, issues of shared resources, sexuality, and possessions are featured. With this eclipse, it's time to start fresh with regards to how you go about satisfying your needs for security and comfort. If 11 Gemini is in the second house, take charge of your life by taking the necessary steps to make yourself feel good and secure. You are called upon to make a stand and to tend to your comfort levels. If you do so, the positive effects will ricochet back into your intimate life. If you continue to tend to your partner's comfort levels while ignoring your own, feelings of resentment and neglect can infect your relationships. Get in touch with what feels most comfortable for you, and the intimacy level in your relationship will step up a notch. If 11 Gemini is in the eighth house, you are learning about the comfort levels of others. Essentially, you are learning to share and to surrender yourself (in a balanced manner!) to intimacy.

If the 3rd-9th house axis is stimulated by this eclipse, issues surrounding learning and sharing knowledge will come to the fore. For some, issues surrounding attention to one's immediate environment, and branching out and beyond it, are stimulated. If 11 Gemini is in the third house, you are receiving a cosmic push to become more active in your immediate environment (neighborhood, with siblings/relatives, etc.), and/or to learn and communicate facts that fuel your opinions. If 11 Gemini is in the ninth house, you will be learning to expand your horizons, either through contact with people from an entirely different background than yours, travel, or higher learning. Your personal philosophy will be changing, and this eclipse gives you a push towards adopting beliefs that truly work for you in the real world. Other possible issues stimulated include transportation and mobility (for example, some may be learning to depend on others for getting from point A to point B, and others may be learning to take charge of their own mobility), running errands and tending to one's daily life effectively, and learning about one's need for self-expression through adventure.

If the 4th-10th house axis is stimulated by this eclipse, issues surrounding public and private lives, as well as attention to career and to family, are stimulated. The fourth house rules our instinctual needs, the domestic scene, our needs for security, and our focus on family and home life as well as relationships with family. The tenth house rules our needs for status, our career and reputation, our worldly ambitions, structure, and our drive for success. Striking a balance between these issues is the focus of this sequence of eclipses. If 11 Gemini is in the fourth house, it's time to take steps to improve your family and home life. This eclipse is the final cosmic push for you to take charge of your private life. If 11 Gemini is in the tenth house, you are called upon to pay more attention to your career and public life, and to take charge of this important part of your life. Either way, this can play out in a number of ways. Some may have to make some critical decisions due to situations in the life that force them to make choices between career and family goals. Some people are promoted or their career takes a new direction (especially if an eclipse occurs close to the Midheaven). The challenge is to find a healthy balance--to improve home life, while at the same time tending to one's career needs.

If this eclipse stimulates your 5th-11th house axis, social activity is the focus. The need to be appreciated by others, and the need for togetherness with others, comes into play. A love affair may begin or end under this influence. New contacts with others may also occur. If 11 Gemini is in the fifth, you will learn to let go of a fear of taking risks, and to develop the courage to strike out on your own individual and creative path without fear. You are called upon to deal with others in a more personal, involved, and loving manner, rather than falling back on reason and intellect, which detaches you from your feelings. This series of eclipses is about learning to take personal risks, which requires a certain amount of self-confidence. If 11 Gemini is in the eleventh, you will be learning about letting go of your attachment to the drama of romance and personal relationships, as well as your willfulness. You are called upon to learn about the value of the team. You may need to give freedom to your romantic partner instead of expecting him or her to follow a script of your own making. You learn the value of brotherly love and the benefits of a sense of belonging to a community. Events are such that you move towards a more objective approach to your life and you cultivate true friendships.

If this eclipse stimulates your 6th-12th house axis, issues of work and service, as well as health (both mental/spiritual, and physical), come into focus. If 11 Gemini is in the sixth house, you are called upon to deal with the the details and practicalities of everyday life, to become more organized, and to take charge of your routines. It's time to formulate some clear goals and plans. Circumstances are such that you need to develop some healthy habits, routines, and schedules. Believing in a grand plan is fine, but practical concerns need to be dealt with as well. Recognizing your personal limitations in terms of just how much you can give to others and just how much compassion and understanding you can show is essential now. It's time to structure your life. If 11 Gemini is in the twelfth house, over the next year you are called upon to rid yourself of guilt about under-performing, and to develop faith and trust in a larger more spiritual plan. It's time to let go of some of your fears that you are not doing enough, to develop more compassion and understanding of others, and to be humble, feeling safe in the knowledge that you (and others) are not perfect. It's time to let go of some of your obsessions with rules, details, and fears of not doing things perfectly. When this axis is stimulated, issues of guilt, worry, and anxiety become paramount.""

This is quoted from the older eclipse thread; I don't know what site offered this, but here's a cheat sheet for eclipse aspecting planets:

"The New Moon Eclipse conjunct your natal Sun denotes a big change in your personal life.

The conjunction to the Moon often denotes home or career changes.

Mercury's conjunction to the Eclipse point delivers a constant stream of challenging communication that needs to be either spoken or learned or communicated in some way.

Venus's conjunction or opposition to the Eclipse brings about challenges concerning love affairs and/or money matters.

Mars conjunct or in opposition to the Eclipse point signals action, assertiveness and challenges that deal with personal energy.

Jupiter's conjunction always deals with expansion unless it couples with Saturn. Jupiter involves challenges that deal with expansion in what ever area it resides. Money and travel are also in Jupiter's realm.

Saturn's conjunction or opposition are challenges that deal with responsibility. (Taking responsibility with the conjunction and giving up responsibility with the opposition.)

Uranus conjunction and opposition is always about eccentricity, freedom and unexpected desires. You will always be surprised with Uranus in aspect to the eclipse.

Neptune's conjunction or opposition is always about illusion, or more, exactly confusion. Confusion and illusion are two sides of the same coin. This eclipse produces a generous amount of confusion or illusion.

Pluto conjunction or opposition to the eclipse demands change almost immediately. It can be challenging for just that reason alone. Pluto always seems to bring with it an intense time and in some cases passionate experience."

Another site with useful information: http://www.bigskyastrology.com/articles/eclipse/eclipses-aspect-planets.html

Eclipses in Aspect to Natal Planets:
The Narrative of Change

by April Elliott Kent

Chances are, your birth chart contains at least one planetary configuration so dreadful that astrologers take one look and gasp: "How do you live with that?"
And you shrug. Because it's like having been born with blue eyes or red hair: that's the way it's always been for you, so you're pretty much used to it, much the way one gets used to a throbbing arthritic joint. A hypothetically awful aspect is your cross to bear, as Sister Rita used to say. But the very aspects that inspire terror in the casual observer are, potentially, your treasure.

Planets woven together by difficult aspects are as strong as steel. They represent problems you can't ignore, and conflicts that chew at you until you find a resolution - or at least détente. They describe your defining attributes; and each time an eclipse scores a glancing blow off these aspects (about every four and a half years), you're given another chance to become a little bit more … you.

So not even the most unpleasant natal aspect is inherently awful. And despite the unease they inspire, neither are eclipses. Some are part of a larger and more daunting planetary picture with global implications. Personally, however, we tend to experience eclipses most strongly when they form close aspects (especially conjunctions, squares, and oppositions) to planets in our birth chart. Each time an eclipse aspects one of the planetary crosses that you bear, a narrative of change emerges - one that is repeated over and over throughout your lifetime.

Unless an eclipse triggers these high-tension natal aspects, or falls very close to the cusps of the first, fourth, seventh, or tenth houses, you are likely to experience its influence as relatively subtle, like the flutter of a leaf in a chilling breeze. But let one of your more sensitive aspects get triggered, and it's the difference between a doctor checking your reflexes during an exam and hammering an arthritic knee.

• Eclipse aspecting the natal Sun: If life is a movie, the Sun is the protagonist - however flawed - for whom we cheer. Each of us is born to be the hero of our own life story; but often, timidity or false modesty persuades us to hand over that role to others. When eclipses aspect your natal Sun, you are thrust into the starring role - and if you're not used to it, that can be uncomfortable.

• Eclipses aspecting the natal Moon - From the moment we're ripped from mom's womb, we seek to reclaim the security and safety that we knew there. We feather our nests, stock the pantry with foods we like, and surround ourselves with people who make us feel comfortable. But when eclipses aspect the natal Moon, something - a new living situation, a change in health - may leave you feeling as exposed as a crab with her shell cracked open.

• Eclipses aspecting Mercury: How do you define yourself? Usually, it begins with a name. Then, with your rank in the family pecking order, on the playground, in the workplace. Finally, numbers (grades in school, numbers on a paycheck) define you. When eclipses aspect natal Mercury, the god of definition, prepare for a change in your name, rank, or serial number - and for a change in how you define yourself.

• Eclipses aspecting Venus: If only each of us were endowed with flawless confidence, great relationships, bountiful self-esteem, and oodles of cash! Eclipse aspects to Venus remind us that world will not always give us the treatment, whether kind or cruel, that we think we deserve.

• Eclipses aspecting Mars: Mars is a trained, ruthless guard dog that answers only to you. He guards you and your home, defends your reputation, and helps you get all the cool things that you want. When eclipses aspect natal Mars, the watch dog is stirred up and straining at his leash; get what's yours, but don't let anyone get hurt.

• Eclipses aspecting Jupiter: When was the last time you had an adventure? When eclipses aspect Jupiter, you're itching to take a chance, to feel the thrill of being completely alive. These can be times when you overreach out of sheer optimism; but they are also moments when your life jumps tracks and starts moving in a new direction.

• Eclipses aspecting Saturn: When eclipses aspect Saturn, you may feel worn out and discouraged. Probably, you've outgrown your life or are playing by outdated rules. But you'll never get anywhere by blaming others for your problems. Regardless of how things got this way, what are you going to do to make your life better?

• Eclipses aspecting Uranus: When eclipses aspect Uranus, you may feel like a misfit - and that can hurt. Recognizing who your friends are (and aren't), and looking for a tribe that lets you be yourself, is the challenge of these eclipses.

• Eclipses aspecting Neptune: These eclipses compel you to examine your blind spots, question your faith, and dispute what you previously thought was indisputable. If you've been fooling yourself - like a wife who ignores the signs that her husband has strayed, or the man who is disillusioned by his womanizing guru - these eclipses can deliver a wakeup call.

• Eclipses aspecting Pluto: In each of us, there is a dark side. There are feelings that are unworthy of us - rage, jealousy, fear, covetousness. They weaken us, making us slaves to our emotions and to people who are more self-possessed. When eclipses aspect Pluto, we meet that dark self and the others who embody it for us, grappling with power and the need for control."

LOL! You really should have gone with your first instinct there.

I guess you haven't been here that long, but every time we've had eclipses in the past several years, it is common practice to have a thread discussing aspects of the upcoming eclipses. Some sources of information may be interpreted differently than others. Users of this forum are expected like in any other to use their own common sense and better judgement when reading the views of others.

If you are so highly inflamed by the views of those I quoted, you're welcome to go take it up with them. If you have useful information to contribute, by all means, share it without all the barbed comments if you're capable of doing so (frankly, they take away from anything you might have to contribute). However, I suggest you do it outside this thread - you've crossed a line here.

It is really funny that talk of "enlightened" should come from you, after your post in this thread, and in fact, many of your posts in this forum. If you cannot participate peaceably in a thread, I suggest you use your better judgement and refrain from posting there.

Really, anongrl10?

With that attitude, more than half of the threads here should be censored, if no one is capable of using their judgement. We have always approached it from a healthy spirit of discussion and sharing of information & different points of view.

Solar Eclipse -- November 2011
By: Marina
Source: http://darkstarastrology.com/solar-eclipse-november-2011/

"The Solar eclipse on November 25 2011 is at 2º 36’ Sagittarius. It’s closest aspect is Moon quincunx Jupiter and it is on the Fixed star Dschubba in the constellation of Scorpio. The Moon is on Asteroid Fortuna. Looking at the chart the first impression is of a grant trine with a very powerful Mars trine Pluto also, which complements the Scorpionic theme. We have a waning Jupiter trine Pluto aspect also. Put this all together and we get power politics meets religion. I touched on this on the day of the exact trine when I got the image of politicians pillaging the Vatican gold, just like when Nero raided the temples to build a new Rome and Henry the 8th ransacked the monasteries when he became head of the church in England.

Pluto likes to strip things bare, but Jupiter in aspect to Pluto can be great wealth also. Magi astrology regards Jupiter quincunx Pluto to be a millionaire’s aspect. It’s interesting that Magi’s rate (as we do here at Darkstar) the often ignored quincunx. This Eclipse on a Scorpionic star quincunx Jupiter should be saying something about great wealth then. Except, we are in the middle of a recession…

Solar eclipse quincunx Jupiter

Let’s refresh ourselves of the elements of this eclipse. 1st the aspects themselves, Sun quincunx Jupiter “Pushing hard is a way to relieve the tension and this is why these people often appear lucky. However, by putting so much of themselves, their identity on the line, if the scales tip then they can show the Jupiter tendency to excess in a negative way, through guilt or addiction.”

Moon quincunx Jupiter “These people will bounce back again and again. They get through life through the use of a hearty sense of humour. Emotionally extravagant, they over-react in a most dramatic, somewhat camp manner.” In a solar eclipse left-brain thinking is blotted out for a while and intuition takes over. So combine both these aspects and the pushy, excessive solar version of the quincunx gives way to the lunatic humour and the irrepressible quality of the moon quincunx.

This shows to me great hope, enterprise and spirit of the populus, a resolution not to let the ******** grind us down. There is great wealth to be claimed; only this is spiritual gold. This is what has be been buried under the amount of junk (food, gadgets, TV) and distractions (work, internet) of our day to day life. With having some of that taken away, we have come to realise we don’t actually need it. Pluto strips us down, zen like. We are free! Less clutter allows room for jovial spirit to enter. Humour heals.

Asteroid Fortuna

I found Asteroid Fortuna to be about how we view our fate and how lucky do we think we are. Fortuna is associated with the expression “what goes round comes round”. So she reminds us that when we are at our lowest the only way is up. At the moment of course we are being told that the world is falling into depression. Psychologically how is this affecting us? Are be going to let this effect how lucky we think we are? The stock markets are so very Jupiter, they function on how optimistic we feel from day today

Personally I’m hoping that Asteroid Fortuna will take care of a few things…as I said in my Asteroid Fortuna post “For the Romans, chance events and Fortuna were connected with Virtue, so that immoral individuals would invite bad fortune and virtuous persons would be rewarded with good fortune.” This eclipse has the feel of the “Day of Judgement” about it. It’s interesting that her father Jupiter, the gambler has such an influence over this Eclipse. Life seems like it’s playing a game of Russian roulette with us right now.

Solar Eclipse on Fixed Star Dschubba

This star featured in my post about Psychopath Astrology as what I termed a psycho star. The June lunar eclipse 2011 was on Lesath, the number one psycho star! Where that eclipse dealt with removing poisons from our body, this one could be about removing toxic people worldwide. The top psycho star scorers were (not surprisingly perhaps) all in the constellation Scorpio, BUT wait! These scorpio-psycho stars are all placed in tropical Sagittarius, a sign generally regarded as benevolent, philosophical, jovial, pious and pretty harmless.

So we get the strange blending of two consecutive zodiac signs and archetypes Scorpio-Pluto and Sagittarius-Jupiter. This combination is describing the transition from 8th house secrecy to 9th house transparency, the bright scorching light of Jupiter burning away the masks. One thing Pluto and Jupiter share is extremism, which makes me think of fundamentalist religions and fanatics. These type of people we often label as being psychopaths, which brings us back to Dschubba.

Dschubba is found on the forehead of the Scorpion at 2º 34’ Sagittarius. At its best “Anyone with this star strong in their horoscope is likely to show a patient and wary approach to any situation, but this will belie the skilled determination which will then be brought to bear. Scorpio is famous for the surgeons born in it and this star shows up just the qualities which they need to have. The same applies to generals, policemen, private investigators and secret service agents, many of whom have this star well placed and aspected.” [1], but at its worst “It causes sudden assaults, malevolence, immorality and shamelessness.” [2] So in a lesser vehicle, the skilful use of the blade and/or weapon, and the cool and calculated planning would be put to darker uses, hence it’s appearance in the chart of the psychopath.

Eclipse tarot – 8 of Swords

In the celestial tarot this card is Canis Major, the larger of the two hunting dogs of Orion which includes the brightest star in the sky, Sirius. Who is this reminding us of, the big fat shining god of gods Jupiter? The Egyptians also associated Anubus, their guide to the Underworld with Sirius. So we get the hunting hound and underworld guardian in this card, which is still describing the transition from Pluto to Jupiter. Sirius signals the heat of the “Dog days”, which we are obviously in right now. The heat is on, there is nowhere to hide. The card its self is about self exploration, and the realisation that one has been guarding an unconscious position which can be reversed once it is made conscious.

ECLIPSE KEYWORDS; Self revelation, hidden jewels, guarding treasure, cutting the crap, stripping down, clearing clutter, exposing demons, purging toxins, cathedral plumbing, kitchen sink dramas, melodrama’s, ransacking, burning idols, spying on priests, satanic worship, saturnalia, orgies, frenzies, obsessions, religious fanatics, fun, da-mentalists, philosophical psychology, a lot of really deep thinking….frantic probing, stalking gurus, volcanic eruptions, dry ice, camp horror, black humour, coping with comedy, sick jokes, Transylvanian transvestites, sex changes, castrating rapists, cold hearted killers, crimes of passion, burning bankers, jailing bishops, S & M, sex addiction, marriage counselling, taboo infidelities, waking up from a deep coma, coming out of denial, coming out of the closet, in really sparkly platform boots…and holding a Magnum (An ice-cream in the UK, a firearm in the USA), psychopaths, dicing with death, gamblers, gangsters, gang-bangs, roulette, the cosmic wheel, turning the tide, worms that turn.

Xiiro, Let me see if I have this right - your birthday happens a week after the first new moon eclipse? So the eclipses must be in square aspect to your natal Sun. What house is your Sun in, Xiiro? It appears you are due for some changes in your personal life, and an exciting solar return!

Anglerfish,

What houses do your Sun & Moon occupy in your natal chart?

I kinda wish some of my planets were affected by the SE - it's just the LE for me this time.. I don't want to get left behind on experiencing the ecliptic energy as I have some areas that could use a push!

BTJr,

I hope you were kidding, but if you were not, the eclipses are absolutely not going to get you!

The title of my thread was totally in jest - I'm so used to seeing "The Eclipses are coming!" in weekly forecasts by a couple of astrologers on the web every 6 months, so I had use that same phrase here again..

As I've mentioned before, Eclipses bring a big cosmic dose of energy that, if they happen to aspect a natal planet or point in your chart, can bring about changes in that area of your life in a manner that is colored by the planet aspected. They can clear out dead wood and help you put healthier/stronger foundations in place.

They typically happen in series, with a New Moon Solar Eclipse good for starting new ventures, followed by a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse that is good for ending what is not working, and finally a New Moon Solar Eclipse again to help you replace those gaps with new habits, projects and partnerships. These can be exciting times and spell much hope for the future.

If you're new to this and would like to post your aspects or your chart, I'd be glad to help you figure out what they may bring for you.
