Yes, Lioneye, hopefully he will evolve with love, though he's still getting vouchers! I feel really bad actually, I HATE getting people vouchers, but his reaction REALLY annoyed me. I don't think he ever gets people presents, he just lets my mum do that. One of my best friends is a Leo. Note evolve also contains leo? Good save, Dean , especially the "evolved contains Leo" part.I think that's typical that the husband lets the wife buy all the gifts. That's how it works in my family too. Most men don't like to shop at all if they can avoid it, unless it's for stereo equipment or something like that. I love giving gifts, what can I say, I'm a Leo. I like my present to be the one that makes them gasp and jump up and down. Can't get enough of that shyte. Unfortunately, that's why I'm in the poor house every January Ah well. Pid...taste any good feet lately? IP: Logged |

Hi JWhop -Yes, your energy is very familiar to me. Could we have been cohorts in contentiousness - another place, another time? As I recall, you were a really bad boy and I was a very very bad girl ... BAD TO THE BONE. For Aphrodite, precious precious angel Aries child (and sometimes big baby girl) - And for Aries Sisters, And for Aries Mother/Daughters, And for Aries Good Friends: "Storm clouds may gather and stars may collide, but I love you, until the end of time." Moulin Rouge And hello Dean - Since you have some "girlie man" in you and I have some "manly girl" in me, we should get along just fine. I'll be sensitive in my responses to you. I can do that. Yes indeedy. And keep the faith, Randall! IP: Logged |

Awww that's nice."...And the lion shall lay down with the lamb." (Revelations) Isn't this what's being alluded to on the cover of 'Love Signs'? Aries is so bold and "over the top" in their emotional expression. I love that. I love the drama of it. Guess that's a fire sign common bond. PS, I know neithor of you are Leos' but I just wanted to bring that up, about the cover of Love Signs. I figured this was as good a thread as any. IP: Logged |

It's a term Linda introduced in Love Signs in the Aries-Leo chapter, that when the Lamb and Lion lay down together, there will be 1,000 years of peace.Cool, huh? IP: Logged |

That IS cool. That's in the Bible too.I once read that there are a quite a few indirect referrences or allusions to Astrology in the Bible. Do you know of any others? Anyone? I'm curious because my sweetie asked me a little while ago, didn't I think that by believing in Astrology I was rejecting God, (as we know it) and the Bible? He has Venus and Mars in Cancer in the 12th, so he has some pretty deep religious convictions and loyalties, although he's quiet about it. I told him the the Bible actually alludes to Astrology in a few different instances, and then he wanted specific examples, of course being the Virgo that he is. I couldn't think of any, except the "When the Lion lays down with the Lamb" one. So, I didn't exactly win that arguement "hands down". IP: Logged |

Hmm, the "Bibles" that are in current circulation these days are edited and do not accurately reflect the original language (that should at least pique a Virgo's attention). I read somewhere (I know I say this a lot, and I am sorry I cannot remember sources. Deepest apologies!) that there was belief that Astrology was valid, but those in "authority" did not want people to rely on it instead of "them . . ." So the bible was revised to take out as much Astrology as possible. The few that didn't make it out were how the Three Wise Men followed a star that led to the babe (duh , they were astrologers), how each of the 12 apostles represents a Zodiac sign (my favorite is Judas=Scorpio, trippy!), the bible's major characters and worlds are representations of Greek Mythology (another deep discussion), etc. The biggie, written in Gooberz (?) is a Zodiac wheel in the Vatican city. (On an ancient bathtub?) Isn't it an interesting thing how people then were "Pagans" practicing astrology, the occult, worshipping nature, were being persecuted, yet not mentioned a lot in the Bible? Oooh! That's GOOD. That's good ammunition for me to use when "revisiting" said discussion. He'll be impressed that, although I was stumpted initially, I researched it, and I now have some specifics for him. Thanks, Amy. You're sure a smarty pants. As for the thing about not remembering where you read something...don't worry about it, at least with me. I'm constantly doing that too. You just read too much to remember where you read what. It all gets tossed into the information pool. (only if the source is deemed credible, of course)

Hi Lioneye, I meant it to everyone and all times past, including when Carlo was posting rebuffs and the saran wrap picture, and I replied trying to explain what he meant before the *** -for-tats started. I know I can come across as stiff and indifferent, or fiery. Just wanted to say I'm sorry. About the obscurity, it's actually one of the problems I have communicating. Will you help me out when you catch me in those moments? It'd be helpful in helping me grow as a person. G'd night, Aphrodite IP: Logged |

Sometimes the agrument between Christians and Astrology is not that Astrology is evil, but they are afraid that one is relying on the stars to get them through life and not God. They do not understand that being into or believing in astrology does not mean one discounts a higher source or Supreme being. There are plenty of astrologers that do not believe in an entity and plenty that do. It similar to the division of belief in the Scientific community. The early church, however, felt that letting the congregation know too much, in the form of astrology, paganism or other, would somehow take away from the Church. (on a side note, I just had this convo with a Gemini, it was pretty cool). Anyway, so they outlawed the practice because it was believed that one should only have faith in God and by reading a chart / stars / transits, it meant you lacked faith. Personally, I think it is hogwash. In the Bible there are stories of prophets, dreamers, healers, and others. Why would God not want us to know how to use the stars to prepare us for something that may affect our lives or why wouldn't a Supreme being want us to learn our good and bad traits through our chart? I believe in God and was brought up Lutheran, yet I do not see how astrology and my belief in some of the old ways takes away from my faith in God. I don't want to point fingers, but I believe it was the early Roman Catholic church that began to outlaw all other practices and being somewhat demon like. In the same respect, it is some of those very same HUGE churches that won't even allow their congregation to see certain artifacts and writings that they hold so important. It is like they build a wall between the top people and the sheep, forever keeping the sheep ignorant of what they are really subscribing too.
