Scorpios are the most respected "specialists" in their chosen fields. They tend to know an aweful lot about specific things, unlike say...Geminis who tend to know a bit about an aweful lot of different things. They go deep, rather than wide. Know what I'm sayin? Pickin up what I'm layin down? Smellin what I'm cookin?? (ok, that last one is gay...not that there's anything wrong with that, but ah..nevermind)IP: Logged |

Lioneye, you are such a rockin' chick! I saw another post about scorpios, and after wiping the smile off my face, because I enjoy popularity, I started reading, and damn if the smile wouldn't stay off my face. I love you all!!!!! Thank you for infusing this eagle/scorp (most of the time) chick with oodles of positive vibes. I really needed this. I feel like this site has improved inter-zodiac communications, for the benefit of all knowflakes. Topics such as this make my heart sing. It sounds really pretty when it sings. Thank you.IP: Logged |

I like Scorps for the most part and they are easy to know, especially when they want to talk. I think the reason is that they think of you after you are gone, Scorps do a lot of introspection alone, and think about their friends and family. That is why they never feel alone, or maybe it's because they want to feel closer to those people. My Scorps always seem to be on the same emotional track as me when I see them again, and they like to share articles and work with their intellect. It makes it safer, they like to brood on the people they know in depth instead of finding new people.Scorps make great doctors and investigators, are brilliant very often but sometimes anxious about meeting new people and cover that up. The ones I know like to be social but only if they have the upper hand or have a few drinks. A few Scorps I know have a real affinity with alcohol, and prefer to warm up that way before meeting people. It's easy for a Scorp to be hurt and conned by the opposite sex and they are trusting once they get trusted. That trust is hard to break but once it does it never really grows back again. I like Scorps as friends and I am friendly without getting too intense or deep because that is Scorp territory, I also have learned to give up control of every argument and situation, not easy for a Taurus with an 8th house moon and Mars on the ascendant. We have accomplished amazing things though in the world. My pluto is in the tenth and that is why I attract Scorps in business. Scorps are not great in business because they prefer to think about one thing, obsessively, but are great at analytical and organized thinking. The only thing I do not like is a fear of being alone Natasha Taurus/6th house Sun Gemini/7th house Mercury Aries/4th house Venus Cancer/8th house Moon Sag/Ascendant conjunct Mars "There will be Peace in the Valley for Me" Terrible weekend by the way, freak accident totaled a new car. A Scorp was with me, she was incredibly upbeat about the whole thing and we had a good time after that, after I cried. So a Scorp is really great in times of crisis as long as it does not drag on too long and he or she can help make the decisions. The hardest realization I have found is that when I just let go, others are there. IP: Logged |

Hey Lioneye --Interesting what u said about "not compromising values" -- as even tho i am not Scorpio Sun -- I am Pisces with Scorpio Asc, having Pluto in 9th,also with Uranus in 8th ---- WELL, I have paid VERY high prices for standing on principle and continue to pay until this very day. I would say that PRINCIPLE is something i will NEVER compromise, even so. My Mother also had Scorp Asc -- and i saw HER as being very STRONG, when others around her were weak. I supposed anyone with strong Scorp traits truly WILL have this aura of intensity around them -- and even as a "sweet" Pisces, there have been those who have run from me -- i think i said that somewhere else too --lol -- Just that it always makes me laff. I think something happens in my eyes -- lol. I will have to admit that i have done my share of "self-destructive" acts -- and feel like i have died 15 times. These are the depths most cannot survive. I am even known as a "survivor" -- don't know if i will survive the current trends as these days are the worst in my entire life, and believe me, i have seen a few problems. IP: Logged |

I'm a scorp asc. too, and my sun (and merc.)in the 8th...does that make me more of a scorpio then a gemini? I feel like my scorp is not strongly placed, though...Hmmm thoughts to ponder lol Nackie IP: Logged |

I was reading Too Dumb for Love in Truer than True Romances, and in one of the comic strips there is a girl who is dating all the wrong men. Crackheads, married men, and oh darn a Scorpio! I thought that was terrible after reading this thread and the others. I thought everyone was exaggerating about the Scorpio legend but I guess not. I only know from my experiences but I have had plenty with a Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Mother who were all Scorpios born in November. Plus a brother-in-law who is wonderful with his children, and two friends who are a little wild but responsible for everyone.Scorpios are very hardworking, a lot like Aries and tend to be caretakers. If you can hold on to one as a friend you are very lucky because they choose friends close friends carefully and are loyal to a fault. I think that Scorpios are not recognized for being as intellectual as they are. Not romantic though, like Libra or Taurus. Natasha IP: Logged |

I also have a Scorpio brother-in-law and he also is a wonderful father, Natasha (sister's husband, not husband's brother). They have 4 kids ranging from 19 (she lives with me) to 8. They live in Lousiana actually. My sister is a Taurus, Gem moon AND rising. (use to think she was Cancer rising, but not according to Astro.com )IP: Logged |

I envy their ability to be the Phoenix--I always wanted to be a Phoenix! My astrology teacher always said there are 3 evolutionary levels to Scorpio, and it would be a good idea to try to figure out which you are dealing with: The Scorpion The Eagle The PhoenixNot all will achieve Phoenix, many are never the Scorpion. I don't have a prejudice against any sign, and with Scorpios, I often find them very attractive. Or men with a strong Scorp influence, especially the Mars in Scorpio. Perhaps we should all take a look at our 8th house, the natural house of Scorpio for any influence there? Personally I have both Venus and Mercury in Aries in the 8th. Another big . But the ruler of my 8th is Neptune, which is in my 3rd house (I communicate in various ways for a living). I also have Pluto conjunct my rising...and I have been told I can wither people with my eyes. I get that from Pluto, ruler of Scorpio. Just illustrating that many of us can find a Pluto/Scorpio influence in our own charts. Oh, and as for that attraction...I often think I am an irresistible force, so when I meet a Scorpio immovable object... (<--moi) My best friend is Pisces with moon in Scorpio, and she is loyal to her friends even when she doesn't want to be. Unless...you betray her. Then: The End. IP: Logged |

Hi, yes that's a good idea. I have hte Moon in Cancer in the 8th, my sex and death urges relate to Cancer/the Moon and I rehab homes as part of my living. I also renovate and refinish old furniture, shoes, clothes, and save everything old. I love children and those with the moon on their ascendant. My attitude towards mothering is very fierce and demanding and I expect a lot, I don't baby anyone. I am very concerned about my friends relationships, children and their attitudes towards money. I have been known to be bossy in the parenting department and threaten legal action if I think someone is mistreating a child.I don't know what else there is about Cancer/8th house except that I never felt much of a child and grew up very quickly, I love research and sparky minds. I am passionate about boats and homes and finding homes for those who do not have any. I get pretty obsessed with regaining what I have lost and making sure everyone I know does not get ripped off anywhere. I am a constant letter writer to organizations and I'm slow and steady. I can be unforgiving too if I see someone as a baby, and expect self discipline and a sense of respect for other people's values and property. I not one to fall for a pretty face, in fact I prefer character. I am suspicious of superficiality and I usually am compulsive about certain foods because I grew up with them. In fact most water house moons I have found are a little compulsive about anything they knew as a child, clothes, music, nostalgia is big. You see us at garage sales, and junk stores. Who said scorps can't be romantic? I am. I'm very romantic - when I care for a man. Not if I don't care. It's all or nothing...The worst being a scorpio, and I really don't know if it's because of my sun sign - or the fact I've got red hair - is people (men) seing you as a potential mistress! It's insulting. Also that others think you're mean and evil. Hey - we're nice! The best thing is, well all the positive things that's written about us. I've got one question though; Why is people freaking out and scared when a scorpio's looking into their eyes? All my childhood I've heard "don't look people in their eyes.." Scorpiogirl IP: Logged |

I totally LOVE my Scorpio boss (today ). He TOTALLY went to bat for me in a conflict with this jackass in 'upper middle' management. Tried to say he wasn't aware of something, because I didn't make the information available to him. I did so. I offered to fax it, he didn't seem to think it was important enough for him to bother with at the time. Then, when the more 'higher ups' caught wind of the situation they ask him about it, and that's when he starting trying throw the blame at me. ...But, it's ok, because my boss was on the conferrence call with them this morning and he set the record straight once and for all!! This guy's cover has been blown now. His superiors are now hip to his unethical and self serving ways. HA HA!!! He was really sticking his neck out for me, because this guy is higher up the chain than he his. Three cheers for the protective nature of a Scorpio boss!! IP: Logged |

HIP HIP HOOORAY! HIP HIP HOOOORAY! HIP HIP HOOOOOORAY! (every time I think/do a hip hip hooray cheer, I think of my very effeminate public school vice principal who was a slip of a man with very soft high voice, and absolutely no backbone or manliness or projection whatsoever....He led the school to a sad sad round of hip hip hooray, that to my small fourth grade mind sounded pathetic and lame. I felt sorry for him, yet also I wanted to mock him. To yell out- If you were enthusiastic about it, maybe we'd be too! Just a sad filtering of voices echoing around the auditorium, fading away on the last syllable with no gusto. Just thought I'd share my memory.) I love that your boss vindicated you! I would've too!IP: Logged |

I adore Scorpios.....I have always related well to them, especially always bonded with the boys...altho I have never dated one. I have a strong attraction to the quailities of the sign itself..(like thats unusual!!)and I have a Scorp asc myself. I once had a karmic astrology reading with a gifted reader, and she actually said I would be better off in life to focus on my Scorpio attributes.....so yeah, I dig em. I think Scorpios are wonderful.... K

Today, I'm a little annoyed, but I'm glad that Scorpios are able to make me do things I don't want to do. I don't want to go to work on a Saturday, but if I don't....bah!! Oh well. It'll make next week unbareable if I don't, so I'll just go. See my boss and I both know it's my choice, but when he suggests it, it's not REALLY a choice. It's like "Well it's entirely up to you (but I'm going to remind you at every chance I get that you should have come in on Saturday like I suggested. And don't expect any comradery or help or sympathy from me, and I may even find ways to increase your work load so I can be sure to stress you out and give myself lots of chances to say "see, you should have done what I said and come in on Saturday") Not worth it. I'm going in, dammit. *sigh* He's right, it's for the best. IP: Logged |

Scorpios are very romantic! I'm even more into romance, that all or nothing extreme attitude thing, than my libra mother or my taurus brother. They are so laid back and passive, they don't care about the romantic aspect of anything. I have to have romance to thrive. I don't think a scorpio woman can respect a man if he doesn't value romance and she has to be cherished. Scorpios are very demanding, take that as you would like! Also, we are very lonely because we are capable of feeling so deeply and passionately. Or at least I can admit i'm lonely. I'm comfortable being alone but i'm still lonely without my soulmate. Thanks everyone for saying we're not mean. Lately at work, everyone tells me i'm the meanest person there. I just laugh at them and let them think what they want, but i'm not mean! They just don't get me and many are offended by the sense of humor. Can't anyone handle a little dry, sarcastic wit every now and then? One girl, a Leo, accused me of being in a bad mood every day because i'm not giggly and bubbly like girls are supposed to be. It reminded me of a Tshirt I saw, which I quoted, "I'm just one big f*%$#** ray of sunshine, aren't I?" She wasn't amused and didn't laugh, but I did! One thing about scorpios that I don't think people realize is that the happier we seem to be, the more miserable we are on the inside. The more content I am, the quieter I am. I don't talk much when i'm in a good mood and everyone asks me what's wrong. Do you other scorps notice that, too? Or am I just weird? please don't comment... IP: Logged |

Isn't everything long term to a scorpio? I analyze everything, spit some out, analyze it some more, until there's nothing left or I forgot what I was analyzing! It gets old. I wish I could take a lighter approach to life sometimes. I saw a bumper sticker the other day that read "Don't take life so seriously, it's only temporary" IP: Logged | |
